Fable I is best mainly because the storyline was actually captivating, and the atmosphere was new to most people. The gameplay in Fable I was somewhat raw, which made it better actually than the polished Fable 2 and 3. The storyline of Fable 2 and 3 is basically a twist on the first one (X wants to destroy the world for Y reason). They need to renovate if they want another game as groundbreaking as Fable I.

@BEforSirius actually it's more like X wants to destroy the world so he can create a new one where he is the absolute leader. It's EXACTLY the same reason for it in all the four games of fable! (Counting in TLC as a game)

If they made a new fable they should add a twist and instead of making you the son/daughter of a hero king they should make you the son/daughter of and outlaw hero who was chased off because a new king is getting rid of heros so no one can oppose him. So you grow up as a poor outlaw with, of course, your faithful dog. Then Theresa contacts you and tells you that you must save the kingdom from the king and you must gain followers and power to do so.

Limitations? Hardly. Compared to Bethesda games maybe, but that's different. Fable 3 was horribly limited and one of the worst games to come out in the past decade. I don't mean in terms of disappointment either, Fable 3 is legitimately one of the worst games I have ever played and I own E.T. for the Gameboy color, I know what a bad game is lol. Fable 2 was great, but not as good as the first. I hope Fable 4 gets back on the right track...

Fable 2 is definitely worth mentioning. Fun sidequests (there is nothing like shooting those annoying gargoyles down to eventually get to treasure), good storyline, a very useful companion (the dog of course), the humor involved, the cool legendary weapons (especially in the Knothole Island DLC), the best graphics out of all the Fable games, and a good atmosphere to top it all off.

@Link91x acually I believe that could happen! after you complete the game and go back to the castle there's a note( I dont want to induce spoilers but I dont know a person who hasnt completed the story) We since that note has a tid bit of forshadowing it... a major group that still is alive since the first game..( and the cause of the first games events) I think its important that they should get rid of them.... I hope I dont sound like an idiot... I have seem to be doing that lately...

I don't think that they should have advanced many years into the future in the sequels to Fable. They should have stayed medieval. I only say that because I'm still in school and sick of hearing about when they shot muskets and drank in modernized pubs.

@Moi5992 yea sadly its true, that whole little magical world that was in fable 1 just isnt in fable 3. plus i hated the weapons in fable 3, there are supposed to be 50 different weapons and i've so far collected 40, an they all suck and looked the same(cause depending on how u play the game the weapons look changes) where as in fable 1 there were pretty awsome legendary weapons.

I have the first like 39 seconds of this song, its in pretty good quality too. What it does is it sends the song as a text and you just save it. When you get there just type Fable if that doesnt work put oakvale make sure you say you want the free ringtones only or they will charge like 2 bucks. if your threw verizon they dont support that service unless they do now

@lordphil01 i got the extended edition which includes DLC and in one level, you go into an anchanted snowglobe where you have to free the village from these shadows.

they never mention it but the village is actually oakvale before it is destroyed. its changed slightly from the first game, it's bigger and stuff, but it's still got the bridge
