  • I have a dvd release that has this scene in it.

  • @Im1man

Most DVD releases since the early 90s have included the scene.

  • I was watching this on network tv once when I was young and they had this scene in it. I was shocked.

  • this clip was magic, i'll never forget when my dad and i watched the whole quadriology in one day.

    well done ridley scott.

    looking forward to PROMETHEUS :D

  • POOTISPENSER HERE

  • "maybe we got them demoralized!" - lol

  • @asdfqwervd AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHHAHAA

  • this is in the xtended version

  • I just realized that the sentry guns were out of ammo and then when it cut back to them it said 10 again.

  • @jackthefrenchguy they weren't out, they caused the alien retreat in the 'nick of time' another reason this scene is rubbish and why i'm glad it was cut

  • Just because you CAN upload something to You Tube doesn't mean you SHOULD.

  • Every dialogue by Hudson in this movie is legendary

  • "Hey Vasquez, you ever been mistaken for a man?" "No. Have you?"

  • "Maybe we got 'em demoralized" "SHUSH" LMAO

  • you. are. a. cunt. now. fuck. off

  • i want to see terminators vs aliens

  • Demoralised Aliens is a rather amusing thought.

  • Did you film this through a kaleidoscope?

  • @cornsrichard a kaleidoscope made from a potato!

  • I remember the first time I saw this scene, I was like whoa! Nuts!

  • this scene is in the 2004 special edition.

  • If only the Aliens had a Spy to sap those Sentries.

  • @MiHiVidz

Where do you think Team Fortress got the concept from? :)

  • No I will not join your alien and UFO website...

  • maybe we got'em demoralized

  • Dislike bar, thanks so much for giving me the hint to hit pause before I regret watching this.

  • Wait a minute I watched this movie and this scene was in it

  • @JeretKings directors cut - got it myself

  • @AidanPryde09 Ok, sorry.

  • This is from the Director's Cut, which also includes a longer earlier section about Newt's family being sent to the Alien ship. It is a much poorer version of the film for pacing and plot reveal issues.

  • @lawvos1

Yeah, I like certain scenes in the DC but not all. The sentry guns stuff is great, but the stuff with the Jorden family out in the rover with Newt and her brother in the back is terrible. I always skip that scene when watching it.

  • @KaitainCPS i have to disagree, for the most part it is a shot of smoke filled corridor with some bangers going off, switching to a shot of a counter going down - hardly exhilarating, and then the aliens just happen to retreat with ten rounds remaining. Oh how fortunate. Not only that, it ruins the pacing of the film.

  • @lawvos1

I've never felt that the pacing was harmed by those sequences. And it adds to the sense of danger and a siege. The only problem I have with the scene is the seemingly repeated shots of the creatures getting hit, with ultra-rapid cuts. It feels as though they didn't actually schedule or complete the effects shots for this scene.

  • @KaitainCPS Whilst I feel the bits with the family at the start spoil the reveal of exactly what has happened on the planet in the run up to the marine's arrival (though in the back of your mind you already know), at least it gives you an idea of the intention of Weyland and some back-story to Newt (even if it does detract from her otherwise good acting).

  • @lawvos1

But here's the thing: the first half of that sequence is fine, and serves a narrative purpose. By all means show the Hadley's Hope base, the kids playing on trikes, Lydecker and Simpson doing their walk-and-talk conversation. This gives the information that SOMETHING has been found, and shows the base full of life, which offers a nice contrast to the deserted complex later on. But then - CUT. Cut at the end of Simpson's conversation with Lydecker. End of scene; back to Earth.

  • Did you film this with a turd you shat out?

  • This ran on American television in an extended version years ago.

  • buy the blu ray versain to this and u c it in the movie

  • Better quality version without the spam weblink on it at Aliens Director's cut The Tunnel

  • This is the release i first saw on tv as a kid so really what else is missing from the "theatrical release" ??

  • Haha "Maybe we got them demoralized"

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah this was definately in the Australian release I remember seeing it as a kid. I don't know why it was deleted in other releases.

  • i got the Aliens collection set alot of the deleted or cut clips had damage to them from never gettin the proper editing. believe me they have one section where you hear static your choppy and they put up the words on the screen so you knew whut was being said cause you are serously clueless lol

  • This was in the movie? Not deleted...

  • @adambentham

It wasn't in the original theatrical release from 1986. In the director's cut (or 'special edition' as it was known) released in 1992, these scenes were restored. Aliens was one of the first mainstream films to receive an extended edition treatment in this way; the concept was a relative novelty in the early 90s. When I first heard about its planned release I could barely believe it as an Aliens fan. I got hold of a pre-release pirate copy on VHS in 1991.

  • was this converted and uploaded with a calculator?

  • So there was at least one alien for each colonist...thats like ver 300 right?

  • @ironraptorterror I'd have thought betweeen the two sentry scenes they'd have toasted more than half the total aliens in there, at least.

  • @ironraptorterror They never say specifically, just that Hadley's Hope was home to over 50 families. If we assumed a typical family followed the 2.4 children model of two parents and two or three kids that brings us to a rough total of between 200-250 aliens

  • @weldonwin Yes they do. Ripley corners Burke and says, "You are responsible for the deaths of 157 colonists" Now, assuming the colonists fought back, (and we know they did and that they used explosives) you gotta assume that some would be killed without being impregnated

  • @weldonwin

You don't need to imagine the numbers. The "Welcome to Hadley's Hope" sign shows that the population is 158.

It does make one wonder if the expedition team was actually fairly close to an outright tactical victory before the nuclear detonation.

  • @ironraptorterror

Probably not one alien for each colonist; I assume many died outright in combat against the warriors rather than being abducted for impregnation by the facehuggers.

There were 158 colonists at Hadley's Hope.

  • @KaitainCPS it's possible some took some acid deaths, aliens for the most part want their hosts alive to reproduce but theyll kill them if their a major threat,so im making an estimate maybe there was somewhere around 140 warrior aliens or so,oh and some of the colonists died in the medlab during facehugger removal

  • And this is why sentrys should have a much larger cache of ammo.

  • @gmodman1701 I think they'd have been designed to keep out an enemy who was less willing to charge down a narrow fire-lane without any sense of fear. Its also easy to imagine them being redesigned with larger ammo supplies after this

  • @gmodman1701 they dont run out in COD..i just do not understand this

  • @rezindogg this is not a videogame this a movie based off a realistic science fiction event, guns and sentries do not have unlimited ammo, you do not have regenrative health, comparing this to a something that happens in call of duty was insulting

  • @gmodman1701

They probably will in the new Colonial Marines game :)

  • @gmodman1701 "how do we get so many bullets in em? like this!"

  • was this filmed with a ______

  • was this filmed with a badger??!

  • B gun's down to 20

  • What in the hell is that video description?

  • actually i believe this is in the Aliens special edition not the original release

  • i have more fingers than this clip has pixels LOL

  • @disengagejam you have two fingers!

  • @disengagejam Is it hard to live with only 3 fingers?

  • @armenius28 He didn't specify how many more fingers he had than this video has pixels. Therefore your comment does not make sense. Good try though.

  • @HaloReplicas my guess after watching...was and is 3...so it does make sense...but like you said...good try though

  • @armenius28 What are you? 12? You are wrong, you lose, GOOD DAY SIR.

  • @HaloReplicas seen your comment....its you who are 12...little kid aka fuckface....and i loose....lolZZZZZZ

Everytime you look into a mirror(something that a law should forbid, but we have hope...still)...you loose.

Come on be realistic...and btw....do somthing usefull...like making a picture while dad is beating you....Animal day needs some sad pics

  • @armenius28 First: learn to spell properly. Second: Why are you projecting your feelings about your dad on me, Have you been abused by him as a child? Third: You mad, bro?

  • @HaloReplicas First: translate the text in german, dutch and russian for me and we talk further in the spelling deparment.(and on top of that, kids like you dont make me check on spelling mistakes, since your not really worth trying)

Second:I dont need to project anything here...since you allready did that job for us here...i hope you will get over it when you have grown up.

    Third:of course not....since i'm wrong and lose he fuckface...peace

  • @armenius28 Bro, i'm 18. You are the one that's acting immature with your constant need to add "harmful words" into your reply. I AM dutch, if you were talking about that, i haven't slept for days now (schoolwork overload) so i might not comprehend some of your statements.

  • @HaloReplicas Oh boy...if you thought that where harmfull words, where did your parents hide you man?

And school or not...you started it btw...or was it your retarded brother?

en veel geluk met je school...bye

  • @armenius28 Was not my brother, and i put harmful words between quotes to express how they were not harmful. It's common knowledge, and if you fail to understand that, i feel very sorry for you. En dat laatste zal wel lukken (college).

  • @HaloReplicas quotes or not...you still wanted to provoke me,en als je dat niet kunt toegeven....then i feel srry for you.

  • @armenius28 Nederland en engels door elkaar praten, Lol. Nee. Laat dit hele argument maar zitten, ik wil slapen.

  • @disengagejam So You Have 2 Fingers!?!?!

  • @disengagejam Indeed.

  • I liked Hicks better :)

  • That is not deleted ...its in the movie obviously someone didnt watch the movie ...

  • @LittleBette15

Someone ought to read the comments...

This was deleted from the original cinema releases and video releases. Please don't comment like this if the only version of the movie that you're aware of is the dvd.... *rolls eyes*

  • @Firestormify alright it may not be that realistic but were talking about a fictional movie anyway, suspension of disbelief is required in all cases

  • @Firestormify all i said was this scene makes them look like ants walking off a cliff. it took a ton of dead aliens before they decided to quit, it doesnt really fit with the nature of the beast, they are cunning and stealthy usually going with a surprise attack, which is why it was cut in favor of the sneaky ceiling entry as the initial attack

  • @Firestormify i think you replied to the wrong comment bud

  • The scene made no sense since aliens were so supposed to be super intelligent beings not knuckleheads wasting themselves against machine guns.

  • @Beliasarius

There's nothing in 'Alien' that says that the alien is super intelligent. Ash refers to it as a 'perfect organism', but in this sense he could be referring simply to its superb survivability. In evolutionary terms ants and termites are the most successful land creatures on earth (they take up over 25% of mobile biomass) but they are not especially intelligent, certainly not individually. The alien clearly isn't DUMB, but it doesn't seem to be Einstein.

  • This scene was NOT on the original VHS release... It appeared in the Special Edition later on.

  • @Keltibarian

correct! And the 1st time i saw this scene was when this film was shown on cbs years ago. I was like what the fuck?!!!

  • this scene made them seem more like a bunch of ants walking off a cliff, its a good thing it was cut

  • I saw Aliens when it first came out in 86 and I DROOLED when I got my hands on the special edition with its 40 somewhat mins of re added footage! Hudson flappin his gums on the way down in the drop ship was great! "Me and my ultimate squad of bad asses will protect you!"

  • @zzzombie888

    It's less than 40 minutes...more like around 17, I think.

  • Nah hes right, the version that came to dvd is the extended version, as stated by jim - the theatrical version had to be trimmed since the go was for shorter movies at the time of its release.

the full movie stands at 2hrs+ and there were many deleted scened that finally we can appreciate cos of dvd.

  • Yeah, but they don't know that.

  • yes the facehugger layed the alien in newt's father and a queen was born. i wonder why newt was the only survivor

  • @avadod The graphic novel "Newt's Tale" has alot of cut screenplay in there, but it says what happened to the colony and how she escaped.

  • it was on the oldschool VHS

  • think it was 15min that was cut awey from the original :(

  • 0:47 Sentry Down!

  • It WAS deleted. You can see it on the special edition (hence, a deleted scene). And, Hicks ftw.

  • I just thought it was annoying not more alien shots getting shot up or blown up just could have been done better

  • The most recent version of the Aliens: Special Edition (green box set) and the older 90s boxed set (the black box with the sliver drone on it) both have this and Newt's parents, etc. scenes included. P.S. there are tons of hidden easter eggs and links on the black box set, especially for Ridley's Alien.

  • @ManifestMiasma Isn't it Newt's Dad who brings the alien back? Long time since I've watched the extra's...all the Vincent Ward stuff on the wooden planet version of Alien 3 is fucking great...

  • @vollsticks You're right about Newt's father. And yes the actual set builds for this series is so great, real artistry involved, rather than the hodgepodge of CGI that infests most movies made today.

  • its in the directors cut.

  • Comment removed

  • actually it was when the film came out in theatres this scene never made it into the film.

  • @l1011l Hudson Ftw !

  • @l1011l This was deleted. It was the auto gun, or auto cannon scene that tried to convey that the Aliens just kept attacking. It was NOT in the movie that was released in the movie theaters.

  • @l1011l Ahh yes it was it was put back in for the special edition but was originally taken out because it made the Aliens look weak

  • @SatdayMrningCartoons k if you guys say so-whenever I've seen it which is over 20 times at least, it was there...but I didn't watch the initial release at the theaters.

  • @l1011l what do you mean this wasn't deleted? That was only in the extended cut but not in the original version, of course it was deleted.

  • @conatcha read the rest of the comments, it's been covered by others already

  • @l1011l Yes its has been delete on the french aliens one

  • @l1011l It was deleted from the original theater release, at least in the USA. It was included in the USA for TV versions early on, to make up for everything else they cut out for TV.

  • @Raymo853inLeDroit

Yup. It was also deleted from the original video releases too.

  • @l1011l You must have seen the extended version.

  • @l1011l

It was deleted from the original theatrical release.
