@JahPity Not necessarily. Crucifixion could have involved simply roping the victim the the cross. No mention in the Gospels of nailing Jesus to the cross.
@Siewai7 I'm not sure if nails are mentioned in any of the four Gospels, but the common practice of the Romans at the time was to nail their arms near the wrist (not at the wrist, they would bleed out and die too fast) to the cross and then tie them for support. I thought you would be interested in that...

Wrong. That is not what the Bible says. The Bible says that you must repent, which means that have genuine sorrow for your sin and you are telling God that you are wrong and He is right. Then, you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, a punishment that you deserve. Then, God forgives you and gives you a new heart and new desires and a pure spirit. Study the Bible. I dare you! Don't just go by what you have heard.

The peaceful, upbeat music is an instant tell that this guy is a sadist. How sad mankind is when we enjoy and admire the image of a man being tourtured and killed. @Siewai7 I'm not sure if nails are mentioned in any of the four Gospels, but the common practice of the Romans at the time was to nail their arms near the wrist (not at the wrist, they would bleed out and die too fast) to the cross and then tie them for support. I thought you would be interested in that...

I just don't how it all happened, but although my parents had nothing whatever so do with this, I have always totally hated Jesus Christ. Nothing in particular, but there's just something so painfully fradulent and fake about him and these fairy tales. This must be something genetic, since no one forced me to think this way, but it's just that I find Jesus fucking awful. Everything about him smells rotten. I have no hate in my heart except for Jesus.

Very wrong. The dead sea scrolls that were found have full sections of parts of the Jewish scripture and the New Testament. They dated it to around 50 BC. Jesus Was Crucified around 30 AD. Keep in mind post Christs death the followeres were hiding out and meeting in secret to discuss the faith. They started writing things down to keep eachother strong in the face of oppression and even death. Of the desciples 10 were killed because they would nt deny Christ as God. Would you die 4 lies?

Why should god judge me, I don't think he/she/it has the right. You can say god created me but again, you don't know. I don't think things are that simple to be honest. The bible is basically a simple answer for people.

I hate to disappoint you guys, but Christ hung on a T. Then, not only did he hang from his wrists -- which were called hands in the day -- he was nailed not through the front of his feet but through the back of his ankles. Then "skull" was an actual place just outside Jerusalem before you entered the city that looked like a skull. It was a reminder to the people of hat time not to get out of hand.

didn't it say in the bible that they nailed a sign over his head on the cross saying this is the king of jews. well then how would they put it on a T shaped thing. Second of all, the Shroud of Turin shows that he was nailed on his hands, not wrists.

You did not disappoint me. To me the importance is not in what the cross looked like nor how He was nailed or hung. This is of no significance and not worth arguing about. It's like arguing whether His right hand or His left hand was nailed first. What is important is that He died for my sins and the sins of the world once and for all time. It is only through His death and resurrection that we are healed and that the sting of death has been defeated. O death where is your sting?

in some countries, pilgrims get crucified on a cross to endure what Jesus went through. .many of them get back down after 6 minutes from serious agony. . .poor Jesus had to endure 6 hours of it. .before opening the Gates of Heaven for us. .

Wrong. That is not what the Bible says. The Bible says that you must repent, which means that have genuine sorrow for your sin and you are telling God that you are wrong and He is right. Then, you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, a punishment that you deserve. Then, God forgives you and gives you a new heart and new desires and a pure spirit. Study the Bible. I dare you! Don't just go by what you have heard.
