ive been taking paxil for a week, but going on youtube and seeing all the bad videos about it i dont think im going to take it anymore. thanks for the video.
@mikey420100 your welcome, it took guts to post this but i know warning people is worth it since it was bad enough i went to this extent to blog about it.
@brixxx510 ok, lol and this is coming from someone that made a comment on a video about doing meth and telling how it makes you see things after using it lol.. sigh.. ok, you try paxil for three months straight on (its cheaper than meth) then after 90 days stop the medicine cold turkey and see how you man up to that..youll definantly say "oh.. 0_o!
@masterpsychosis I can sit here and bash Paxil but it has helped me, it does have it setbacks but whats the other option, get atmitted to the psycward, kill someone or kill myself. Now I'm not saying I'm any of these catagories but it starts some where, You're to deppressed or to angry and it builds up until boom and theres's no going back after boom.
@edmora80 the whole "shocker" about this whole nasty exprience was that i never had one ounce of rage until i got introduced to my anti-depressant! The doctor prescribed it to me to relax my worries that kept me from sleeping all night.. i have horrible insomnia.. nyquil doesnt even make me 1% drowsy to use as an example. So i never really took medicine because of angry issues or similar things.. so this pill brought out another me i knew never existed.. like Dr. Jykll and HYde..im happy now.
What c'mon really I've gone off paxil a half dozen times mind zaps the whole bit, but I've never gone into fits of rage.. wow. I've been of paxil for 10 years ! Try effexor withdrawl symptoms !
@INFJman Well im glad it didnt hit you hard.. i couldnt imagine effexor.. then again brain chemistry is unique in all of us.. evidently it was bad enough i had to sit and make this 10 minute video..from what i still remember i would give a months pay not to feel that again lol..
@INFJman are effexor withdrawal symptoms harder than paxil? i do feel like effexor is the devil because i cant get off it if i want to have children i have to be effexor clean for ONE YEAR and i cant even get off it for one day i see so many people talk about paxil is it worse than effexor have you tried both? because im on 300mg and still not happy apart from withdrawals paxil seems to be making people's lives better whilst theyre on them?
@BellaMissAlix - Well effexor is an SNRI so I would think that withdrawl would be harder because of both (serotonin & norepinephrine) as were paxil is an SSRI just (serotonin). If your on 300 effex. not still don't feel good I'd talk with your doctor. The problem with effex. is that you can't adjust either compond. You might need more or less of either medication (prob. need more serotonin). Paxil works for me it may work for you we're all different.
i was on it for 4 months, 40 mg a day.. I stopped cold turkey.. Been off if for 8 days now... So far the withdrawals are not that bad.. I can handle it.. So far..
@LShiznit Hi,, it's been now alil over 2 weeks.. I am pretty good.. I feel nothing whatsoever now.. this might seem weird to some, but what really helped me ALOT was music... I would get abit emotional but not that much, hardly any headaches.. i just kept telling myself that i am strong and nothing would control me... was very positive.. .. when i was around the first week and weaned off cold turkey, i always had some paxil with me, just in case i started to feel like i coudnt
@Lshisnit i was lucky enough. i didnt have to take any.. Before i stopped, i told all my friends and family. Just in case i did start to feel really bad.. i guess i was one of the lucky ones.. I really do hope, you beat this.. Good luck my friend.. ;)
If you know your going to run out of pills and can't get to a doctor go to a clinic or need be emergency you just can't stop any kind of mess. Anti anxiety or anti depressants you hav to wean yourself off slowly. And there is nothing wrong with taking them!
@yodafannie yeah, recently found out going to the emergency room would have helped.. i just didnt know the consequences.. also the fact that this all happened around the time when everyhthing was shut down for Christmas.. i now make sure i have enough medicine between December 20th till the 5th of January.
I know exactly how you felt. I was prescribed Paxil 20mg during my teens years and had to abruptly stop taking them because my mom lost her insurance coverage. I went through 3 days of HELL; mind zaps, body shocks, vertigo, nausea - you name it. Luckily for me my mother at the time was working as an administrator at a doctor's office, so she was able bring home Paxil sample pack which I used to taper myself from this horrid, HORRID drug.
Yes, I know exactly how you feel. I get it from others like lexapro and zoloft. The idea is to let your doctor know what he did to you. Also, if you get stuck with few pills again, instantly cut down to about a quarter to stretch out your dose as long as possible. What was your dosage initially, if I may ask.
paxil withdrawl is hell man. ive been off of it for 3-4 weeks (cant even remember exact dates) if you can make it past 2 weeks your home free. the first 2-3 days are the WORSt you seriously want to kill someone (rage) but you might encounter problems that persists beyond that such as kidney infections (etc).if your taking it for SAD its hell to cme off. eye twitches muscles twitches etc damn. taking benzo's to steep me down. and strange dreams, very very strange dreams..
@roppasmoka i agree.. on day three is when my withdrawal symptoms kicked in.. the withdrawal on this medicine is tricky and confusing to many since the symptoms can start on the first day without it or the third of fourth day.. there was an old comment on here about my being an asshole because of my rage incident, but i guess they have no idea how it feels.. hell im not like that.. nobody is! I would like them to be in my shoes that day and feel it for themselves.. actually i wouldnt wish that.
hi there, I've beeni nto paxil twice, first... for two years, then I had a year off paxil and then I had to take it again for 1 year and a half, now i've been off paxil for about 3 months, but I've been having symptons like... my vision going black for a split second (happens like 10 to 20 times a day) and lots of cramps in my legs (under my knee) .. is this due to paxil?
@Elfavzla not 100% sure, i have known people that took it way longer than me and you, with no side effects.. i do know some sight problems like flickering and what i call left over mild brain zaps occur well after a month or two when you stop paxil. If there is another medication your taking then take that also into consideration or one that you did take lately.
@masterpsychosis brain zaps (that sharp shooting pain in the head).. some people say they experience those sensations which are mild way after they stoppped paxil months later..not a constant feeling, just here and there.. i hhad similar feelings, like when i turned my head to fast for example..
I have been on paxil for 4 months 20mg a day and i decided to stop them. How long do u think the side effects will last in my case?(2-3 weeks?) i dont think i ve been on paxil for too long .
@Eleu8eria888 you will regret that move, but on the third day thats when all the mania, shivers, brain zaps that blind you, kick in.. should clear out in 8-9 days..(the bad part).. and a month for it to completely feel better, and not forgetting this experience will last you the remainder of your life. I suggest if you work, not to during this.. i just dont recommend it.
@Eleu8eria888 i was on it the same amount of time you were on by the way.. i know 3-4 months doesnt sound like its gonna do something, but thats why i call it and others the devil in the pill. On my second day off the paxil i was hyper and super happy, the third day through the 9-10th day was hell on earth. no joke..
@masterpsychosis Well i m on the 2nd day off the pill now and i expect the worst in the next days :) The main problem i had that i decided to cut them was low sex drive and my doctor said its because of paxil. I guess that will be fine when the torture ends.In most sites i read that it will take a three to six weeks to be back to my pre-Paxil self.
@Eleu8eria888 well, it well more than likely be intense.. like i said between day two and three it was like day and night.. the zaps will bring you down to your knees if your walking.. the vertigo problem lingers so dont turn too fast.. that made my blood curdle just feeling that.. if i couldve done it all over again i would have had some anti-psychotics like zypexia well into my system when stopping this drug. your temper will be 20x worse than ever.not even xanax could touch this withdrawal.
i forgot to order new one's, and now i am out for like 1,5 day.... Its hell, and i am fukking deprssed. I havent cryed in months, and now i cry like a baby...
@AddictMary are you serious.. after day two its going to be hell on earth.. call the Dr. and tell them.. i know its the weekend or better yet talk to your pharmacist... these are things i wish i knew.. i thought when you run out and forget to order that was that.. and thats not the case.. this is serious.. i would be calling after you get this comment asap!
PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO DISCONTINUE PAXIL USAGE: I am a 31 year old male and this is my fourth bout on the drug paxil.....I have went 'cold turkey' successfully each time but experienced the same hellish symptoms...HOWEVER...I quit taking paxil 2 weeks ago and haven't had withdrawal symptoms...I feel that either one/or a combination of the following natural supplements I'm taking is the reason: 5HTP, suntheanine (l-theanine) and high dose EPA fish oil.....no zaps or headach
I stopped using it for 2 weeks now but i feel tired and dizzy all the time now, i didn't quit cold turkey, i build it off from 40mg. to 0.5mg. over a 2 year period, but now i'm completely off it i feel wasted, also my emotions came back, when i read sad stories or see or hear sad things i can actually start to cry, this isn't me, i never had this, unless with the Lion King when i was a kid :)
I hope this goes away, can anyone tell me how long this can last?
@DaZeDmerlin wow, this sounds like me lol.. im currently on Lexapro and my emotions are well no emotions.. people at work have to remind me that whatever i hear that is suppose to be sad is "Sad".. i stopped it when i didnt need it with no side effects exxept some minor little headaches that tylenol took care of..but i understand what your describing.
@masterpsychosis Yea well, that's how psychiatrists work nowadays, they don't help people with their problems, they give them pills to remove all of their emotions and touch with reality, numb them down, so they don't have to complain about feeling down, cause they're like zombies. Now that i've quit i can start working on the problems i might have left, all is better then Seroxat.
@DaZeDmerlin hi i was on cipralex(SSRIs) for 6 weeks and then abandoned them because of very scary side effects, that was one month ago and i still have severe headache, brain fits or zaps involentary muscle twiching, balance and co-ordination problems and memory fatigue ie i set the grill on fire 3 times last week.slowly things are improving for me now... so hang in there...
@MICKEYISLOWD Yea, i still can't believe how much side effects and how addictive these drugs have and are.
Glad to get rid of it, i'm feeling better i guess, my old problems aren't completely gone i noticed, but i feel a million times better then i used to, and now it's up to me to work about it, actually do something about it, instead of teking a very weak and easy way out.Taking pills will stop every emotion in you, it's normal that you feel better, your'e numbed down.
@joker777x Look, Galaxo Smith Klein will never pay for it's sins, the corruption is too big and they have too much money, those combined equals immunity.Look at what the Bush FDA did for them, you can bet your ass nothing will stop them, unless the people themselves boycott them, but ofcourse the people are in a vulnerable position and doctors and shrinks recommend Seroxat worldwide, so.... Nothing will change, that's how this world goes, money is god.
I totally understand where you're coming from... I'm currently getting off Paxil.. Tried to stop on my own, and the withdrawal was literally HELL. I was constantly dizzy, had headaches, my whole head and body would get the feeling like your foot fell asleep... I also would have crazy mood swings. I'm getting off now because I've gained about 30 pounds in only a few months. I hated this drug and wished I would've looked into it more before I got on it... I hate myself for ever taking this drug
@PDustinXoxo I've been through the same, Dustin. It takes some time for our brains to heal from it. If you needed help, there's this forum where people help a lot in the tapering process. It's Surviving Antidepressants. Take care!
If you made this video He is right on the Head about this medicine Adonis medicine for 3 months And I'm trying to get off up Everything he says about the side affects is so true I hate this drug

@finchy421 counter act it by using zyprexia from your doc if i where you like now or tomorrow.. should last about 4 more days for it to completely wear off your body.
Paxil is nuts the withdrawl is the worst shit in the world. i been taking paxil for 3 months and had to go a weekend without it. Holy fucking shit the withdrawl is INSANE From paxil. worse than Heroin withdrawl. its like a combination of the physical symptoms of heroin withdrawl and the pychological mind fuck from benzo withdrawl. CAREFULL WHEN STOPPING THIS DRUG CAUTION be warned.
I need everyone out there to know that I am not here to talk about my experiences, but you should know that the person who put up this video is definitely telling the truth. There is no exaggeration. This is powerful stuff that doctors just do not know at all enough to prescribe. When people say to wean off of it under doctor's supervision, that does not do a thing to help. This is my testimonial that there are awful things that cannot be explained regarding Paxil and other SSRIs.
I started on Wellbutrin, next to Celexa, then it was Effexor, Then from there is was Cymbalta. When I first started on anti-depressants they felt like just what I needed. I felt good, I laughed a lot, I always was in a positive optimistic mood. Believe it or not it all started with just one pill Wellbutrin which was administered just after my coming clean off of street drugs and alcohol addiction. Currently I am on: hydroxiyzine, trazodone, clontidine, and Cymbalta. I feel like killing myself. ☹
Anyone considering taking this stuff: BEWARE. It's potent, potent stuff.
I just quit this stuff after only 2 days. Worst experience of my life ever. More panic attacks on it than off - I was totally freaking out, twitching and writhing, having HORRIBLE hallucination-like dreams, totally afraid I was going to do something I wouldn't normally do. I honestly thought I was going mad.
Two days.
These doctors don't say shit about this stuff other than how great it is. Try to avoid it.
Thank you for posting this, I had a similar experience where I took paxil for 30 days and decided to discontinue use, I had planned to come off it slowly (as I read this is appropriate) My doc was like 'don't worry you only took it 30 days'. What followed was several days of horrible physical withdrawal, it was like an extremely bad case of flu...thankfully I didn't have any of the mood swings you described.
Wow. I can see myself in the way you were speaking and acting in this video. were you dealing with panic at the time? Also, right now I am somewhere in my second week coming off and holy crap! I have bad anger sometimes but for some reason I am a huge time bomb just waiting. I just seem to hate everything now. And what's worse is I have no remorseful feelings about anything. This shit sucks sooooo bad! I see this was done in 08, How are you feeling now?
@95concours well for me personally, since its now 2011 and that all took place back in 2008 of December, i feel fine, but the experience still feels like it happened yesterday unfortunantly. I was dealing with panics that happened during the night which made me falling asleep more sleep. Somehow DR. dumbass thought paxil prior to bedtime would help!? Anyway do like i do and google up your medicine, web md . com, whatever it takes to learn about it. I hope people take these comments seriously.
Benzodiazapines are way better then these stupid SSRI anti-depression drugs. But the faggot tight ass doctors won't gives you anything that works really well because their afraid you will get "addicted" But hell it's my life it's not there damn buisiness if I get addicted.
@christest15 Why? Last I checked it was a free country, I can say what I please, as can you. Sop being a faggot little pussy and getting so offended. It's people like you who are killing the freedom of speech in this country. Nasty liberal fag.
Thanks for the heads up dude - I was prescribed this just the other day but haven't got round to collecting it yet. I'm having second thoughts now ...
@rxs1967 your welcome, just want you to know i had second thoughts too when i watched other "warning vids" and still took that crap..its been like over three years i think, and it still awful reminder till this day! if you must ( i recommend lexapro-safer wise) take paxil, get off of it slooowly..
Everyones experience with Paxil/Paroxetine is different but it is not a bad medication. Like all SSRIs dose should be reduced very very gradually - eg by 1 half a tablet each week. This worked for me reducing from 20mg to 10mg. I've had ups and downs and am now on Paxil for life and it works for me. I tollerate it well and have no side effects, apart from overdoing alcohol which can make the symptoms of anxiety worse for a few days.
Antidepressant medications are dangerous I beat up and almost killed my girlfriend when I took Paxil plus i destroyed the whole appartment costing me 50000$!!
Today I use only cannabis "Indica" and alcohol in small doses!
the doctors that perscribe that damned chemical absolutey will NOT be accountable to anyone whatsoever for your pain and damages that come from that stuff. They DO NOT CARE for you once you are damaged by its chemical consequences. They don't care!!!!!!!! They will NOT be responsible to anyone whatsoever. They dont care what happens.
I wonder about these anti-depressants...im on subs and need them for the time being...I was an oc addict...one of the real bad ones! and suboxone really saved me. I take 4mg every other day...BUT? My doctor has really been pushing me to get on these anti-depressants(for my anxiety) but I refuse...they scare me more then opiates.
Thank you for sharing your story. I have taken my first dose and now I am scared out of my mind to continue. It doesn't seem worth it to me. I feel like something isn't right. I cannot form thoughts and my short term memory has already been affected. There is a weird sensation in my brain that is hard to describe. I don't know what to do.
@ninespiralx well whatever you do don't stop it cold turkey. Just start tapering off very slow. Take half a pill for a while, you might want to ask you doctor for something else to assist you so you WILL NOT go crazy taking zyprexia while coming off paxil. Please be careful. This ruined my entire xmas 3 years ago.
yeah but i think im fucked up mentaly anyways. i was taking lorazapran and id take that whenever i felt bad anxiety id tke one and the bottle lasted me over a year im probably goona ask for that but i know i need something to help with my anxiety. thanks for making this vid by the way
@Thedanfrom1985 well I was warned and didn't listen. The video only explained 40% of what all happened. It was that bad. I would go back to the doctor and ask for something safer like lexapro. Its expensie but you can ask for samples. If you have insurance then it should be no biggie. Take it this way, I would rather have diarrhea for five days straight then to ever feel those withdrawals ever again! Its that bad! If you decide to ask for another medicine. Mirtazapine, lexapro so many better .
@Thedanfrom1985 and your sister is right. Been two years since that shit and I swear it still feels like it screwed me up mentally. If it seems like a inconvenience going back to ask for another medicine due to concerns it is 100% worth it.
I QUIT TAKING PAXIL IT WAS GETTING ME FAT BECAUSE IS SCIENTIFICLY PROVEN THAT IT MAKES YOU GAIN WEIGHT!! IT MADE ME FEEL GOOD THOUGH LIKE A ZOMBIE NOT GIVING A FUCK LOL WITHDRAW SYMPTOMS SUCK THOUGH BRAIN ZAPS UGHH WELL NOW IM ON ATIVAN BEST DRUG EVER LIKE BEING DRUNK BUT COMPLETELY SOBER
i get extreme light headedness if i am off of it for 3 days - even after 2 days - following that i get very "in the dumps" its like i have no interest in anything - and all i want to do is curl up and go to sleep
@RonaldBarone the third day through the seventh day it was hell for me.. good luck, i dont recommend driving too much.. on the ninth day it was over.. with some electric zaps going through my brain of course, but its all over and i dont want to take that ever again!! P.S. stay away from anyone that will tick you off.
@masterpsychosis hahahahah I just had a fight with my boss... but she is a real bitch... everybody hates her, and was the first time I putted her on her place... go Paxil hahahahaha
thanks for all the info... my best wishes to you ;-)
@RonaldBarone take it slow man, 5mg a month or you won't be successful. The withdraw symptoms will be so bad you'll give in. This is coming from a guy who was
Yes ,this is the devil in disguise .I am off this shit 10 days now ,on the second day I became very very violent and I hurt someone physically that I really love but she forgave me thank God.Now I am feeling way better only side effects are a little dizziness and electrical zaps on my tongue.A word of advice stay away from this stuff ...You have been warned ....
Fucking Loose whore!!!! Dammit....my doc prescribed me this..i haven't taken them yet...i just want some fucking relief from my anxiety..i can't get enough air...wtf?
I took 1 lexapro a few days ago for the 1st time before I went to sleep, woke up in the middle of the night with cold sweats and puked at the side of my bed. The next day I felt as if took a shrooms the previous day, very wierd feeling...I'm chill now but wow wtf is that shit? seriously....wtf. Fuck that shit.....all I have to say.
I suffered from major deppresion for many years. after 20 years of prozac use it did not work for me anymore. all others anti deppresants did not work anymore. paxil does work in thirty percent of the patients. paxil will increase your risk of sucide. paxil will have a very harsh withdrawal symptoms . A anti deppresant will give your mind cohesion in the thought process. paxil gives you a more of a anxiety high with a buffer.
Oh God I feel your pain! I was on Paxil for 3 years and it nearly killed me! I started having withdrawal symptoms when I was still on the medication so they had to up my dose! Those electric shock sensations are the worst! Going off it slow was killing me so bad after 3 months that I just quit it cold turkey against my doctor's advice. I wanted it completely out of my system. I just remember lying on the floor crying and feeling like I was gonna die, bad, bad memories:( But I did it!
I have many lables..and i was at my end of the rope.. over the past 2 years i had taken 30 meds.. some worked ok.. some not.. 3 months ago i was given paxil.. and i love it.. Its made me feel ok.. im not happy im not sad.. i am ok..the best meds IMO for sleeping is trazadone.. there are no side effects.. and you dont feel grogery the next day.. I hope your doing ok..
Dammit! I took my first pill today and now I'm hearing all these horror stories! Wishing I had read up on it before I bought the stuff or took any of it. I don't plan on taking any more. I'm hoping withdrawal won't be so bad for me since I only took it once...
And sorry if this is creepy or out of line coming from a stranger, but I have to tell you that I find you very attractive. Your talking isn't weird, it's cute! ;-)
@masterpsychosis paxil takes about 2 weeks or more to start working. So no withdrawal symptoms till then. I stop cold turkey after 2 yrs and Oh boy did i suffer. My friends were scared of me, they wont argue with me about anything just that scared. holes in apartment walls, ripped of doors, broken everything, violent in everything. Man this drug is one evil thing. I though xanax withdrawal was hell... paxil is whole another level
paxil and klonopin is a terrible combination...i have PTSD and stopped taking the cocktail just because I ran out of refills. I feel your pain man, my nerves feel like they are spun. avoid these drugs like the plague!!
Did you came to meet because he's specifically for giving medication or you just ask it?? Even on the other psychiatrist you mentioned in the comments. There seems to be 2 you've consulted. What medications did you took other than that.
@robotsky8 during this time when the video was shot a family doctor told me paxil would help sleep, before that he gave me ambien cr, and lunesta which lunesta was awful!, This video was shot right before i was going to see a psychiatrist and when i filmed this i had no idea i was going to be referred to one. Im fine now and sleep fine. The family doctor from what i heard is crazy anyway.
My experience with Paxil is that it is "addicting". Even attempts to slowly wean myself off of it gave me symptoms of withdrawal. Violent, rapid mood swings, crying fits, anger, etc. Very unpleasant feelings. I always ended up going back to Paxil to ease these symptoms, but then I had to deal with its side effects such as weight gain, though it did ease my chronic depression. But now I'm going to go for the gold, get off this stuff for good, and deal with any depression some other way.
I expirence the same thing Even the rage!!! when off of it. It gave me my life back but I think im ever so addicted now. when I do decide to go cold turkey I think I will have myself admitted first. less I destroy all that is around me. good luck and I hope we all get off of it safely.
Well im glad i helped.. it took some guts to post this ( it really, really did) but i felt like i had to do it and let people know what WILL happen if you stop these kind of medications all of a sudden! I will never forget the withdrawal experience. I suffered so bad i could of literally paid 5,000 dollars to stop it in cold hard cash money!
July 2001 to July 2002 I took paxil (paroxetine); after 3months severe tension headaches started which I found out later calling distress lines pharmacy help lines the drug was toxic to me; it left me with malignant neoplasms brain per Baycrest Hospital Toronto; Hypothyroidism per Toronto Western.
Aunt Marion, Sister Debbie a buddy John Doran same head ache took further mood stablizers &/or antypical antipsychotics they are dead GSK or Ontario or Canada did nothing to help.
i guess so, he specializes in adolescent mostly though.. i guess i fall in that category lol. seriously he is amazing compared to this crappy family doctor that gave me paxil.
how many milligrams where you on, I started taking it a few weeks ago and want to know how I will be affected. If you do not know then I still appreciate you posting this video.
i just took 10 milligrams and it took about three weeks for it to kick in to full effect. just be careful and dont make the mistake i did by stopping it cold turkey. I took it for 2 and half months or so.. it helped me with anxiety and depression, able to go out and do things, helped me alot with having social anxiety like when going out to the store etc..
I'm back to just give people some help getting off paxil. I did see a psychiatrist while in the hospital. I don't know if that was worth it. He told me to take 1000 i.u. of vitamin E to stop the hot flashes, and it does work. That is the only over the counter I take. I have had 5 surgeries, one that was terrible, and the hospital forgot to give me morphine. That was fun! Broke both feet, and this withdrawal from paxil has been the worst yet. I even had food poisoning in Jan. this year. Take E
Then don't withdraw. What anxiety are you suffering. Can you control the withdrawal, play xbox360 or stuff to focus externally. The whole thing is mental how could you describe it as hell?
mental? i wish that all it was, it was more than that, there was more to it not mentioned on the video, i did play video games to help me.. vertigo played a huge rule to which i could not control whatsoever. I didnt know what the side effects where until i was in withdrawal. im off this crap now thank god. its all in the past.
4 dollars got me 30 capsules. I was suffering from insomnia, and for some reason the doctor thought this would help for some reason. I dont see him now, i see a psychiatrist and he helped me right away with what i needed. Paxil was given to me from a family doctor.
I'm here again. I went off Paxil after the manufacturing company got pulled off pharmacy lists. The new brand made me very sick, like I had a terrible flu. That is why I got off Paxil. My family told me that I had not been myself for 10 or more years, while on paxil. I'm sure a lot of people are going to feel the difference soon. Check you label on your paxil to see if a different company is making it. Benedryl will help with sleeping, and zapping. Feels good to be able to cry again, plus other.
I began Paxil about 10 to 12 yrs. ago. I have tried to get off of it 4 times. I ended up in the hospital 1 time, charged 8,000. for 12 hrs. of observing me. They didn't even do that. All the stories are true. Brain, fingers, tongue, neck, body get zapped. Nightmares are unbelievable. I went from a 6 to a 18 in clothes. Playing a video is not going to fix this. I am going to make it this time. But, I will be playing my concert grand harp instead of xbox sweetie. Anger, crying will be first sign.
I agree, I was on this shit for years and am on day 5 of quitting, I know I will get my life back. I try to excersise and drink alot of water...It is hell...this drug is evil...we all must percevere.
draz, although i do agree with you to an extent that some psych. drugs can be harmful to certain people, there are many indiv. out there that can't normally function without the aid of them. take someone with a disorder like schizophrenia for instance, for do you really think that they should stop taking their meds that are allowing them to have a better qual. of life, or invest their time in something that isn't backed by any scientific evid. like perhaps scientology? anyone watch south park:)
i was not informed of a single side effect, risks, dangers, method of diagnosis, how the drugs work or anything from the psychiatrists who pumped me full of these brain/nerve damaging drugs. Every time i was suffering TREMENDOUS side effects i was brainwashed and told it was my so called "underlying chemical imbalance disease". This went on for years with me not knowing it was the drug causing all my problems and bad symptoms. I was systematically brainwashed and tortured for many years.
I was not informed about NOTHING when this was given to me, now i ask everything i think of when i get something prescribed because i would hate to experience something like that again, it was horrible!
I understand your pain and frustration with psychiatrists. You are right. I was not informed of anything either like 99.9% of people. I hope you sued the psychiatrist or doctor who prescribed these violent horrific mind altering drugs to you. We need to band together and STOP PSYCHIATRY before they destroy and kill more people!.
Psychiatric drugs are 1000X WORSE than street drugs. Psychiatric drugs have 1000X WORSE withdrawals than street drugs. Psychiatric drugs cause 1000X worse irreversible Neurological and Mental damage than street drugs. PSYCHIATRY/PSYCHIATRISTS is the PROBLEM. They need to be ELIMINATED. LEGAL drug dealers are what PSYCHIATRISTS ARE. Blame your GOVERNMENTS for allowing THIS to HAPPEN. STOP PSYCHIATRY!!!!.
Dude, I've totally been there with Paxil and now I'm actually back on it after trying wellbutrin for depression. The paxil side effects are different. I've woken up with complete disorientation not knowing left from right, trying to remember the simplest things and my vision like I was looking at the room through a kaliedoscope. It's the wierdest drug.
and "ass kicking".. you kidding me.. i was 28 years old when that happened and never in my whole entire life had i ever had a temper. Suddenly stopping this med, can change that and according to alot of other videos from other people i seen similar results. It was my fault that i stopped it suddenly, but at that time i had no experience or knowledge from anybody on what could happen.. thats why i made the video.
Its not your fault you stopped it suddenly. Its the psychiatrists fault for prescribing it to you when you didn't know the risks and dangers associated with these deadly drugs. Most people are NEVER EVER told of the Antidepressants side effects, risks, dangers, etc. The Psychiatrist is responsible for the patient's health and safety. NOT YOU. You went for help, they betrayed you like they betrayed everyone. You're not the only person who's been burned by a pseudoscience psychiatrist. SUE HIM.
If YOU took these drugs like he did and had the horrendous withdrawal and side effects like he and i did, YOU would have a bad temper as well!. USE your head you ignorant fucking MORON. These drugs change people's minds and thinking. Try withdrawing from an SSRI Antidepressant after a few months or years of taking it and see how YOU FEEL ASSHOLE!.

well people actually paxil doesnt cause you to do what this guy did. this guy goes by the name masterpsychosis, those are completley different from withdrawls. he went through a manic episode lol.

@masterpsychosis I can sit here and bash Paxil but it has helped me, it does have it setbacks but whats the other option, get atmitted to the psycward, kill someone or kill myself. Now I'm not saying I'm any of these catagories but it starts some where, You're to deppressed or to angry and it builds up until boom and theres's no going back after boom.
edmora80 1 month ago

INFJman 1 month ago
@INFJman Well im glad it didnt hit you hard.. i couldnt imagine effexor.. then again brain chemistry is unique in all of us.. evidently it was bad enough i had to sit and make this 10 minute video..from what i still remember i would give a months pay not to feel that again lol..
masterpsychosis 1 month ago 2
@INFJman are effexor withdrawal symptoms harder than paxil? i do feel like effexor is the devil because i cant get off it if i want to have children i have to be effexor clean for ONE YEAR and i cant even get off it for one day i see so many people talk about paxil is it worse than effexor have you tried both? because im on 300mg and still not happy apart from withdrawals paxil seems to be making people's lives better whilst theyre on them?
BellaMissAlix 1 month ago
@BellaMissAlix - Well effexor is an SNRI so I would think that withdrawl would be harder because of both (serotonin & norepinephrine) as were paxil is an SSRI just (serotonin). If your on 300 effex. not still don't feel good I'd talk with your doctor. The problem with effex. is that you can't adjust either compond. You might need more or less of either medication (prob. need more serotonin). Paxil works for me it may work for you we're all different.

@INFJman 10 years on Paxil, you must be on your death bed.

Luckily for me my mother at the time was working as an administrator at a doctor's office, so she was able bring home Paxil sample pack which I used to taper myself from this horrid, HORRID drug.
mannysaurus19 4 months ago
@mannysaurus19 you where lucky indeed.. cuz it would have lasted another 4-6 days of hell if your mom didnt work at the Dr office.. lucky indeed..
masterpsychosis 4 months ago
Yes, I know exactly how you feel. I get it from others like lexapro and zoloft. The idea is to let your doctor know what he did to you. Also, if you get stuck with few pills again, instantly cut down to about a quarter to stretch out your dose as long as possible. What was your dosage initially, if I may ask.

paxil withdrawl is hell man. ive been off of it for 3-4 weeks (cant even remember exact dates) if you can make it past 2 weeks your home free. the first 2-3 days are the WORSt you seriously want to kill someone (rage) but you might encounter problems that persists beyond that such as kidney infections (etc).if your taking it for SAD its hell to cme off. eye twitches muscles twitches etc damn. taking benzo's to steep me down. and strange dreams, very very strange dreams..
roppasmoka 4 months ago

Elfavzla 5 months ago
@Elfavzla not 100% sure, i have known people that took it way longer than me and you, with no side effects.. i do know some sight problems like flickering and what i call left over mild brain zaps occur well after a month or two when you stop paxil. If there is another medication your taking then take that also into consideration or one that you did take lately.
masterpsychosis 5 months ago
@masterpsychosis Thanks for ur answer, but.. what do u mean by " left over mild brain zaps"??
Elfavzla 5 months ago
@masterpsychosis brain zaps (that sharp shooting pain in the head).. some people say they experience those sensations which are mild way after they stoppped paxil months later..not a constant feeling, just here and there.. i hhad similar feelings, like when i turned my head to fast for example..

Paxil withdrawal is horrible I'm on day 4 I would recommend xanax for the withdrawal
MrSkippingteep 5 months ago
I have been on paxil for 4 months 20mg a day and i decided to stop them. How long do u think the side effects will last in my case?(2-3 weeks?) i dont think i ve been on paxil for too long .
Eleu8eria888 6 months ago
@Eleu8eria888 you will regret that move, but on the third day thats when all the mania, shivers, brain zaps that blind you, kick in.. should clear out in 8-9 days..(the bad part).. and a month for it to completely feel better, and not forgetting this experience will last you the remainder of your life. I suggest if you work, not to during this.. i just dont recommend it.
masterpsychosis 6 months ago
@Eleu8eria888 i was on it the same amount of time you were on by the way.. i know 3-4 months doesnt sound like its gonna do something, but thats why i call it and others the devil in the pill. On my second day off the paxil i was hyper and super happy, the third day through the 9-10th day was hell on earth. no joke..
masterpsychosis 6 months ago
@masterpsychosis Well i m on the 2nd day off the pill now and i expect the worst in the next days :) The main problem i had that i decided to cut them was low sex drive and my doctor said its because of paxil. I guess that will be fine when the torture ends.In most sites i read that it will take a three to six weeks to be back to my pre-Paxil self.
Eleu8eria888 6 months ago
@Eleu8eria888 well, it well more than likely be intense.. like i said between day two and three it was like day and night.. the zaps will bring you down to your knees if your walking.. the vertigo problem lingers so dont turn too fast.. that made my blood curdle just feeling that.. if i couldve done it all over again i would have had some anti-psychotics like zypexia well into my system when stopping this drug. your temper will be 20x worse than ever.not even xanax could touch this withdrawal.

@DaZeDmerlin wow, this sounds like me lol.. im currently on Lexapro and my emotions are well no emotions.. people at work have to remind me that whatever i hear that is suppose to be sad is "Sad".. i stopped it when i didnt need it with no side effects exxept some minor little headaches that tylenol took care of..but i understand what your describing.
masterpsychosis 7 months ago
@masterpsychosis Yea well, that's how psychiatrists work nowadays, they don't help people with their problems, they give them pills to remove all of their emotions and touch with reality, numb them down, so they don't have to complain about feeling down, cause they're like zombies. Now that i've quit i can start working on the problems i might have left, all is better then Seroxat.
DaZeDmerlin 7 months ago
@DaZeDmerlin hi i was on cipralex(SSRIs) for 6 weeks and then abandoned them because of very scary side effects, that was one month ago and i still have severe headache, brain fits or zaps involentary muscle twiching, balance and co-ordination problems and memory fatigue ie i set the grill on fire 3 times last week.slowly things are improving for me now... so hang in there...
MICKEYISLOWD 6 months ago

Try to avoid it.
fodao42 11 months ago
Thank you for posting this, I had a similar experience where I took paxil for 30 days and decided to discontinue use, I had planned to come off it slowly (as I read this is appropriate) My doc was like 'don't worry you only took it 30 days'. What followed was several days of horrible physical withdrawal, it was like an extremely bad case of flu...thankfully I didn't have any of the mood swings you described.

Wow. I can see myself in the way you were speaking and acting in this video. were you dealing with panic at the time? Also, right now I am somewhere in my second week coming off and holy crap! I tollerate it well and have no side effects, apart from overdoing alcohol which can make the symptoms of anxiety worse for a few days.

thanks for all the info... my best wishes to you ;-)

@RonaldBarone take it slow man, 5mg a month or you won't be successful. The withdraw symptoms will be so bad you'll give in. This is coming from a guy who was
on a 20 norco/vicodin a day habit. Best Wishes

Paxil helps me tremendously! Blows my depression away, but leaves much to be desired in anxiety relief.
Globodyne 1 year ago
um.....really? I've been on paxil for a very long time. I go days sometimes without taking it and (Thank God) I've never had a bad reaction to it.

Sure, sudden withdrawal of Paxil is horrible, but if you gradually reduce the dosage, you will be fine.
Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience, but Paxil is very helpful to many people.

Did you came to meet because he's specifically for giving medication or you just ask it?? Even on the other psychiatrist you mentioned in the comments. There seems to be 2 you've consulted. What medications did you took other than that.
robotsky8 1 year ago
@robotsky8 during this time when the video was shot a family doctor told me paxil would help sleep, before that he gave me ambien cr, and lunesta which lunesta was awful!, This video was shot right before i was going to see a psychiatrist and when i filmed this i had no idea i was going to be referred to one. Im fine now and sleep fine. The family doctor from what i heard is crazy anyway.
masterpsychosis 1 year ago
@masterpsychosis whot?! The title here says paxil. How can you talk the withdrawal paxil when you haven't took it when this film was shot..
robotsky8 1 year ago
@robotsky8 oh boy I give up. Just review my videos about paxil withdrawal and go from there.
masterpsychosis 1 year ago
@masterpsychosis What is this term, "referred to". Is that a psychoteraphy clinic
robotsky8 1 year ago

Aunt Marion, Sister Debbie a buddy John Doran same head ache took further mood stablizers &/or antypical antipsychotics they are dead GSK or Ontario or Canada did nothing to help.

how many milligrams where you on, I started taking it a few weeks ago and want to know how I will be affected. If you do not know then I still appreciate you posting this video.
Mike9042 1 year ago
i just took 10 milligrams and it took about three weeks for it to kick in to full effect. just be careful and dont make the mistake i did by stopping it cold turkey. I took it for 2 and half months or so.. it helped me with anxiety and depression, able to go out and do things, helped me alot with having social anxiety like when going out to the store etc..
masterpsychosis 1 year ago
The family psychiatrist under near your location?
sukulovstravinzky 1 year ago

The whole thing is mental how could you describe it as hell?
sukulovstravinzky 1 year ago
mental? i wish that all it was, it was more than that, there was more to it not mentioned on the video, i did play video games to help me.. vertigo played a huge rule to which i could not control whatsoever. I didnt know what the side effects where until i was in withdrawal. im off this crap now thank god. its all in the past.

What are you suffering before this illness? How many capsules is 4 dollars?
sukulovstravinzky 1 year ago
4 dollars got me 30 capsules. I was suffering from insomnia, and for some reason the doctor thought this would help for some reason. I dont see him now, i see a psychiatrist and he helped me right away with what i needed. Paxil was given to me from a family doctor.
masterpsychosis 1 year ago
WOW CHEAP! How many milligrams is on a single capsule.
sukulovstravinzky 1 year ago
I'm here again. I went off Paxil after the manufacturing company got pulled off pharmacy lists. The new brand made me very sick, like I had a terrible flu. That is why I got off Paxil. My family told me that I had not been myself for 10 or more years, while on paxil. I'm sure a lot of people are going to feel the difference soon. Check you label on your paxil to see if a different company is making it. Benedryl will help with sleeping, and zapping. Feels good to be able to cry again, plus other.
opinionscount1 1 year ago
I began Paxil about 10 to 12 yrs. ago. I have tried to get off of it 4 times. I ended up in the hospital 1 time, charged 8,000. for 12 hrs. of observing me. They didn't even do that. All the stories are true. Brain, fingers, tongue, neck, body get zapped. Nightmares are unbelievable. I went from a 6 to a 18 in clothes. Playing a video is not going to fix this. I am going to make it this time. But, I will be playing my concert grand harp instead of xbox sweetie. Anger, crying will be first sign.

draz, although i do agree with you to an extent that some psych. drugs can be harmful to certain people, there are many indiv. out there that can't normally function without the aid of them. take someone with a disorder like schizophrenia for instance, for do you really think that they should stop taking their meds that are allowing them to have a better qual. of life, or invest their time in something that isn't backed by any scientific evid. like perhaps scientology? anyone watch south park:)

i feel you man. those brain shocks are crazy!!
testament214 2 years ago 2
i was not informed of a single side effect, risks, dangers, method of diagnosis, how the drugs work or anything from the psychiatrists who pumped me full of these brain/nerve damaging drugs. Every time i was suffering TREMENDOUS side effects i was brainwashed and told it was my so called "underlying chemical imbalance disease". This went on for years with me not knowing it was the drug causing all my problems and bad symptoms. I was systematically brainwashed and tortured for many years.
Draziom203 2 years ago
I was not informed about NOTHING when this was given to me, now i ask everything i think of when i get something prescribed because i would hate to experience something like that again, it was horrible!
masterpsychosis 2 years ago
I understand your pain and frustration with psychiatrists. You are right. I was not informed of anything either like 99.9% of people. I hope you sued the psychiatrist or doctor who prescribed these violent horrific mind altering drugs to you. We need to band together and STOP PSYCHIATRY before they destroy and kill more people!.
Draziom203 2 years ago
so you're a scientologist? I see you've substatuted one form of brainwashing for another.
cypsation 2 years ago
i don't believe in the religion of psychiatry like you do.
Draziom203 2 years ago
Draziom203 2 years ago
Dude, I've totally been there with Paxil and now I'm actually back on it after trying wellbutrin for depression. The paxil side effects are different. I've woken up with complete disorientation not knowing left from right, trying to remember the simplest things and my vision like I was looking at the room through a kaliedoscope. It's the wierdest drug.

what an asshole, you need an ass kicking dude. stop blaming your temper on "withdrawl"
bschaf13 2 years ago
and "ass kicking".. you kidding me.. i was 28 years old when that happened and never in my whole entire life had i ever had a temper. Suddenly stopping this med, can change that and according to alot of other videos from other people i seen similar results. It was my fault that i stopped it suddenly, but at that time i had no experience or knowledge from anybody on what could happen.. thats why i made the video.
masterpsychosis 2 years ago
Its not your fault you stopped it suddenly. Its the psychiatrists fault for prescribing it to you when you didn't know the risks and dangers associated with these deadly drugs. Most people are NEVER EVER told of the Antidepressants side effects, risks, dangers, etc. The Psychiatrist is responsible for the patient's health and safety. NOT YOU. You went for help, they betrayed you like they betrayed everyone. You're not the only person who's been burned by a pseudoscience psychiatrist. SUE HIM.
Draziom203 2 years ago
If YOU took these drugs like he did and had the horrendous withdrawal and side effects like he and i did, YOU would have a bad temper as well!. USE your head you ignorant fucking MORON. These drugs change people's minds and thinking. Try withdrawing from an SSRI Antidepressant after a few months or years of taking it and see how YOU FEEL ASSHOLE!.
