Mekkis, even though I agree that your asthma is NOT your fault, it IS your problem. We all have our own problems to worry about.

That may sound cruel, but do you have rights to the fruits of my hard work? The public option will be entirely taxpayer funded. I'm not rich, but the CBO already said there isn't nearly enough to pay for this plan even after fleecing the rich and slashing Medicare. The middle class will pay. I'll be forced to pay to treat your asthma.

Furthermore, you haven't even bothered to do something like offer a comparison with other industrialized nations on their health care plans versus our health care plans. You just demonize Obama's as if it's some cockamamie scheme that's never been tried. He's proposing a Bismarck-style (e.g. Swiss-style) system, which works very well in the nations that use it. But then again, you appear only really interested in rhetoric, not critical thought, accuracy or -- God forbid -- research.

The "Evil, Unhealthy Twin" segment was the biggest pile of horseshit in this video -- as if 'personal responsibility' was the sole determining factor in the state of one's health. I'm a healthy male, a vegetarian who gets regular exercise, but I just happens to have asthma. I can't *GET* coverage for less than $600/mo with a $10,000 deductible. Yet in your world, somehow my hereditary asthma is "my fault".

What I want to know is very simple. If the changes to our healthcare system are so great, if what is proposed is going to be such a great system, then why arent Obama, Congress and the Senate signing up for it? Why do they get their own program even after they stick us with Obamacare? They get very good PRIVATE coverage that WE pay for, while they stick us with socialized medicine. Is this "change we can believe in"???

Also, Govt DOESNT run Mdicare well, my cust cant find a dr who will even take it! & the Rx is laughable on Medicr. My Sm Bus.'s r struggling BIG TIME to keep benes on employees & I've lost 10 grps in '09 b/c of rates! Avg emp costs $400 mo, Couple $800, Sngle Prnt $1000 & Fams cost $1300. Even if Emplyr & Emplyee Split cost it's still 2 much 4 either! Reform, YES. Govt Run, NO.
