  • he could go far heavier

  • are those solid ass pounds?

  • holy shit thats 800 lbs for 2 ....johnnie jackson claims to be the strongest bodybuilder and he could barely do 720 lb

  • @stevencage89 johnny pulled a 832 deadlift 2 weeks ago at the raw unity meet. get your facts right before writing shit on youtube

  • @haboobon Johnnie*

  • so what can he do when he experiences adrenaline rushes??

  • without a problem my ass

  • Greatest of ALL TIME.

  • 0:59 = Secret to deadlifting 800 lbs

  • Comment removed

  • Ronnie can't even hit the minimum requirement for top level strongman; he wouldn't be able to perform in a strongman competition. Especially one like Arnold Strongman Classic. Right now the *minimum* deadlift necessary is 880. And he barely completed two reps of 800.

  • @VikingII Dude, you don't get it obviously. He is 5.5 weeks out from his contest. He's much weaker here than had he not been dieting. This was part of a workout as well, with several sets before. Coleman could definitely have done strongman.

  • @TheAngeltoDemon puh-lease. That is such a ridiculous excuse. There are ripped strongman that can still do more than him! He isn't going to stack on 80+lbs on his dead-lift just because he starts eating more.

  • @VikingII I couldn't agree more with my man blackfoxmp5, when you are that lean you become tremendously weaker. That level of bodyfat is not sustainable. If you've ever even lifted heavy or dieted down, you would understand. Ask anyone who's cut down to these levels of bodyfat to see how much weaker they get. Whatever, trolls will be trolls.

  • @TheAngeltoDemon Just because I disagree with you does not make me a troll. You do not become tremendously weaker when leaner, ronnie coleman has stated it himself, that he is just as strong when he gets cut up. Even if he WASN'T it still wouldn't justify this magic unmeasured buffer of 80lbs+ that you can always hang over other athletes head and just say "5 weeks out" and claim ronnie is stronger when he is fat.

  • @VikingII Sorry man, i've been around it too much. It's calories and bodyfat that help strength out, not a ridiculous amount of fat, but to the point where you wouldn't be as shredded as he was. Being lean and strong isn't the point, and he was both, but when you get five weeks from the contest, you are started to lose muscle, water fat, it becomes very challenging.

  • @VikingII You do realize his body-fat percentage is like below 5 percent, right? No strongman competes at such low body-fat levels because you become weaker as you get lower in body fat. So the fact that he DID deadlift 800 lbs twice 5 in a half weeks out in the Mr. Olympia is amazing. If he was at, say, 17 percent body fat or higher, like other strongmen, he would be even stronger! Learn what you're talking about next time, because this guy is fucking strong!

  • without a problem ? .... he's screaming worse than my mom at the nights

  • big ass buff guy*squeeky ass voice* "yeah babay!!!!!"

  • damn ronnie coleman was nuts!

  • Lol i love the ratio between Ronnie and the Body Opponent Bag (BOB) behind him. BOB = Bigger than Me, Ronnie = Bigger than BOB, Ronnie eat me?

  • AHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAH BABYYYYY

  • straps and mixed grip..? hmmm....

  • tanto esteroide pa esa mierdaa jajajaj ya veras cuando las dejes de tomar vas a ser un obeso grasudoo de mierdaa

  • It's crazy to realize that some men can bench that.

  • @dgl1962 you know whats crazier. That a 90 lbs chimp can deadlift that as well. Even with roids humans are weak. Very weak.

  • @levedia You're right, I've read that a full grown chimp is 4X stronger than a NFL player, and they're faster as well!

If a 280 lb football player got in a fight with a 200 lb male chimp, the chimp would pull his arms out of their sockets before ripping his face off.

  • @dgl1962 I'd never want to fight a chimp because they bite and have unbelievable grip but they're legs are weak and off balance.

  • @Clueless41 Nothing is weak on a chimp its fast its strong and its bone structure much stronger than human

more resiliant. Its better in every way. The onnly thing we beat it is brains. Nothing else. Imagine a gorilla.

Forget about it. Makes me want to give up power lifting all together.

  • @dgl1962 I did not know 4 times and 200lbs chimps. That must be a heck of an animal. Imagine a gorilla

10 X stronger. It will take 10 men with fully armor the size of ronnie coleman. With spartan shields to take on a gorilla. I'm training to look good for chicks lol Fuck getting strong. So useless were not made for that. Thats why its unhealthy.

  • @levedia Our mind is where our power lyes.

Even in the wild it would be easy to fend off a chimp.

    1. We're bigger. Intimidation.

    2. We use tools to fight, like a sharp object, a large blunt object, or projectiles.

    Intelligence > All

  • @Clueless41 No i agree with weapons we have a chance much more even with a gun. This is where brains take over. I disagree with intimidation. If they see no weapon and your alone and wants to kill you i think your doomed. Maybe Tyson stands a chance if bites ears off lol But gorilla kills you instantly (if dosent like you)

unless you have a shot gun.

  • i like the little lightweight on the end just to confirm!

  • "Without a problem" you say? Looked like one hell of problem lol

  • its funny to read comments here on youtube usually those commentators dont have any vid and dont even lift yet they talk as if they can do better.

  • 0:56 woof woof woof xD

  • all that muscle and a voice like Michael Jackson!

  • LIGHTWEIGHT BABY!!!!!

  • Spotter licks his hands and slaps Ronnie on the back, lol. O_o

  • is that chuck norris behind him?

  • human hands aren't meant to hold 800 goddamn pounds people, he isn't doing a grip workout, he's doing legs

  • @BMunich16 Who says humans aren't meant to hold 800lbs? Humans are built for lifting heavy things. Picking a heavy object off the ground is something we do nearly every day. DL is one of the most functional movements you can do. I was pointing out that using a wrap detracts from the natural benefits a lifter can obtain by using the strength of his grip in order to do the lift. Not everyone trains for functional strength. Most are in it for looks. But why not both?

  • @D15AV0W3D dude humans arn't really meant to lift weights period, especially 800 lbs. Why is being a bodybuilder so difficult? because it is so hard to progress to the point to getting that big, you have to outsmart your brain into building this much muscle. Building muscle is a self defense mechanism for your body, your body doesn't want to build this much muscle.

  • 800lb DL is no joke. But if you can't grip the bar without straps, then what's the point?

  • @D15AV0W3D

If you actually lift, you would understand. 800lb is not the issue, it's your grip strength not up to par with your deadlift. Why go lighter and do a shitload of reps when you can go heavier with the support of straps?

  • @D15AV0W3D Most lifters use straps when going real heavy. Human hands are not designed to carry that much weight, there comes a point when straps are necessary. I use to think the way you do until my DL's started getting heavy and I couldn't grip the bar for more than 6 reps. THEN I began to understand. Lol!

  • @ebiatda I got it bro, I died. They would shit themselves at PF if Big Ron sneezed walking by

  • LIGHTWEIGHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • That is FUCKING INSANE!!

  • keep pushing 9

  • Actually that was a joke. I'm a huge RC fan and worked out the Mflex when I lived in Plano. Those Planet Fitness commercials and no-grunting policies are just so funny in this context. I guess my joke bombed. Thanks for the video - awesome!

  • Is this at Planet Fitness?

  • @ebiatda metroflex arlington tx

  • @ebiatda Lunk alert! Lol

  • @ebiatda no man, meat heads aren't allowed at planet fitness

  • @ebiatda It is! thats why branch works out there aswell!:)

  • @ebiatda cant be your not allowed to do any real workouts lol

  • @ebiatda No this is patrick

  • @ebiatda dont think so..

  • Got steroids? lmao

  • AGHHHH!!!!!!! yeaaa!! 800lbs

    lightweight.

  • omg its deebo! from friday!

  • hahahaha i love how after he is finished he is just like "yep lightweight"

  • hahahah i fuckin love Ronnie coleman

  • I can do 400 :D

  • As for technique, yes, some powerlifters arch their backs more during bench than bodybuilders...many, however, do not. But THERE IS NO SPECIAL TECHNIQUE FOR DEADLIFTS. You pick the shit up off the floor. In competition, it has to go STRAIGHT UP, and you can't rest it on your thighs. There is no way to "cheat." Also, in a real competition, you have to ditch those WRIST WRAPS that Ronnie is using. Could he get the weight without the wraps? I don't know. Several men could though, cause they HAVE.

  • @maaburne85 no special technique? you can't be serious... there may not be a universally accepted perfect technique for the deadlift but there is a fucking art to the technique of that lift and anyone that doesn't do it properly won't lift shit

  • @gitterfritter I deadlift 475 lbs. @ 155 lbs. bodyweight. I check powerliftingwatch.routinely, so I know it's a strong lift, and I KNOW how to deadlift. I agree that there is technique, although it differs a bit from person to person, but with conventional dl (vs. sumo) the technique is to push through the heels to initiate the lift, and try to bring the hips-back up in unison. Having said that, plenty of people who have NEVER deadlifted are capable of pulling big weight. I've seen it happen

  • @maaburne85 congrats...475@ 155bwt is good. Hang in there, you'll get 500 in no time. I train with weightlifting shoes on convetional, do DL's with different grips, clean width, snatch width, ect., but wear wrestling shoes and DL sumo in meets. I thnk the sumo DL is excellant at displaying strength but not really good at building it because of the leverage advantages.

  • @norkaalum I find that even though for sumo DL we move only a little, it's harder to perform than conventional.... think i can only deadlift 90kg sumo, but 150kf conventional.....
