I like the "trippy" visual effect you used in this. That scene is probably the most famous of the movie and certainly scary, but to me the most eeeeeaaaah creepy was when Craig T. Nelson vomits out the "tequila worm" that is Kane. The expression on its face gets me every time. I wanted to vomit. It was great! The most disturbing, however, was when the mom has the visions of Rev. Kane in the sealed-off temple/tomb with all the crying children. I couldn't try to imagine being one of those kids.

there is some debate about this. and also, there are two cemeteries under the freelings house........the one teague left there and the one with kane and his people (buried further belwow) it's possible kane was controlling all the spirits, and when diana rescued carol and and tangina helped "the spirits into the light" (this house is clean supposedly) that only the spirits from the teague cemetery left. kane, aka the beast, obviously staid

There used to be a clip on youtube showing the scene where Henry Kane first comes to the house (not the music video ones like this one, but an actual clip from the movie). Julian Beck was AWESOME as the antagonist in this movie! With his soft spoken southern drawl and gaunt looks he conveys more menace and evil then a whole army of CGI-generated demons. A truly great actor. If he would have lived he could have had a terrific career in horror films!
