Just because he doesn't score 50 a year, that doesn't mean he isn't good. Believe it or not, hockey isn't all scoring. He's got the best hands in the NHL, his defense is phenomenal. Doesn't take many penalties, he has 4 Lady Byngs by the way. He wins faceoffs, makes plays, isn't selfish. I could go on.

EVER... datsyuk can deke shoot and play defense. plus on top of that hes not a hotshot looking for attention. ovie is the best player in the NHL and Datsyuk is number two

@rcap05 Overall Datsyuk is a better hockey player that ovechkin. Ovie has a little more offensive skill but their two way perfomance (defensive attributes) are night and day. Datsyuk > Ovie. I fucking hate Crosby but i'd rather have him on my team than Ovie, Crosby has a ring and a gold medal already to his name, he's a winner, obviously. Ovie lost in the playoffs after having a 3-0 Series lead and lost in game seven at home, kinda pathetic.

@apdanglez i stand corrected and learned this tonight right before i read this...it was a stat that they showed on TV as the wings were tied 3-3 with the coyotes, there was only three teams to ever overcome a 3-0 deficit. The brooms came out though. I would still rather have pavel on my team than anyone else. Then again, i'm a wings fan and ovie wouldn't fit in with how the wings play.
