no... you must use a light rod with a thing strong line cast. Those combined with the lure, you can make quite a far cast....

is the original floater good for pike? god ive tried 3 years to catch one but never successful....soo im looking for a lure that is shallow and good for pike...any advice would be great!

len thompson five of dimonds or red devil are legendary lures that work great on pike

Rapala isnt any better than other baits, when many people use rapala, many people get much fish on rapala! Rapala have some baits that are really good, but not better than the other lures

if your going for bass or pike go for the rapala crankbaits that dive like 16 feet they work great, for soft baits use gary yamamoto senkos or yum plastics, if you like panfish use gulp earthworms.

Can someone tell me what the difrence is between a bait caster and just a normal spinning rod an dnormal real?

baitcaster reels sits on top of the rod and you hold it in the palm of your hand. The spool spins to let out or take in line versus a spinning reel that sits under the rod and a "bail" spins around the spool when you reel in.baitcasters are good for bigger lures and line for catching bigger fish and casts are more accurate because you can slow down the lure in flight.Spinning reels are good when there is limited casting space or when you are "finesse" fishing with light tackle.Tight lines!

Lol rapalas ARE good evrywhere they are just more expensive than other lures.

If you dont ;ike rapalas cos you cant cast well with them [the small ones for trout and stuff] just use braided line, againt bit more expensive but worth it

to catch northerns, in the late spring/early summer, go in the shallows with weeds, and use original or oother raplas i catch atleast 2 or 3 a day, plus bass and walleys

I got one of these X-raps last year and the first cast i caught a 4 1/2 lbs lrg. Mouth,, these are just simply brilliant. I was never a fan of lures untile i picked up a rapala now ill never go back to live bait!!

Salmo lures are made in Poland and are even better than Rapala (at least they look more realisticly).

Rapala only has fame, I knows several lures better, with more exploitation and cheaper. I myself make mine lures and I have more exploitation. Good lure depends on who works it. Rapala deserves congratulations for inventing, but only therefore.

Rapalas rule, in my book! Those clown-colored x-raps do what they say! I am using the X-8 for freshwater, though. Countdowns can't be beat, either! Good video, makes me want to go and buy some more. :)
