I just got back from studying abroad in one of the best universities in Mexico and one of my professors could not get a VISA to go to the US to attend conferences and travel. She has been denied a VISA on three separate occasions! This woman has a PHD in literature, studied in Europe, has money and a stable job in Mexico.
