  • Its hairy down there!!

  • well done u soo smooth!, as its nearly a year ago u should show how she looks now! beautiful!!

  • you go girl!! A beautiful portrayal of the experience of the gift of life. thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world, jah knows so many need child birth education...i loved it!

  • whys she naked? :/ how weird and with so many little kids around.

    wdf!!

  • I cried my eyes out !! I love this and will watch it again ! thank you for sharing this magical part of your life with a strange such as myself ! and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you had your kids involved ! I will be sharing this with friends

  • This is amazing. I love how at peace you are, and how I can tell the you're completely confident in what a womens' body was met to do. You're a beautiful mother. I absolutely adore that your children are involved, so they don't grow up fearing the pain of birth, but rather embracing such an experience. When I have children it will be by home birth. You give me strength.

  • i wouldnt be able to let my kid see me naked. it would be really weird for me lol. but i love that you got your daughter involved and it looks like it was a beautiful experience. congrats!

  • beatiful

  • such a beautiful video. we are getting married in July but have discussed that when we have children it will be unassisted and at home. pprefer waterbirth. love that your children were involved. congrats.

  • Your armpits are a lil hairy hun...

  • Wow I loved this video! It was a great calm soothing relaxing birth... What you can't find in hospitals... If I ever do have children I wish to have a birth as beautiful as this one!

  • @edaj84 god damn... how many pages did u click thru before seeing my comment? you fucking jobless hippie. i see u wrote a bunch of long replies ... guess what? i didn't read past the first sentence. go get a job u stupid cunt.

  • @MisterPeetBull Hehe what was your about? I posted a comment about a year ago and thought the same thing! Bothering me when I've been quiet for a year is a very bad thing its like waking a sleeping beast. Reap the whirlwind biach! Obviously these are people who are what you call stay at home mums they don't work they only have babies. You could argue that there would be more useful things to do but you know what can you do?

  • @TheBeautifulfreak I am not a stay at home mother, I work damn hard. my mother was not a SAHM either, she is a solicitor. I am more than willing to be called a bitch by a brainless follower if it helps to educate people who think and who do research.

  • @edaj84 Who gives a fuck about what you do? Your not concerned with the welfare of others and want to live in a bubble! Assuming your smarter than everyone else you know, Truly smart people doctors for example use their brains to help people and most would say home birthing advocates are quacks who think they know better than trained medical professionals. The sheer arrogance of it. I would hope people had their babies in hospitals in case anything were to go wrong.

  • @TheBeautifulfreak I am not ok with being accused of being a crazy, stupid, uneducated woman. I do not live in a bubble, I look after children otehr than my own because the homes they come from are broken for whatever reason, drug abuse, violence, alcohol. I currently have 3 exrtra children at my home. I would hope that people do their research and then birth their babies in the safest location for them and thir baby physically, emotionally and mentally. Home is a safe option.

  • @edaj84 Talk about self important and self righteous. "It would be hard to read Charles Darwin due to him being a person, but I assume you mean one of his publications. Twat! The mind boggles! You must have an insecurity about your intelligence and education because its obviously a sore spot! Listing every title you can google lol.

  • @edaj84 And if you are a truly useful selfless person then good on you! Who can really know the truth. And don't confuse academically smart with evolved thinking. You don't know the difference. You should read Charles Darwin it would enlighten you!

  • @TheBeautifulfreak It would be hard to read Charles Darwin due to him being a person, but I assume you mean one of his publications. I have not read all of his books. I have read On the Origin of Species, his most well renowned book a number of times. The Descent of Man, and Selection in Relation to Sex was an interesting read, as was The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals. I have skimmed through his other works.

  • @TheBeautifulfreak I agree, Charles Darwin is enlightening. about everything from sex, to evolution, to orchids.

  • @MisterPeetBull Every page because I was reading all of the comments. I have 3 jobs thanks. I am a legal secretary, aged care worker and a doula. I am sorry that I wasn't at work when I commented, I was winding down after work and getting ready to go to bed while my husband was at work. If homebirthing makes me a hippie, so be it. I don't give a fuck whether you read my responses, someone with half a brain or the uploader might and that is all that matters.

  • For all those who say that it will scare or traumatise the kids, I would like to reply. I witnessed births when i was 6,7,9,17 All it did was show me that birth isn't a panic, it is part of "everyday" life, something to be taken in your stride, embraced, involves nudity but that goes fairly unnoticed because you are focused on a huge event. It inspired me to be a doula and MW, to educate women about what birth can be, what it doesn't have to be. I was not scarred, I was motivated and in awe.

  • @edaj84 I'm giggling at the Huge event bit! How is it a huge event especially after having what 5 kids?

People give birth every minute. Non event would more likely sum it up!

  • @TheBeautifulfreak Any birth is a monumentous occasion and a celebration that the whole family can take part in if they want to.

  • That was a beautiful, calm birth and very inspirational. Thankyou for putting this video on as it helps train us other women to become prepared and empowered for our own upcoming births. Also how lovely to have such a loving and supportive partner with you. A gorgeous family!!

  • well first off her pussy is to hairy second isn't it illegal for your underage children to be seeing things like this you mentioned your son was 12 that recorded this he knows whats going on he def should not have been viewing i'll be reporting this video to defax

  • @88Rx7Fanatic Lol I agree with you, people are so involved in their own bubbles they don't care if their children would be upset by it. Its their opinion that their children should watch and "witness such a natural act "and have taken that choice away from them by ramming down their throat. What 12 year old boy wants to sit through that? Of course they don't.

  • I love this video and hope that more women will trust in nature!

Homebirth is a wonderful way to give birth.

We are all born to birth!

It´s a good thing to do it in the middle of the family.

Thats life, thats normal, thats nature - for mummy, daddy, baby and the children!

    Thank you for showing it!

  • @spleenymom Stupid hippie, "We are all born to birth? fuck the planet then obviously overpopulation rules! Don't obviously care that their are so many children in care because people "wanted to Birth" But weren't willing to give their kids a decent start and do whats right for them. Evidently some people should not birth!

  • I hope it shows people a birth can bea family occasion, it will be more comfortable

  • I think its great you made it look soo easy and natural however, I don't personally think appropriate for a twelve year old to see his motther naked just my opinion

  • @kmhadw You are so right, totally agree!

  • oh sorry i know this sounds bad but my best friend made that comment... i very aware of the birthing experience i took classes ive been in the room and stuff i havnt had my own yet tho, but i apologize and congrats on your beautiful baby and i hope that when the time comes i can give birth as strongly and amazingly as you did

  • Beautiful video!!! So informative and natural. I want to have a home birth someday. :)

  • this is beautiful!!! congrats on your wonderful bundle of joy! thank you for posting..Blessed Be )o(

  • Great video! So pleased to have found this. We're due any day and I can't wait to show this to my kiddos. God bless you all!! <3

  • Why was the little girl naked

  • THE BABY'S BLUE!!! HELLOOOOO

  • @amber66133 Ever seen any other newborn? They're all a weird color for up to a week. Plus, I'm pretty sure she was still covered in amniotic fluid.

The baby was alert and moving, the mom was comfortable with her decision to home birth and had the proper support for it - that's way more important than looks!

  • @sunriseschild yea i have and i understand that my bestie made the comment

  • @amber66133 thats what they look like when they 1st come out usually. Its all the birthing fluid etc. Sometimes they look a bit redder but thats usually blood.

  • fucking hot!!

  • did it hurt?

  • Incredibly beautiful! Thank you for the inspiration as I prepare to birth my first baby at home in June :-)

  • How the fuck did I get here, and WHY did I watch it.....

  • That was so beautiful. Having your children there must have been wonderful. The little girl rubbing your shoulders was adorable. Beautiful baby. I wish my birth was as "nice" as this. I ended up having a c section.

    Congrats

  • Uuum, this is incredibly wierd. Do you guys live in a tree or something?

  • Nice tits!!!!

  • iam surprised to she your children so mature about this..that really nice :)

  • sooooooooo beautiful! thank you for sharing, helps me loose my fear! congratulations!!

  • I think this was the most beautiful and natural thing a woman could possibly do, and how strong you are to go through this at home with your family and children, hospital is only natural to us because thats what we are told, but this was the most natural birth ive ever seen, to you those who choose to be nasty..her children being there is called ''support'' her family there with her at home was her choice of ''drug / pain killer'' like to see other woman have birth at home with no drugs.W DONE

  • did you have midwives? and did they do a fundal massage? how long did they wait to let your placenta come out naturally? ... i had a very rough and aggressive fundal massage with my birth and just wondered how your experience went.

  • @monicababy45 I had a very laid back midwife who I asked not to interfere unless absolutely necessary, not sure what fundal massage is, and yeah we wait for placenta to come out with no worries, it always takes about a half hour for me!

  • @amashanti1 Fundal massage is a completely unnecessary (unless mama is having a PPH), painful practice that entails externally "massaging" the uterus in order for it to contract down. I think you would be hard pressed to find a homebirth midwife who did it routinely.

  • @amashanti1 Have you ever thought about adopting children? There are a lot of children in care.who need homes millions in fact.

  • CONGRATULATIONS

  • Congratulations! your baby looks so serene, that's wonderfull :)

  • great video...i'm due in around 8 weeks. well done...you stayed so calm!!! alot better than some women. hope i do as well as you. thanks for the vid...made me feel loads better about everything xx hope your well

  • This was a beautiful birth! My children, ages 4 and 7, have recently become interested in birth, and it is such a privilege to be able to show them natural, wonderful births such as yours.

  • im going for a home birth and i hope it will be as awesome as this :)

  • Thank you so very much for sharing this!!! My baby 4th baby is due in march 2012 and he will be born at home!!!!

  • I love that you include video of her afterwards. She is beautiful and so was your birth.

  • nice baby delivering skills

  • Thank you so much for uploading this amazing experience for us to share. I have tears in my eyes, as the way your daughter comforted you was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. You have A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY. Thank you again!

  • This is so lovely thankyou for sharing :)

  • This is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing, you did a wonderful job!

  • Such an awesome video!! I'm also having a home birth, due the beginning of Jan. I'm just curious as to what were your pain management tactics?

  • You were doing so great !! I am 24 weeks pregnant now and horrified by the thought of birth because this will be my first. You are so good at managing pain, I can't believe it. Thaks for sharing!!

  • that was a lovely video and thankyou for sharing it. that looks exactly how a child should be born - in a calm controlled and intimate enviroment instead of a cold hospital with a load of strangers

  • I found this video to be very inspiring. Women in America have lost their way so to speak, in knowing what a natural birth is. This is beautiful and I found it beautiful that your kids were able to be there and support you . Lovely family. Thank you

  • I can't help but think that if sitcoms would show birth like this instead of like a panic-inducing crisis, broader perceptions would change to honor women and family more.

  • So beautiful. I watched as part of my research to prepare for a home birth. Thank you for sharing this with us. I can't wait to share my third birth with my two older children as well. What a profound family-honoring sacrament. Hope you're all doing well.

  • and lastly, if it is mostly due to seeing a naked woman's body, and a baby being born up close and personal, then maybe they should have changed the channel as if it were. There are a lot of other things right now that are more controversial and to be worried about then this. Your video is awesome !, one of the best i've seen. BTW how much did they baby weigh?

  • What a beautiful birth!!!!!

I love how your little girl was rubbing your shoulders, the whole family was there to welcome your new edition, can't ask for anything more!

    Congratulations :)

  • I want to thank you for sharing. I frequently have trauma dreams of giving birth to my children. The trauma in them are because of the environment that I had them. Doesn't the hospital remove the sacred? Indeed it does. I was told that this was the way it had to be done. Had I known there was an alternative... I would have done as you have.

  • Babies can be blueish to start. It can take a minute or two for breathing to get established. Babies are not pink in utero and become pink once breathing is established.

  • Thanks for sharing your beautiful birth online - 1/4 of a million people have watched it so far and maybe a few of them have changed their ideas about birth. I have 4 children, 3 born at home, each time the elder witnessing something calm, gentle, safe and natural which will hopefully stay with them the rest of their lives. I truly believe if we can stop birth abuse - of women and their babies - we could possibly end many other forms of abuse too.

  • That would have scared me, it seemed as though the cord was around the baby's neck. Glad to see he eventually pinked up after taking his first cry

  • Beautiful birth! Thank you for sharing

  • congratulations on a beautiful experience, beautiful family, and beautiful new baby!

  • This video is so gorgeous... I love it. I gave birth in a hospital my first child but I will love to have a home birth my next baby... I enjoy it... The fact of just watching it excites me!!!

  • Umm why are the children naked?

  • Umm why are the children naked?

  • Thankyou so much for sharing this wonderful moment in yours and your families life, I was reminiscing tonight and found your movie. 12 months ago today I supported my daughter through the birth of my second grandson, not at home unfortunately but with medical people standing by but not involved in his birth, it was the one of the most amazing moments I have ever experienced in my life. Your children were so beautiful to watch and the love in this family is so obvious, this child is very lucky

  • Well done!!! Wonderful video. Lovely to have your family so involved xx

  • I tell you what that is... fuckin madness... you guys are crazy.

  • so beautiful!

  • I thinks its beautiful and natural. Some people need to grow up, I'm an expecting mother and I think it takes a strong minded woman to do what she did and half of you don't have the balls to even go through half the pain and make it look that calm.

  • you guys are crazy ! this got me scare to have my girls

  • Beleza Pura!! I'm all teary eyed watching this. Haven't seen this yet. Wonderful Shanti. I know all these people in this video, they are all amazing.

  • I personally wouldn't want my kids present. Yes, while it provides comfort for them (knowing that you're all right instead of being quarinteened in another room with no idea what's happening), but giving birth is an intimate experiance that should be shared with a partner or a close family member or friend - not the whole family!

Still, that's my personal opinion and they seemed to handle it fairly well. Good job! ^^

  • beautiful, beautiful family!

  • No ballmouse......abortion is. One flap of skin is nothing compared to a life.

  • that was so cool so my sister wants to do this we are all so worried but your baby was born ok

  • Absolutely Beautiful! There is nothing else to say...just amazing!

  • Lovely birth, and lovely supportive kids. Really, you MUST just ignore the stupid comments...that's just part of the internet, it happens everywhere, on ever forum. I think it's best to actually just pretend that the comment wasn't made. Probably teens (or juvenile minds..) typing in something they feel uncomfortable with. Did someone compare sex and birth..?!? Ugh. and haha..hmmm yes birthing a baby, and having sex...so similar.

  • Um why are people being negative about a birth? Mind your own business and don't watch something so personal if you your just doing it to judge. How ill of you. Sex and child birth are so totally different, the children do not look distressed and it's their parents decision regardless. Thank you for sharing your video and beautiful moments it had been very helpful in my decision to homebirth, well done family, especially the obviously very well adjusted children

  • thank you for sharing. my 5-month-old was delivered at home with my three older children present... watching your video makes me want to do it all over again! xo

  • omg!!! tha children.. !!! ... why r there children there...

  • the lil girl is an awesome doula

  • Every one here is so judgemental and criticizing this for no reason if your disgusted by it then go watch something else simple as that don't even bother commenting if you don't have no positive words to say !

  • And to all who say thank you, it is such a pleasure to read that some people enjoyed and perhaps even got inspired by our birth, you are so welcome! Birthing to me is a pure, incredible, oh-so-far from gross or taboo and my children were there because they wanted to and they are a caring, talented, wise, awesome group of kids who know much more than most adults nowadays. So yes Maher890 i deny and dissagree, birth is not smelly, far from traumatic, and totally different from sex, and up to me c

  • To all the people who seem disgusted, offended, fustrated by our video I have a question - why are you watching a homebirth video? And who are you to judge what is right or wrong, we are all different, I am sure that if I got a glimpse of your life that I could be disgusted with aspects of it. Why voice such negative thoughts, what's the point?

  • That is interesting there would be some who would get frustrated by watching this, disgusted maybe, offended, perhaps, but its funny (interesting), how there are those who will say a viewpoint BUT can't back it up with a qualifying statement upoon the emotion that they are feeling at the time. Personally I think people need to grow up, and learn to seperate this, and alike from sexual acts, if thats how they preceive this and similar videos.

  • ballmOuse - even if it was a boy at home you are free to be, I have three sons, all uncircumcised.

  • luckily IT WAS A GIRL. that means no circumcision. that is the most barbaric and unnatural thing doctors do to newborns in the USA.

  • what a privilege to witness this most beautiful calming birth. thank you

  • the bellies sure do get huge >.<

  • wow. i love this video. so calm. im 35 weeks pregnant with my first. his name is jason. im 19 and after watching this video i feel more calm about having him. u make it look so easy. i will have my mother and bf in the room with me when i have him. i think im going to show them this video to show them if ur just calm and relaxed that i will be fine. thank you so much for posting this video. btw ur baby girl is beautiful and so are you and ur family.

  • How are they aloud to show this on youtube

  • Comment removed

  • Im sorry, but a man can never fully understand I'm not saying that there isn't any understanding just not fully. I fully agree with you that everything is based on perception, my point is that I wish society did see it different. It's utterly fantastic, I wish people just didn't concentrate on things like "o she has saggy boobs" or "shave your pussy" completely irrelevant, i'm sure you agree with that! I wish peoples perceptions are how I see it, because there is no other experience like it!

  • @ica890

You don't have to be a women to know it all and vice versa

  • @ica890

The children are too young to be in there. I know you disagree and everyone other person who sides with you but whatever... That doesn't matter everything is a matter perception whether its about observing sex or child birth. Birth along with sex is one of nature paradoxes I'm not saying its all grotesque but there are something that can't be denied

  • This is amazing. I like the way you have the chirldren involved there is nothing more natural.

  • that was amazing!!! when i watch hospital births i am always left feeling like i was witnessed something traumatic. thats just not what i want when its my time to have a child. there is a beautiful calm with natural births that is assuring and everything just seems more mindful of how the body works.

  • Very interesting to see everyone's very different point of views!!!

  • @CrazyApril what are you talking about i love her natural child birth

  • There is nothing plan and simple about birth. Its complex, fascinating, visually grotesque, mind blowing, smells awful, very stressful for the mother, physically. Also a very traumatic event for new borns because of shock! There is nothing plan and simple about birth!!

  • Children are too young to be in the room when their mother is give birth, there should be boundaries. Protect the children by not having them in their is all I'm saying.

  • @ica890's

Yes we all came into the world birth but before birth can ever take place, sex has to happen in order for birth to occur, i think you know that right? The act of sex is almost 80% less graphic and visually trauma then watching birth. Yes birth is more fascinsting to watch but on the contrary its more traumatic to watch. Your right our society and many others have a collective perception issue when it came to sex, it overly taboo. But my point is.. Is that the children are too young

  • @Maher890

I see your point, I really do, but you can't put sex in the same box as birth. Yes I do agree with it being graphic and I myself have seen births which are shocking, however this birth is normal and is far far away from being graphic trust me! I don't doubt that this family would have avoided their children seeing it if they felt it was disturbing. I believe everyone's opinion is based on how they have been brought up. And for your info, birth is stressful for a biological reason!

  • @Maher890

what way is every birth traumatic for a new born? Enlighten me on how you know this? Have you studied this? Everyone says it's disgusting, smelly (however I disagree with that point!) , a woman's body is made to give birth, despite what woman say, that was how birth was attended to happen. No man on this earth can understand so it's all well men saying this and that about labour and the birth, none of you can ever understand. Most woman will always agree it was worth every second!

  • i think it's kinda weird that she was naked in front of her kids ( i know she was giving birth) and y would she let one of her kids (i know she is little) be filmed naked and put it on youtube where there is child predators?

  • hawa wanawake wa huko nje ni wazembe mana hata hizo nywele hawazipunguzi.. ndo mana watoto wanatoka na akili za maajabu..

  • Some of ya'll mothers don't believe in appropriate physical boundaries with your childrens and thats wrong. Im agruing on behalf of the chidren. Things done with good intentions do not always produce good results. Come on parents!

  • Sorry to rain on ya'll parade but the fact that they allowed their young children to be in there caressing her while she fully nude and give birth is disturbing. If the children are allowed to that much exposure then they might as well let there children observe how a child is created via sex. Why not the of birth is more sacred and visually graphic the the act sex and all is done out of love anyways. Birth is methphorically beautiful but also very grosteque and not for young minds. Some of ya'

  • @Maher890

that is completely different. Sex is abused in so many ways. Two people make love to have children, however society thinks of sex more than just a way of having children. Things like porn, rape, sexually abuse , just to list a few! Children should not be subjected to these kind of things however birth is plan and simple. A woman bringing into the world her child. Simple as that. Why should anyone be disgusted by this when its the way everyone came into the world!

  • Incredible amount of full nudity! Love the closeups of your big brown nipples and hairy vulva!

  • Wow, that was amazing! I can only hope to be able to experience this one day! Unfortunately, I've inherited a very narrow-hip structure from my mother. If I hadn't been born by Cesarean, we both would be dead. I feel like I'm missing out on part of my life by not being born naturally and also not being able to give birth naturally. :(

  • This is really beautiful! I am excited for my home birth!! Very motivational

  • Beautiful video my very first daughter her birth went all wrong and I lost her so my other two were cesarean and I am grateful I have my children just wished I could have experienced natural birth

  • Just gorgeous!! The whole birth was so calm and so natural. Congratulations.

  • what women doesnt shve their armpit's???? that's gross!!!!!!!

  • @bhadqurl99 lol

  • @bhadqurl99 LOL

  • Awesome birth! how was this baby conceived what position?

  • AWE! Her daughter is massaging her :)

  • i heard that teens cant have home births and well thats wrong. watever my sister had a home birth an she is a teen. I will have one too. beautiful, beautiful video congrats

  • Beautiful baby:) congratulations! And @gunesgun, she may be a barren mother. That means u can't have babies naturally.

  • Beautiful. Congratulations! All four of my babies were safely and gently born at home, the last when i was 43 years old. My beautiful daughters were the most lovely doulas, just like your children. The ignorance and misogny of some of the comments only goes to show how great is the need for education and awareness of healthy normal womanhood and birth. "The time I save on depilation I devote to revolution." God (Yah) bless you!

  • I am so amazed, and it pains me to say I will never experience that. If I could have children I'd have at least 4 and I'd have them with me, loving me through the whold process of childbirth. I sometimes feel like less of a woman because I cannot have one. Thanks so much for sharing this BEAUTIFUL experience with me, because it made me have images I can dream are real, even if only when I sleep.

  • @nuttyangel73 why cant you have one?

  • amazing job to the mom and family. the kids were awesome and so grown up. good luck in the future and hope you have blessed family.

    God bless

  • What a gorgeous birth video! Thank you for sharing.=]

You have amazing children as well, helping you though all that..

It may be a tad late but congratz on your gorgeous girl..=]

  • Thank you so much for sharing!

I've been a believer in intervention-free (unless absolutely, absolutely necessary!) home birthing whenever a woman is low risk, etc., etc. and it's always rewarding for me to see how the most relaxed and at-ease birthing moms, such as yourself, are found outside hospitals! After my bf and I marry in 2013, we're looking forward to having happy, healthy babies outside the hospital- God-willing! Happy for your family and the healthy kiddo! ^_^

Pay no mind to the neg

  • Wow! Absolutely phenomenal job!!

  • I'm definately going to have a home birth if everything is fine. I think it's the best thing in the world, especially since i'm only going through it once. :) I would love my stepsons to be there, since they'll be in their teens, but I'm not positive of that. Ah well, I have about 5 years to think about it.

  • naked babies every where!!! lol

  • Age restricted video but having a bunch of your kids watch this shite is okay? Scarred for life! Don't give a fuck about these kids and their delicate understanding of whats real and what isn't which is why people grow up to become eccentrics and oddballs! Its all about you yourselves and your stupid hippy values! Sterilization would be the best thing you ever did for the planet instead of filling it with more useless fodder!

  • @TheBeautifulfreak One not traumatised homebirth witness here. All it did to me was make me see how awesome birth can be and inspire me to homebirth.

  • WOW✿ THIS LADY REALLY MAKES ME FEEL ALOT MORE BETTER! no screaming, good support ppl around, im barley 19 and going to have my 1st baby on Feb 11/2012.. I hope im as calm as her!! ✿

  • Beautiful birth!

  • I love it how the little girl is nakie just like mummy, sooo cute :) What a fantastic birth done the way it should! Perfect!

  • ruma huora, en panisi

  • Beautiful

  • Incredible video :) so natural and controlled. Congrats

  • 2:40 wtf? child porn?

  • -Jah, yes i grew up in a rasta family for part of my childhood. - almostvkilled the baby, that's the dumbest comment i ever got, you obsiously had no idea what you are talking about.

  • Thank you... JAH?? Isn't that the Jamaican's god or something?

  • Can't even see the baby
