  • I am downloading this game by recommedation? Do Free 2 play get to experience these boss type battles or fail?

  • @zaerox123 To the best of my knowledge, silver (F2P) players can get into Vibora Bay and Therakiel's Temple. The only worlds that silver players can't access (initially) are the three expansion packs, "Serpent Lantern", "Demonflame", and "Resistance".

A Silver player can pay a one time payment (via the C-Store) to access these expansions.

  • boss use genjutso kk

  • Do I have to be in an SG to do these big boss battles?

  • @JoeKEPRODUCTIONS No, you do not need to belong to an SG to do them. It is very, very strongly recommended you team up with four other people however. Five is the most you can have in a team.

I've been though Therakiel's temple about 30 times, i finished it twice, with this video being one of only two successful attempts. After Therakiel wipes out your party 9 or 10 times, and you have to start over again each time, it gets frustrating. Fee free to contact me in game if you like @shogo7g.

  • @shogo7g I wish I can join your team my hero is freezethorn.

  • @totrice Add me to your friends list and we'll see... :)

  • @totrice ok :)

  • Good show. One of the reasons I quit playing Champions is because I like SUPERHERO culture, yet everytime you turn around, there's something about demons or wizards or devils and gods. And THAT is cool, but TO ME, that seems more befitting of World of Warcraft. I mean, I can fight a Devil, and do missions for a wizard, but I can't foil a bank heist or rescue people from dangerous situations. PLUS everyone wants to be the "Redeemed Super Demon/Devil hellkeeper" character OVER and OVER again.

  • @jerzeyrunnerflash You have a point. You have no idea how big of a let-down Serpent Lantern was. Their bosses being mages and priests.

The next update will also be supernatural based, from what I hear.

I still think Champions truly captures what i'm looking for in a comic book MMO, but they're expanding it in the wrong direction.

I'm planning on sticking with CO since it's the only MMO I know of where PvP isn't a selling point.

  • @shogo7g Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Champs, it was my 1st and pretty much only MMO. I might dabble in it from time to time but they just won't cool their jets with the "supernatural" stuff. And yes, the next update IS supernatural based, I checked when you messaged back and you're right. What I REALLY can't wait for is DC Universe Online, but from what I understand they only have 3 travel powers, Flight, Speed, Acrobatics. But I guess it's still a toss up for now.

  • @shogo7g Honestly, DC Universe is going to be cool and centered around your own original character and all, but Champions is 100% all original in terms of not having to be under that amazing cannon history that is Superman and Batman. I kinda hope that Champions keeps evolving into something bigger. Even the SMALLEST cosmetic things can help a long way, like if they spent more times on cutscenes and got more detailed with the facial customization scheme.

  • @jerzeyrunnerflash hum, i don't know about that.... I actually read LOTS of superhero-comic-books, and no matter, which you choose (even Batman ;) ), has at least one or two "Series" where magic/demons/hell takes an important role^^ i think, CO is the only MMO, which can truly "catch" the feeling of being part of a superhero-comic...

But you do have a point: it sucks, that like 30% of the players want to be "Superdemons" and so on^^

  • @JarHeadJ90 another reason for CO (i just figured it a second afterr posting, lol^^) is the huge possibility of actually creating a char... though many players seem to not have any fantasy, they just "copy" heros-.-'

but if you try, you can myke a char, which is truly "new"^^

  • Nice fight. I like how during phase two the music changes to a more god-like feeling.

I wish more people would do TT though so I could try it and actually finish it. Therakiel's fight looks like alot of fun. :O

  • @Galaxyfanv2 More people don't do it because it's the hardest dungeon/instance in the game. Many people rage-quit, it's that hard to do.

I can understand the rage, I hate playing a game that's harder than my job.

What's really annoying is that when you're defeated, the door to the room locks, so you can't get back in unless your team mates defeat the boss, or everyone is defeated and the boss heals.

If you want, add me to your friends list so I can let you know if I run though it again.

  • @shogo7g Nah, it's alright, I did the run earlier today.

Therakiel was a hard boss, though, especially with the eye-beam holds if your teammates were too far away. Interesting tidbit though, it is possible to do this entire instance with only four people. :D

  • can you get Therakiel's sword's for blade attacks?

  • @ShadePhantomX

Unfortunately no, he doesn't drop his sword, just his wings if memory serves me correctly.
