Is there a higher quality version available? The audio track is horrible to listen to : \ Had to mux the video track from YT and the audio track from some random streaming site in order to just get something half-decent...

Did you edit the audio? The transitions aren't too good... The music do not fade out properly in the end either. Liked how there was no music in the end though!

The first half minute i was like "Duh...so?" but after that the video REALLY caught me, i found myself with the mouth half open by the end of the video (Even when i have seen the anime and movie well over 20 times now)

It's a little confusing. It might because he was ashamed of his little ordeal in the hospital, or since he imagined choking her so many times, and was so frustrated about the miserable way the world was, he didn't want her be a part of it.

You really shouldn't ask a question like that without watching the series, the series and final film leave alot to interpretation. Thus your not going to get an end all be all answer for why he starts choking her. My opinion is that Shinji chokes her to both assure himself that he is no longer in the LCL and also his frustration that he chose to leave the LCL. Asuka replies "how disgusting" because she is disgusted by her experience in the LCL or by leaving the LCL.

Everytime I get to the end my head gets fucked up a little bit. It's just a total mindfuck, i think I saw it around the same age you did so I understand entirely. But End of Eva i think is slightly less of a mindfuck than the tv series ending, and you really need to see it to get the full experience of Eva. So definitely go and watch it, its worth being zombified for a week.
