75a is pretty soft. These guys are probably using 90a duro or higher. If you have an old skateboard, get your bearings running nice with some cream and get some harder wheels. That's what I did.
what about gloves, bc i duct taped some gardening gloves, and i stop really quick when i slide. the first slide im learning now is putting my hands down in front of the board and going till i stop

I'm sliding on S9 78s and they only just work.
They're good for braking, but not if you want to go into a sustained slide.
New wheels should cost around $60.00 US.
