I really liked it. I don't know why but I think it just worked in a strange peculiar way. it feels fresh. Love the narrative... so much better than the horible scripted dialogue you see in some short films..
I tried to ensure that not too much of the dialog matched the image as i wanted it to have a lilting dream-like feel. When the images co-insided with the audio it was supposed to be a "happy accident", as I'm dubious about films that spell things out too much to the audience. Having said that, I didn't have enough time to film REALLY interesting random images and so totally appreciate how distracting seeing a piece of grey piping was when people where chatting about rubber chickens!
I loved your yellow dress blowing in the wind, it was so soothing- and so was the way you pasted all of the voices together, it was very smooth. towards the end i think the visuals were so abstract from the audio that its hard to know what was more important. Should we be paying more attention to the details being described or the details we are seeing? Although, maybe it is more realistic this way, it is not too often we take enough time to devote ourselves to one detail at a time.
hi flo! i still love this, no matter how much it makes me MISS those days! liked your other videos also.
hope you're well and still creating
