@brunojam1 trapezohedron only sells for 10,000 gil so don't get peoples hopes up. And you never ever never get a gold nugget from an Adamantortoise or Adamantoise or Long Gui. You only get gold nuggets from the females of that species which you don't need to use the death trick at all with.
Also, all the marks are not available to you in chapter 11. Some are specifically post-game, sorry to burst your bubble.

hope's house, keep running around the room, 2 fights every 30 seconds, lowest battle time I got is 13 seconds. 160 xp each time and chance of drop of either credit chips (500gil), incentive chips (2500gil) or phoenix downs. Sometimes you can get lucky and the enemy will drop 3 incentive chips after the battle. Played there for many hours and maxed out weapons I had on at the time, filled up crystarium as far as it could go at that point and still lots of xp left to spare, roughly around 60k left

The fact that you found an enemy which drops something good doesn't mean its any better than farming opportunities later in the game or that this is what the developers expected you to do. If you want to ENJOY the game with variety and get powerful earlier on, just fight each enemy 3 times as you go...
i did somethin like this later in the game b4 gettin vanille's eidolon there is a flan and i keep attin that for an hr and i got 1mill cp but it deosn't feel too long its like 1-2mins per battle. i kind of wish i found this video when i was doin this part of the gaem it would've rlly helped so thx for postin it
i should've done this trick when i had the chance, i was trying to beat this game before final fantasy xiii-2 came out and i was so focused on power and i realized now you have watch you characters growth through the game, hopefully ill pay more attention in FF13-2

Oh dear GOD, this is retarded. There are so many points in this game where you can do this. For instance in Hope's house, with all the soldiers and chips and xp you get. Not to talk about Orphan's Cradle, where you can loot perfumes off of sacrifices for buckets of money. And countless of other places. Grinding isn't a trick.

This is a bit late, but for chapter 8, get to the part just before you fight midlight reaper, there is a group of zwergs to the left of that place that give 640 cp per battle, just save and reload to respawn them :) do this before fighting midlight reaper otherwise itll be very hard with just sazh. :P hope it helps if you replay ff13.
i farm gil and cp in hopes' house lol and on chapter 9 before you fight bartandelus..they give you 6,808 cp per round and like every fight you get a credit/incentive chip drop > aim for 99 once or twice then go on XD, might help to play ur own music if you do this lol less you like it o.O

When you're outside of the pulmenicia (sp?) there are respawns in that entire are... Fight all enemies, then walk INTO the doorway, run around the corner to the save point, then, go back out the door & all the enemies will have respawned
problem is, they don't drop enough to make it really legit to continue full game, cause yes at chapter 7 its worthwhile but one u hit max cp and such, most will want to continue the game cause believe me once all the job opens those extra cp will go away fast, and as such one will want to move to better farming places later on in the game
@justinM39493 hope, lightning and fang their the best combo for staggering..if you want a solid team go for lightning, snow or vanille(or hope) as for sazh hes basically an all around character
One of the best ways to rape Dahaka and Bartandelus 2 is to get all the lvl 3 roles to lvl 4 and at least get all the secondary roles to lvl 1 and max the weapons they use and use the right magic and strength increase on them BEFORE you fight Dahaka then you can rape them without a problem. Took forever with the farming but it was well worth it cause you get to kick their ass. >:D
theres a Giga and a BKing fighting near the Cave to the southwest of the first Cieth stone, you'll get a Preemptive strike when you approach them. Take the Behemoth King out, and then the Giga. Theres another Behemoth King by the Chocobo and Save Point, try to get a preemptive on him to take him down easy with the Cerberus Paradigm. repeat this for a few hours, and you'll have built up about 9mill CP, then move on to the Cave to continue the story:D

I imagine most people would want to just advance the plot at that point rather than spend ages farming items when you can farm far more valuable items after finishing the story.
First thing you gotta train on when u get to gran pulse is mission 7. Easy weapon upgrading with the bomb cores or you could sell them. plus a chance for tetra crowns and tiaras which can sell for 15k and 40k gil. or upgrade the tiara to star level and dismantle for sprint shoes :P
that's one thing about thirteen is that there aren't very many places to train because no random battles like in most final fantasy games. except grand pulse u can train practically anywhere.
I think one shouldnt bother grinding in these pretty worthless Chapters. Gran Pulse is the real deal. In Pulse you'll find monsters that give you 6600(!) CP per battle. And the good thing is that they respawn every time you run around the corner for a sec. So its better to grind in Pulse( chapter 11) than wasting ur time on these little Crystogen points Chapters.

In orphans cradle, there is a wladislaus when you go up an elevator. Beat him in less than a minute for 32000 cp. Then go back down, get off, and get back on, and go back up. Your a tard if you waste time like this early in the game. Ultra compact reactors: 50,000 Gil and around 130,000 exp. If you wanna waste ur time on a game, do it right and look up shit that makes sense.
i just waited till i got to pulse and got gold nuggets from digging they sell for 60K a pop and all you got to do when you run out of dig spots is reload the game and they all respawn that and the earthworks get you about 60-80K CP in 1 run through.
you can do this trick, through out the game, you jus gotta be smart about it. at the beginning of disc 2, wen ur walking through the canyon to find hope. if u dont walk into the cut scene, jus go back an forth, you can get about 10000 to 15000cp. jus gotta hav patience. an thr plenty of other places in the game to do tricks lik that. jus apy attention. most of all enemies respawn

@Onlymaybe7 Theres a good spot in Chapter 8 before you fight midnight reaper. Theres 5 droids around a treasure sphere that give 128 CP each when they die. Run back down till you find the single one at a treasure sphere, kill that then run back up, the 5 will have respawned.
In chapter 9 you can farm the Deckdrones and Dragoons for a shit ton of CP.

Coming in at 2nd place money wise is the gold nuggets from chocobo digging. If you dont feel like getting stomped on, do that. Later on some enemies drop items that sell for 15,000 gil. just make sure your party is at a good level or else its not worth your time.
i really do think this is the best one, for this point in the game i mean. what im trying to say is that this farms up a crapload of money before hand of getting perfect conductors and the various shops stuff =D. for anyone at this point, do it! The first place i started doing this in was at Hopeless's house i just ran round in circles collecting CP and Credit Chips :) Im thinking of making a second play through to get all the weapons achievement =]
Once you reach hopes house the enemys there drop these chips and downs. the better thing about farming there or on the levithan is you get a 3 party team. also when you get to pulse theres a monster hunt mission 7 I believe that helps for cash at low level it drops 6x bomb core for weapon upgrades, a crown and tiara worth 15k and 40k respectively fight lasting 5 mins to begin but 1 min after you break the tiara down for auto-haste. any questions about this game i'd be happy to help. now make sure that the stager has 999% and fandg should do max damage on a strike (dont use bahamuts super attack)and before stager finishes use highwind (at this piont bahamut should be gone on my last coment) then use ravenge and get stager and when you have stager max it out again and now just use comand all the time and he will die(when you have the stager gauge on max you must use cerberus paragon shift) and after the battle you get 80000 cp and that whole think must be done under 2 mins
heres the coment on how to kill adamantios fast.step 1 have this party fang vanille and lighting and have fang as leader(you must have punisher lv 13 and highwind and growth egg for lighting)
next use the sproud that debufs your party with bravery and the other 2 stuffs.step 3 when started the battle sumon bahamut.next use sabatour on the adamatios and let bahamut do the other work and while bahamut is on the field you should have stagerd the adamantios already.i will finish this with other comt
Unfortunately, you can;t return to that point in post-credits play, so it's gotta be then or never. I'd advise you grind as much as you can in that one spot, max out main roles at least to Role Level 4, but really, the more you do the less you will have to do later. Level 5 items cost between 60,000 to 120,000 CP EACH so the more you have in reserve the better off you will be.

Not trolling or anything (I appreciate that you're trying to help people and that's always a good thing!) but really, don't waste too much time grinding during the story. There are much, much better opportunities after you beat the game, however, if you really want to grind, do it in Chapter 13. There is a point very near the end of the game where there is a single enemy (Wladislaus) that gives 32,000 CP and takes 5 minutes to kill. If you look it up on youtube you will find the videos of it.
Yea thats what ive been doing, with a growth egg on one of the active party members you get 80,000 cp with the possibility of attaining either a platinum ingot (common drop) or a trapezohedron (rare).
If you arent advanced enough in the game for this, theres a behmoth fighting a giant wolf thing north of gran pulse, you will always get a preemptive strike and its not a long fight at all, gives you 10,000+ cp if i remember right.
ive finished the game, and im working on getting all the achievements. I need 60,000 cp to get from one orb to another. Wait till you get to level 5 on skills....it takes ages.
From what ive seen the best way to rake in the cp is just walk around gran pulse and kill everything that breathes...except the big big nasties, becuase they kill you...quickly:P
@csmullen yeah but theres a trick get vanilles death spell thats first, then summon the eidolon that downs them then just get your eidolon out of there, i recommend gestalt then the super attack, then make a paridigim with all saboteurs and stick as many debuffs on that sucker that effects death's chances and also the belladona wand as well and vigilance so put that buff on vanille and your allies saboteur lvl as well as vanilles also effects your chances
Dont watch this your making a huge mistake dont upgrade anything untill the end of the game so you have tons of money and components to upgrade the better weapons with I beat all cieth stone mission and the game with lvl 1 weapons and when I went to upgrade i had enough money to do all the best weapons 5 times over wich is alot of money sorry I had to say it your misleading these people dont watch this sub me and ill show you the way to perfection.
Honestly, its not worth grinding at this point in the game. Leveling your weapons isn't a horrible idea IF you already know which one(s) you will be using for your ultimate weapons.

When you're outside of the pulmenicia (sp?) there are respawns in that entire are... Fight all enemies, then walk INTO the doorway, run around the corner to the save point, then, go back out the door & all the enemies will have respawned

problem is, they don't drop enough to make it really legit to continue full game, cause yes at chapter 7 its worthwhile but one u hit max cp and such, most will want to continue the game cause believe me once all the job opens those extra cp will go away fast, and as such one will want to move to better farming places later on in the game

One of the best ways to rape Dahaka and Bartandelus 2 is to get all the lvl 3 roles to lvl 4 and at least get all the secondary roles to lvl 1 and max the weapons they use and use the right magic and strength increase on them BEFORE you fight Dahaka then you can rape them without a problem. Took forever with the farming but it was well worth it cause you get to kick their ass. >:D

The Absolute Best way to farm is in chapter 11
theres a Giga and a BKing fighting near the Cave to the southwest of the first Cieth stone, you'll get a Preemptive strike when you approach them. Take the Behemoth King out, and then the Giga. Theres another Behemoth King by the Chocobo and Save Point, try to get a preemptive on him to take him down easy with the Cerberus Paradigm. repeat this for a few hours, and you'll have built up about 9mill CP, then move on to the Cave to continue the story:D

First thing you gotta train on when u get to gran pulse is mission 7. Easy weapon upgrading with the bomb cores or you could sell them. plus a chance for tetra crowns and tiaras which can sell for 15k and 40k gil. or upgrade the tiara to star level and dismantle for sprint shoes :P

that's one thing about thirteen is that there aren't very many places to train because no random battles like in most final fantasy games. except grand pulse u can train practically anywhere.

I think one shouldnt bother grinding in these pretty worthless Chapters. Gran Pulse is the real deal. In Pulse you'll find monsters that give you 6600(!) CP per battle. And the good thing is that they respawn every time you run around the corner for a sec. So its better to grind in Pulse( chapter 11) than wasting ur time on these little Crystogen points Chapters.

In orphans cradle, there is a wladislaus when you go up an elevator. Beat him in less than a minute for 32000 cp. Then go back down, get off, and get back on, and go back up. Your a tard if you waste time like this early in the game. Ultra compact reactors: 50,000 Gil and around 130,000 exp. If you wanna waste ur time on a game, do it right and look up shit that makes sense.

i just waited till i got to pulse and got gold nuggets from digging they sell for 60K a pop and all you got to do when you run out of dig spots is reload the game and they all respawn that and the earthworks get you about 60-80K CP in 1 run through.

you can do this trick, through out the game, you jus gotta be smart about it. at the beginning of disc 2, wen ur walking through the canyon to find hope. if u dont walk into the cut scene, jus go back an forth, you can get about 10000 to 15000cp. jus gotta hav patience. an thr plenty of other places in the game to do tricks lik that. jus apy attention. most of all enemies respawn

@Chocobo859 read my comment from before i explain it how you get 6,808 cp per round in the bridge access before the boss, i farm for gil there and lol i've gone to 350k cp..yea takes awhile XD but it helps if you want a slight boost before you get to chapter 11 - try it out if ur not pass it.

@Onlymaybe7 Theres a good spot in Chapter 8 before you fight midnight reaper. Theres 5 droids around a treasure sphere that give 128 CP each when they die. Run back down till you find the single one at a treasure sphere, kill that then run back up, the 5 will have respawned.
In chapter 9 you can farm the Deckdrones and Dragoons for a shit ton of CP.

Coming in at 2nd place money wise is the gold nuggets from chocobo digging. If you dont feel like getting stomped on, do that. Later on some enemies drop items that sell for 15,000 gil. just make sure your party is at a good level or else its not worth your time.

Once you reach hopes house the enemys there drop these chips and downs. the better thing about farming there or on the levithan is you get a 3 party team. also when you get to pulse theres a monster hunt mission 7 I believe that helps for cash at low level it drops 6x bomb core for weapon upgrades, a crown and tiara worth 15k and 40k respectively fight lasting 5 mins to begin but 1 min after you break the tiara down for auto-haste. any questions about this game i'd be happy to help. now make sure that the stager has 999% and fandg should do max damage on a strike (dont use bahamuts super attack)and before stager finishes use highwind (at this piont bahamut should be gone on my last coment) then use ravenge and get stager and when you have stager max it out again and now just use comand all the time and he will die(when you have the stager gauge on max you must use cerberus paragon shift) and after the battle you get 80000 cp and that whole think must be done under 2 mins

heres the coment on how to kill adamantios fast.step 1 have this party fang vanille and lighting and have fang as leader(you must have punisher lv 13 and highwind and growth egg for lighting)
next use the sproud that debufs your party with bravery and the other 2 stuffs.step 3 when started the battle sumon bahamut.next use sabatour on the adamatios and let bahamut do the other work and while bahamut is on the field you should have stagerd the adamantios already.i will finish this with other comt

Unfortunately, you can;t return to that point in post-credits play, so it's gotta be then or never. I'd advise you grind as much as you can in that one spot, max out main roles at least to Role Level 4, but really, the more you do the less you will have to do later. Level 5 items cost between 60,000 to 120,000 CP EACH so the more you have in reserve the better off you will be.

Not trolling or anything (I appreciate that you're trying to help people and that's always a good thing!) but really, don't waste too much time grinding during the story. There are much, much better opportunities after you beat the game, however, if you really want to grind, do it in Chapter 13. There is a point very near the end of the game where there is a single enemy (Wladislaus) that gives 32,000 CP and takes 5 minutes to kill. If you look it up on youtube you will find the videos of it.

Yea thats what ive been doing, with a growth egg on one of the active party members you get 80,000 cp with the possibility of attaining either a platinum ingot (common drop) or a trapezohedron (rare).
If you arent advanced enough in the game for this, theres a behmoth fighting a giant wolf thing north of gran pulse, you will always get a preemptive strike and its not a long fight at all, gives you 10,000+ cp if i remember right.

ive finished the game, and im working on getting all the achievements. I need 60,000 cp to get from one orb to another. Wait till you get to level 5 on skills....it takes ages.
From what ive seen the best way to rake in the cp is just walk around gran pulse and kill everything that breathes...except the big big nasties, becuase they kill you...quickly:P

@csmullen yeah but theres a trick get vanilles death spell thats first, then summon the eidolon that downs them then just get your eidolon out of there, i recommend gestalt then the super attack, then make a paridigim with all saboteurs and stick as many debuffs on that sucker that effects death's chances and also the belladona wand as well and vigilance so put that buff on vanille and your allies saboteur lvl as well as vanilles also effects your chances

Dont watch this your making a huge mistake dont upgrade anything untill the end of the game so you have tons of money and components to upgrade the better weapons with I beat all cieth stone mission and the game with lvl 1 weapons and when I went to upgrade i had enough money to do all the best weapons 5 times over wich is alot of money sorry I had to say it your misleading these people dont watch this sub me and ill show you the way to perfection.

Honestly, its not worth grinding at this point in the game. Leveling your weapons isn't a horrible idea IF you already know which one(s) you will be using for your ultimate weapons.

I love my 360, had it over a year put tons of hours on it but SoulReaper I agree somewhat, it gets hot as hell, it is loud and yea Rrod scares anyone that has the 360. But we still love it.
