Mever apply a cleaning agent of any sorts especially tooth paste to to a cd windex or something like that might work but tooth paste. RU FKIN DUMB! have you felt tooth paste it generally has a gritty texture to it which will make your cd worse

Well if this doesn't work for you, some game stores have machines that can repair it but normally there will be a charge. The charge is only a few dollars usually it depends on what store and if they even have the machine or if you have to buy a machine. It's probably one of the most reliable ways to fix the disc but if it's horribly damaged then it may not work. I personally never had to use the service before but I'm just saying in case some didn't know. (sorry for the huge comment)

@bLoOdMeRc91 look... this technique, calles polishing your cd, does NOT, and i repeat NOT work on blu-ray disks, becuase the protective outer plastic layer is a bit harder, can't tell 100% what's with it IF you will try to polish it with a professional polisher or some cheap tooth paste it will only worsen things...

and now i tell WHY this does work on other cd's...

every cd you have has a dark, thin and fragile layer on the inside, which is protected by a thicker plastic layer on the outside.

this dark layer is being written by a lazer beam, and works by the following method:

is the piece of the dark layer shines when the lazer is focussed on it, it's being read as 1.

if not, it iwll be read as 0 (binary code).

this is also why so little music files fit into a cd, no compression at all..
