I think they're still going to do a remake starring Ryan Gosling as Logan. It's suppose to be more true to the book than to the 1976 movie. It's suppose to come out in 2014. Keep your fingers crossed.:)
I saw this as a young lad. Farrah Fawcett was the best special effect in it.Jenny was a close second. But the soundtrack was more memorable than the movie, believe me.
How strange. How could anyone hate this film? I thought it was really good and it had all the elements needed to show a great saga. And you must remember the marvellous interpretation and the dignity of Peter Ustinoff. I can't say that this is my favorite film but it is one of the best. And with this new concept brought by your video, it turned excelent. Why weren't you born in 1976?
I can't say I enjoyed this movie...however, I enjoyed your version of editing...great work! This wasn't my most hated movie...I didn't really even give it a score in my head...but 42Teo hit the nail on the head regarding The English Patient...what a waste of time! UGH! You did a grand job on this...Hugs! Red
This video is incredible, marvellous, exquisite, I don't know what more to say. This movie was my most hated for a long time. Then I saw The English Patient and it went to the second place of the most hated movies. But now, seeing your video, I think I need to take my courage and try to see it again.
@GreetingsfromWills - The film depicts a futuristic society where survivors of a nuclear war live in a domed city controlled by a computer. The residents of the city are all young. The computer provides for all their needs, leaving the residents free to pursue pure hedonistic pleasure. However, each person must die after 30 years. Michael York plays a Sandman, whose job is to hunt down and kill those who try to escape their fate. But, one he discovers the truth, he decides to run himself.
I didn't see the film but I loved the video. Michael York seems to be the perfect actor for the role (I think) and the eternal Farrah-Fawcet captured my eyes as well as the whole special effects.
Alternately good and good and cheesy special effects, an important sentiment about freedom, and some pretty good performances (Ustinov and York especially) mixed with some that aren't, give this film the feel of a mixed bag. But I always liked it very much and you've done a great job of capturing the overall feel of the film.
it had a great concept, with the themes of Faith and Religion (Sanctuary), the fear of growing up and getting older, fading beauty, it's a shame that technology wasn't up to the task in 1976, but nevertheless the film is still a cult classic, and Ustinov was great in it
You have done a marvelous job on this, although I didn't like the movie in '76 and I don't like the movie now! That being said, and fair to say I feel, your work here is outstanding.
