  • what does 4v mean or 3v people are posting it alot what does it mean? Thanks

  • @livalittle100 that means that they have 4 vaginas in the car or 3vaginas in the car. for a better time you want 4.

  • @livalittle100 3 valve or 4 valve. more valves=better airflow

  • I love fbodys but i also love mustangs, its wierd. Fbodys are SPORTS cars, mustangs are PONY cars. Mustangs for cheap v8s for those who wants to go moderately fast with a great sounding v8.

  • @xxxXW4NT3DXxxx I love both too but I don't think F Body's are sports cars. They are much better in straight lines but Mustangs have the handling down. Go to a local Auto cross event and you will see several Mustang GT's running great times. They are both Pony cars the F bods just have a little more pep in their step

  • @nevermissclancom tell you what though, mustangs have a sweet song to play with the right setup. But so do Fbodys. Mustangs are clean sounding. Fbodys are dirty, mean sounding.

  • @xxxXW4NT3DXxxx They are both muscle cars IMO. Neither are great on the track. Current Mustang has a leg up on track performance I think. My '96 fbody Z28 is definitely a muscle car. Weight is very far forward. It's tail happy. Lots of body roll. I have no interest it taking it to the track.

  • what all has been done to the motor?

  • Leave the LS1"s to me. I pull them everytime. Not bad though for a GT. As long as your speedo is corrected for the gears.

  • those looked more like 4.10s from looking at the RPMs and when you had to shift. just saying cause i shift at 27, 57 mph in 1st and 2nd. definitely with you on the cams, but i think UD pulleys are next.

  • My 04 gt gets to 45mph on first gear and it peals ouy when i shift to second, i just bought it a week ago and im in love with mustangs now, except camaro's are always trying to race me lol

  • wana run my LT1? same mods

  • @bulldog190 I would love to. I like racing LT's because it is always close. LS's I stay away from.

  • @nevermissclancom I've been neck and neck with two LS1's in my intake exhaust 01 gt from about a 35 roll in 2nd

  • @nevermissclancom i've kept nose and nose with 2 ls1's and it wasnt because they cant drive. i have a k&n ram air intake and slp x pipe with magnapacks.

  • @suprbird sorry bro. It had to be other wise. A decent running LS1 car with a mediocre driver is a high 13 second car trapping over 104mph. I loved my GT and I could drive the shit out of it but a bolt on 2v is no match for a bolt on LS1.

  • @nevermissclancom well I was side by side with a 3v gt as well even talked to the kid who owned it, 2005 gt. When I bought my car it was just intake and exhaust, maybe its been tuned and has gears or something but i've pulled on a 6spd lt1 by about a car length, destroyed an automatic lt1 because he said his tranny was bad, pulled a half on the 3v and held it and raced the same ls1 twice nose to nose.

  • the first time I raced my buddy's ls1 he was bitching from a 40mph roll because he was in 3rd, full tank of gas, and a passenger, but the 2nd time we both were in 2nd at 35 and punched it and nose to nose til about 80 and we let off cause of traffic.

  • @bulldog190 I would....

  • @MrHotrodlincoln ya in michigan?

  • @bulldog190 Unfortunately no.

  • @mustang66v6 there quick but they always have problems.

  • @hanratty450 That's funny, because i've had a few 4.6 liters in my family and none of them ever had problems....ever...I bet everyone who says that has never owned a 4.6

  • @DeAdiSSu3 agreed. The only 4.6L engines i see hurt are in taxis because those stupid cunts dont change their oil. My 1996 Mustangs 4.6 just crossed 410k clicks on the odometer. Its been run its whole life and the only engine repair ive made was an intake manifold.

  • @DaBluedude100 Yep, all i've done is change the oil on mine ;) Its a 2010 F150 super crew 4x4, it can manage 16.4 mpg at 80 mph while hauling a mopar shortblock big block v8, trannie, heads valve covers etc. in the truckbed :)

  • Are you going to get some new valve springs with the cams too? I think that might help out a lot combined with the new cams and I read in a mag somewhere that they help squeeze some more hp out too.

  • @hanratty450 ok...

  • @hanratty450 you meant to say 4.6l are bad ass

  • Ah so you finally got some gears eh?

  • @StriderTacticaL best mod I have ever done. :) Cams are next after I get my springs, shocks and throttle body installed. :)

  • I want to do a gear swap but can't decide if it's worth the loss in mileage. I put on a lot of highway wiles commuting to school about 250 miles a week.

What kind of loss have you seen on the interstate or overall. I used to 25mpg running 70-75

    Thanks

  • @eustispanther You will lose about 2mpg. I average 19mpg on my tanks. That is including in town and highway with spirited driving. 3.73's may be your best bet. 4.10s are too much for a highway gear. Also it depends on if you have a T45 or a 3650. What year is your GT? The 02 and ups had a taller 5th gear giving better MPG. and 4.10's wouldn't hurt them as bad.

  • i raced a 2 valve gt and you were right in the description

  • sounds hella good
