That was brilliant, what a tune, added to my faves! I love this old skool sound. Born in the 80's! Woooooo!!!!!!!! Still before my time, but fuckin' 'ell this is AWESOME!
i remember hearing this on capital radio with mike allen "the big boss in london" on my phillips tandem ghetto blaster... i should ave been asleep as it was passed my bedtime , but i had play and record on , and my headphones on.... has always been a massive tune and a turning point in my life when i really discovered electro. ( i am now37 !!!! btw)

Back then we were young b-boys and rebels and we dressed fresh and smoked weed! We hated school but loved hip-hop and we stole money for records and bombed the place, now hip hop has turned into lolly-pop.
Longg time since I heard this. Forgot it...but not totally, becaurse it all comes back. I'm a kind of a Rain Main regarding songs:) It has a kind of a dark, industrial kind of feel...Still feelable
Oi!! smokyjoe you obviously dont own any vinyl yourself!! for future reference its.. T.U.R.N.T.A.B.A.L.I.S.M. AS BROUGHT 2 US BY THE LIKES OF GRAND MASTER THEODORE,ROB SWIFT,MIX MASTER MIKE ,Q BERT,DJ SHADOW!!! NEED I SAY MORE!! 5 ELEMENTS!!?? DJ..,MC.., AND B BOYS. I DONT KNOW WHERE YOU LEARNT TO ADD UP BUT THATS 3.!!!! AS DE LA SOUL SAID ITS THE MAGIC NUMBER
wot a tune..takes me back to good times with fresh music..end track off side 1 of electro 10 if my memory serves me right..got all electro albums on 1 MP3 disk and still listen to em now...Peace out !!!!
@cantosis2007 Hi I must answer your question, I loved all these tracks back in the 80's yes you can get all this stuff on cd, thanx for youtube & people uploading the tracks on here. If you search what ever your after & get yourself a laptop or have a good computer then get yourself a CD recorder link it up with a wire to the headphone out put jack plug into your cd player with a cdrw. Then you can rip the music from the cd to your computer and have it forever.
I actually think that this is my favourite "electro" rap record ever, still remember getting Electro 9 from "Our Price" (still one of my favourites in the series)...and hearing Mike Allen playing this...this record is much better than the "La Raza" stuff later on to me....
Yes this is electro...electro is the music used for breakdance...breakdance is one of the 5 elements of hip hop (mcing, turntableism, beatboxing, grafitty & breakdance)...so it is hip hop...
It seems to me that many young forks don't realize that electro is an element of hip hop. Isn't "Planet Rock" hip hop song? I don't want to hear "f__k hip hop, I love electro" nonsense.
@jvcforce Today a lot of kids don´t understand the difference between hiphop & rap. Like KRS-ONE said:" Rap is something you do and hiphop is something you live." Peace and great upload. Really one serious joint of a electro song. 5*
@jvcforce i'm 34 ffs. i grew up with electro. that was a lame remark by me tbh sayin fk hip hop.... i take it back. It's just that a lot of hip hop has taken a route that aint lazer-focused on being FRESH... and to me, being fresh is what electro is about.
I was actually convinced, that hip hop consists of 4 parts: bboying, graffiti, rap music and turntableism. I haven't heard that beatboxing is a part of hip hop...
Even in "The Freshes Kids" movie, which is documentary film about hip hop it is said.
Officially there are only 4 elements. Beatboxing is mostly seen as a 'lesser' element of hip hop, that is a part of the culture but not an element. I really don't understand why, because in my definition of hip hop, beatboxing is a core element of the hip hop culture. A lot of 'hip hop heads' , think similar. But sadly, most of them neglect it.
@smokyjoe81 actually "beatboxing" is not one of the original elements of hip hop and is still not recognized as one of the 4 elements of hip hop. And it's not called "breakdance." It's "breaking" or "b-boying" or "b-girling". Breakdance is a commercial term dubbed by the media in the early 80's. And as electro music is popular within that culture, it is not the preferred genre for getting down. Not to be a dick, just an FYI.
nope . its electronic music . it originated from the USSR ... with the first electronic musical instrument called "Theremin" and invented by Léon Theremin . in the USSR in the 1920s .
