Gateway monitors are shit, by the way. I've read a number of reports on them burning out before the warranty expires and Gateway giving the customers a run around when it comes to repair or replacement.

Thats funny you think Apple makes douchebags, but you like their Rip-Off iPods. I have had my Macbook Pro for 2 1/2 years now and it is still competing with some pretty expensive PC's, computing wise and graphically wise. Especially with the New Snow Leopard, it totally blows away Windows 7 in almost every aspect.

yes and the time you bought it i could have bought one with the same specs for less than 1k. as of right now a 15" macbook pro core 2 duo is around 2k with some ram and hd upgrades. i can get an i7 from hp for less than 1k. twice the preformance for half the price. shows how brainwashed mac buyers are.

No, I know every component about my Mac. And oh ya the bus speed on the Dell Core i7 is only 1.6Ghz that's pretty slow considering you still have to push a of that info into 4 cores, ya you can over-clock it to 2.8GHz but talk about not being able to hold the things. I the resolution still isn't as good as the Macbook Pro's screen. And no a 600 dollar Pc CANNOT beat my MacBook Pro. I don't know what you're looking at

Windows works on every computer, you cannot compared it to Mac OS X t. It's custom made for apple computers.

I also have a laptop that still competes with nowadays normal laptops. But you see, I can choose all the hardware I want. Apple design is nice. But they must stop being so egocentric

why didn't you get the Dell 3008 model the contrast ratio on that is 3000:1 and the response time on that is 8 ms and it's HDMI connection but it's for $1999 while the 3007WFP the old model is I think for $1200, i'm planning on getting a 30-inch but don't know which one to get there's Dell, Apple (waiting update one's), HP, Gateway, SamSung but the Dell 3008 is very promising, unless Apple comes out with a better one.

This model is a new one there is an old 3007 then the new one which is an Ultra Sharp. The 3008 is overpriced and you don't get your money's worth.

my next build will have 30" LCD now but Im quite happy with 1920x1200 now but 2560x1600 has to be good for desktop space but Im not fan of DELL lol so Samsung here I come
