  • ....Cage? Holy shit! :D

  • SO THIS IS THE MOVIE THAT RUINED ALL WOMEN EVERYWHERE FROM THE INSIDE OUT?!?!?!?!?! DDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN YOU CAAAAGGGGGGEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good film!

  • Has anyone connected the "R" in Randy and the "J" in Julie?????? Forbidden love. Hmm. Just an observation....

  • Zappa Zappa Zappa Zappa!

  • What's depressing is that after all of his movies, is that Deborah Foreman probably has more dough than Nick.

  • Cage is still looking for jeans to fit his butt, and a place to get his toenails cut!

  • nicholas cage with a multi-colored mohawk??? O.o Even then he's STILL HOT!!!

  • This is probably the only Cage movie I like O.O

  • like this if brody dalle brought you here!

  • @EditorsFan Like this if blahblahblah.

Vote for me. Vote for me. I am so desperate for acceptance.

  • The early 80's were full of these fun silly naive teenage sex romps and the soundtrack was always filled with cool new wave tunes! Best time to be a teenage in IMO and I'm so glad I was one of them back then! I remember Fast Times at Ridgemond High, Last American Virgin, Zapped, then the Molly Ringwald and Patrick Dempsy movies during the mid 80's.

  • 12 people were, like, totally gagged with a spoon.

  • It's funny how they make The Valley seem like it's sooooooooooooooo far away from Hollywood.

  • @LAWoman323213 Back then it sort of was. Remember we were just on the cusp of a teen culture that could afford to drive cars again (the late 1970s oil embargo and recession put a crimp in that).

  • @lavideomania That's interesting. I never thought about that. I was not a teenager until the 1990s.

  • I swear Nicholas Cage has looked like an old man forever!

  • @LAWoman323213 lol You wrote what I was thinking.

  • i still use the term "bufu" sometimes.

  • i wanted to jump his bones so bad after watching this movie. what a babe.

  • Can someone please tell me the exact defention of the word "Valley Girl" ??

  • @TheLaydeeShell it's a California thing :)

'80s affluent San Fernando Valley in California=valley girls.

  • @SuperAde1974 Does it mean, someone is rude, stuck-up? etc. Lol I wanna know what the definition is! :P

  • @TheLaydeeShell from Urban Dictionary, a little modified :)

a girl who spends 99.9% of her waking hours at the mall, and says "totally", "whatever" "oh my god" way too much (and in the early '80s, "gag me with a spoon") ...and a spoiled, idiotic adolescent female from the southern part of California, typically rich and white, whose language is insulting to human intelligence.

Proof that the San Andreas fault needs to hurry up with sinking California back into the Pacific Ocean.

  • haha the san fernando valley nowadays is so fucken ghetto its not even funny, illegals and gangs have pretty much taken 80% of the valley's residences. in just 25 short years it became pure crap.

  • @IMxYOURxDADDY Like...oh my GOD!

  • would someone please post this movie...havent seen this since i was 11....first time I ever saw Nicolas Cage

  • I watch this movie in the 80s it's one of my fav just watch it on encore didn't know it was coming on fliping through the channel line up there it was coming on I told my daughters I watch this movie as a kid they laugh but they enjoyed the movie it was a blast from the past....,,

  • LMAO! I just watched the scene where they're driving down Sunset, WOW, when the years go bye so swiftly you hardly notice the changes, though you know it has, then you see something like this, lol! Just...DAMN...WOW! :D

  • his side of town doesn't look so tough...;-)

  • Oh, also, I really don't like Nicholas Cage nowadays, just in his (very) old roles, such as this. Loved him in this role.

I'm a sucker for punks in love type of movies.

  • I had to watch this, since I'm from "The Valley"

I absolutely adore this movie. Adooooore, but the valley girl stereotype has died, the Los Angeles area is not how it used to be anymore, at all, I wish it was.

I wouldn't be living in the valley though, it would be too expensive/upper class back then.

Oh, to live in the eighties. </3

  • @christeeneey I know you're right... but where can you go to find the "new L.A." nowadays? Seems like all you can do is hang on to the shadow of what once was... but is it lost forever? Or has it moved somewhere else? Sometimes I don't think there will ever be another place quite like the 1980s again...

  • like omg

  • Valley Girls dont exist anymore but some of their traits are still present in todays society, they were most notable in the So Cal area.

  • I'd NEVER thought I'd say this, but Nicholas Cage was adorable in this movie! :)

  • @cultclassicnerd omg i was thinking the same thing=).

  • @codro310 LOL!!! Craziness :D

  • was that Cage?

  • @Zoras88 Yea...lol that's Nicholas Cage in his young years

  • This is my favorite movie. I got the movie from a garage sale when I was 7 and I've been hooked since. Nicholas Cage (Before I realized who he was) Was the cutest thing that that smile of his.

  • Omg, I ADORED this movie!! Great classic 80s movie. It's not filled with a bunch of crap, it's just a simple teen angst movie, but still absolutely wonderful!!

Anyone who loves 80s movies will love this. Nicolas Cage was the best part <3

  • I'll always associate "Melt With You" with this movie. An early VHS favourite.

  • Yes the 80's were great, the music.

  • The man from the black side of town who isn't black ....

  • great film makes u feel the 80s and has anyone noticed that the neding is exactly like the ending of the graduate? its not a fault of the movie i was just wondering.

  • Kind of looks like another version of Grease

  • Elizabeth Daily, so hot and silly...

  • - Hahah , Wow It'zs Like Im Lookinq In A Mirror . I Am Such A Velly Girl , Lol . = )

  • Funny days I was a valley girl. Ha Ha

  • What a movie

  • I lived in the Valley back then--remember the malls, girls, everything in the film basically. There's nothing but Mexicans in Encino now. The SF Valley is poor, dirty, gang infested, and filled with graffiti. I mean, the world as described did actually exist at one time--including all of the beach scenes, hopping parties with white kids etc. But it's nothing like that now. Good lord.

Repoman is also worth watching for the SFV of the early 80s.

  • @roddiero Even Orange County which was all middle to uper middle class in the 1980's and was so much fun is now mostly O.C. Houswife type male/female psycho's or areas that are getting ghetto.

Katella Ave. in Anaeheim during the 80's was really fun.

  • @roddiero Well, times change. Whatcha gonna do?

  • @lavideomania Uh, live in the past? No, I guess I can't do that. Well, maybe once in a while. :)

  • woah that nicolas cage?

  • @supergirlssss yep lol. first movie. very young XD

  • Too bad the Valley is full of greasy Beaners now.

  • i am so jealous of the 80's girl

  • in some weird way nicolas cage is soooo hot in this movie. guess bad boys do atract

    <3 them naughty

  • saw this movie on tv in 1998 when i was 14 years old it was on upn and i saw it a couple of times!

  • OHO bitchin! I sthis in 3D?! No, but your face is.

  • @cfx5000 best line in the movie!! LOL!!!!!

  • hmmi am really bored anyone wanna play and have fun

  • Stacey (the BFF) was much hotter than Julie

  • This movie is awesome because Nicholas cage is surprisingly awesome in it

  • @magily11, when I watched this trailer I was so embarrassed. I love Nic Cage but I thought there was no way I could watch this with a straight face. But I'm watching the movie online right now (I don't believe in pirating but this movie is hard to find. It def won't be at blockbuster or netflicks and they're not gonna be playing it on TV) and omg, Nic Cage is soooo good in it! I'm so glad I checked it out! If anyone else is interested in seeing it, just inbox me. I'll give you the link.

  • @CertainAsTheSun what's ur email?

  • @CertainAsTheSun actually you can find it at pretty much any movie store. even walmart and target. Its a very famous movie.....

  • @slayerrules114, really?? Honestly, I've never heard of it until I saw this trailer on youtube and the only reason I saw it was because I was looking for a song called Valley Girl. I don't think it's as famous as other 80s movies in the sense that even non 80s kids know it, like Breakfast Club.

  • Nicholas cage is epic.

  • Yeah if you're a retard who knows nothing about nothing.

  • Exactly!

  • but stacy, he's hot, you're forgetting, like totally gnarly sex

  • Anyone who has never seen this movie in it's entirety- It's a MUST! Yes it will seem very "dated" now, but it has great acting, great lines, it's campy......A truly underrated classic!

  • Damnit, the 80's were cool, I don't care what anyone says.

  • Yes you are right. Best movies, music, & tv. Bring back the 80's.

WARNING- the dvd has had some music changed. scene where Randy is waiting in the bathroom.

  • i wish i was a teen through the 80's

    fml

  • @DarthCormac just imagine them days high on cocaine, good golly, insanity! not that i know, coz i was -1 when this was made, and if i did coke in 1986 id be a 2year old wif some problems, but just imagine them days!

  • @DarthCormac I'm with you 100%. the best era ever! coolest movies and coolest music!

  • @shaling19bigsis I feel so sorry for kids going up today. The 21st century for American youth is culturally bankrupt. They don't realize it and I don't know if that is good or bad. I keep thinking about Dennis Leary downloading Sly in Demolition Man about the current world... a 40 year old virgin sitting around singing the Oscar Meyer Hot Dog jingle.... are we heading that way? Stop this rock I want off!

  • @DarthCormac yeah but it sucked for high school kids.

  • @DarthCormac yes they were great. i loved new wave music and mtv back then. i heard the U2 lp 'war' and it turned me into a music addict haha...

  • wow the 80s are starting to look like the 50s/60s as the years go by

  • Yea you never noticed that?

  • The Original Soundtrack to this movie is a collectors item and awesome..

  • Vally girls don't exist any more, neither do emo kids, and goth kids are hard to find (Not the hottopic fan tards)

  • Yes,they are beginning to dissapear,just as the bees....it's a complete mistery !

  • Nah man, you have those facebook whores now and scene kids are the in crowed now along with skate kids... I could go on but you get the point haha.

  • Not really. Vally girl is dead subculture.

  • @Gmancrap also, scene is dead too......

  • i'm a huge fan of actors in their earliest roles before ego hits and they turn into the obligatory hollywood big-shot douchebag types. cage is great here.

  • He was sooo freakin HOT in this movie. especially the beach scene where they first spot each other.

  • Nicolas Cage has the greatest chest hair in this movie. No, seriously. It's like someone glued a heart shaped piece of shag carpeting to his chest.
