  • lol, the people in this video must have some slow connections or they're afk or something, if this person can make that many videos off of his waiting time....

  • I don't see the point of saying this thechnique sucks:

The video is already uploaded. They won't take it off just because a bunch of fags opinions

So why the fuck commenting here, no one is changin his mind just because u say it sucks, your comment here is totally useless

  • i think its cool..

  • hes just better than u and you no that so stop being angry really people

  • geesh comments on video=fail :p

  • you have to realize how much different the physics are in brawl. some tricks so far are trying to confirm if old tricks still work. there are some new ones though.

  • A lot of people think you couldn't do things like this with Peach anymore because her jump got much shorter. Nice to know I can still do it w/o failing horribly.

  • lol guys...we gotta learn its a video game...competitive or not its still a game...and if somebody is better than you dont make excuses like...dude you cheated you canceled and i didnt...so what? you chose not to lol..if you dont want to play somebody who can beat you...then look for friends that suck....cause playin online will just disappoint you

  • unfortutely i kinda agree with manzell. it is kinda slow and should be easily poked assuming the isn't much invulerablity. but i dunno, i'll try it out myself before i make any real judgements. just seems kinda slow right now.

  • Too bad Peach's edge jump is just as slow as it was in Melee. So this is pretty worthless.

  • Peach: No Grappling Hook for me! Haha!

  • damn purist. canceling is useless? haha scrub, i don't think he's finding these discoveries for casual play, it's meant for it to be used competitively.

  • If you have a problem with people having skill, you are playing the absolute wrong game genre.

  • If you want to play online, you have to take the risk that someone is better than you. It's the same in any other online PVP game. You can either complain about it or try to get better.

  • omg just shut up and deal with it. If someone goes online they are gonna want to mindgame and do advance techniques because they actualy want to kick ass and do the best they can. What your saying is that you don't want people to be advance online. So what you saying is that you want people NOT to be they best THEY can and NOT do all the techniques at THEIR disposal just because its an inconveniance to YOU? Your a selfish ass-hole. Period.

  • haha perfectly said lolSBK; absurd to think you are playing online and want to play "newbs".

If you are content with playing simple minded opponents; thats what the single player and CPU opponents are for. Online is to see how you fair against others who are on equal ground to you...if you choose not to use abilities that is up to you.

But if you don't want them using the abilities, play a comp.

  • All this talk of online play got me thinking... how many seven year olds will I have to fight through to get to someone good >.>

  • LOLZ.

  • "The world may never know."

  • It is meant for one someone is coming at you whilst hanging on the edge....see how the hitbox hits at their feet....if you know how you lure your opponent into this it works GREAT. You can then get off the edge and back into combat.

You obviously don't know anything about MIENDGAEMZ OR TEK SKILLZ

  • lolmindgaems

"Hey look! I'm doing jumping around and accomplishing nothing over here. This confuses you. I have a clear advantage."

  • why wouldn't some one just wait until you messed up and fall off the edge?

  • This seems useless, wont the opponent just stand on the other side and wait for you to be done with this nonsense?

  • No.

  • Of course they wouldn't. The vast majority of people who see you on the edge, or even just trying to recover, are going to try and edgeguard, and then you can trip them with this, to gain some space and a proper recovery.

  • I have a massive cawk, plenty of games and a decent social life. Where the fuck does it say that being a smasher = you're a nerd? I recall reading that most top level smashers only play a few times a week as they've technically learnt the entire game and can still earn over 30,000 a year.

Bill, kill your fucking ass right now.

  • Ive only been playing Melee for 5 months and brawl for about 6 days xD

  • ^_^ keep playing it~ them discoveries help us all out.

  • If your so certain it doesn't work Bill Cosby, go look at my friendlies where I use it as a mindgame...pwned

  • Get the game and play me vs Brawl Bill. Come on you shit. If you come to south east england let's have a money match. First to 10. 500£. If not I'll just bust your ass up over wifi. Come on, I dare you.

  • Mindgames work because no one in the game save for maybe sonic can play purely reflexively. If you use a move, you are, whether you are aware of it or not, staking a risk in it. If it leaves you vulnerable somewhere, the best you can hope for is that the enemy wasn't expecting it.

  • Or, you can bitch about it and get nothing done yourself. The technique seems a lot like Jigglypuff's Wall of Pain- if you can avoid your enemy to the edge, jump off, and land this attack, you can follow with a string of attacks. Obviously, the sandbag isn't going to try to attack you, but if someone who's focus was to win was playing against you, and they saw you were backing up, they might try to knock you off close to the edge, thinking he can edgeguard, then- BAM- Fair'd.

  • you obviously know a lot about competitive smash

  • BillCosbyfan i'm sorry to have to say this, but you are a negative nancy. and i will be glad to pwn you in the mouth once this game comes out.

  • Of course not, it's to rack up damage against your opponent and to propel him or her away from your general area with the attack. The knockback from the attack may give you enough spacing and time to let you roll back onto the stage. Also, there's always the mindgames. ;)

  • Where did he say it'd Kill his opponent?

  • why would you do something in a game that doesn't focus on winning said game?

  • bill. you don't fucking have brawl. Yes, it will kill them. God. Those as fairs. Aka, forward, air, smash. Its a mid air suspensive succession of attacks which are linked, and are designed to mindgame someone into being smacked repeatedly, and then, eventually, die.

Have you played Brawl before even? Cunt. Its so floaty; ledgeguarding is nigh on removed, so a mindgame like this really helps.

  • I don't think any of you understand...

As a mindgame technique, it can be performed AFTER you kill your opponent.

Mindgames are effective. Obviously they don't work on a stationary sandbag. They're for tournament play.

  • And then he'd be back on the stage and could go back on the offensive...

  • If the guy just died, he'd be down a life and so he'd be losing so it'd be a bad idea for him to just sit around. Bill, you don't know jack shit about competitive play so shut your mouth you moron

  • Did your mom just kinda... babyshat you headfirst onto the floor? Cause that's what it seems like...

  • Looks like somebody never read Sun Tzu's "Art of War".

  • You jump at the enemy and always, always attack? They'll start to expect it. Why not jump in, and instead of attacking, anticipate the counter they've by now been accustomed to trying on you, air dodge it and smack them in the face?

Or if they always dodge roll in them instances, don't attack, dash in after the jump and smack them then. Guarantied mindgaming.

  • How about don't make assumptions? I switch between fairing bairing bomber and the toad lol.

  • You have to be decent at playing Smash traditionally before you use them, of course, or else they're useless for fags like you. There are so many factors that can cross out mindgames when you're a clumsy bastard and don't always try the guarantied stuff.

When you've capped any game 100%, know all the best setups, combos, etc, and have lightning reaction times, you'll realize alot of the best options aren't guarantied. That is when mindgaming works.

  • A counter to that, BillCosby could be a quick float cancel in anticipation. You could then quickly float backwards briskly before following up with another F-air.

  • kewl.
