  • @TheHedgehogPilot Thanks! you pretty darn awesome too for watching my vid! :)

  • the video quality is awesome

  • This car is my new dream car...gonna get it someday...

  • what was all that noise? wind, road, engine, A/C??

  • Is there a model where you can choose manual transmission, navigation and sunroof? I mean all 3 on the same car....because i only saw navigation screen on the model with automatic transmission.

  • I have to strongly disagree with saying a 2800-pound, 150hp car has "not just bark, but bite," etc. The Elantra does a 16-second 1/4-mile and 0-60 in 9 seconds. That's pretty sad.

The rest of the car is great though, and with that lack of oomph comes 40mpg on the highway.

  • @WesSeid LOL..yea I agree with U about the car NOT having power when U press the gas.But the car is light&has just OK bite..lol.I think the handling is great since the car is light&the gas mileage is da best:)But remember this aint a performance sports car..lol.It just looks that way inside&out:)But I have nothing bad2say about this car besides the performance of it..lol.Great for families or single people that need room for frds&good trunk room for storage:)

  • The Elantra does not get 40MPG highway. Check out that data on the website 'fuelly'. Consumer watchdog has sent a letter to president Obama and to the EPA stating that you car does worse that what the EPA tests reveal, and Chevy Cruze consistently does better than what it's EPA values are. Both the Elantra and Cruze are 33MPG combined).

The Cruze gets an average of 28% better mileage than the Elantra.

Stop lying please. My mother got an Elantra, always in Eco mode, can't get more than 25MPGcity

  • First impressions are great, but I want to see how the car is running after 180,000 miles. I want to like this car, but am leaning more toward the Civic.

  • great review~ elentra just won the " north america car of the year' award lol

  • Sales tu mas que el coche....

  • Good review

  • This car is awesome for sure.

  • This care is awesome for sure.

  • Always lol when they judge the build quality by how the door closes. A car MAY have a sweet sounding door, but be utter junk when all the mechanicals break down a couple of years later. The engineers probably know this, and spend years tuning the door to fool people into thinking its quality. It's about as useful as "kicking the tires"- it means nothing. However, I know Hyundai's and have seen them be very reliable and drive well. Not a bad buy. Don't judge a car on its door noise though ffs.

  • beauty.

    Love it

    Really this car over-performes itself.

    Good job Hyundai ! ! !

  • what camera did you use in this vid???

  • @althegreat17 Hey there I filmed this video with the Sanyo Xacti CA100 water proof camera. It works pretty well. I also used a flip for exterior shots. Thanks for watching my video! Tony

  • @TheMediaMart thanks! never heard of that cam before.. nice car btw..

  • @TheMediaMart It that the most basic one?Is that the navigation and have the backup camera?Response appreciated......

  • @FrankRizzo762 Its NOT the top of the line LIMITED model.I just bought the Elantra Limited(but without Navigation).Im guessing that hes driving the GLS model or maybe lower than that since he uses rental cars

  • @TheMediaMart It that the most basic one?Is that the navigation and have the backup camera?Response appreciated......

  • the elantra looks best in black with tinted windows!

  • @MooseheadDrinker I'm feeling that, but i saw it in silver with tint and a black pin stripe - SWEET! Thanks for watching my video! Tony

  • When you go inside you hear the tires and so loud cant hear music

  • @jjmaxx16 I didn't notice tire noise. Thanks for watching my video

  • nice review and nice car!!.

  • @bobiquesada Thanks! I love the Elantra! Thanks for watching my video

  • Great car! I just bought one here in Brazil. But here the price of GLS is almost $40.000 (US dollars), can you believe?

  • @doutorsormaniqueiroz that is a lot of coin! How do you like it? Thanks for watching my video

  • I am leaning heavily on this car as my 2nd car for spring 2012. I wanted to see actual numbers as to how strong the engine is considering it is a 1.8ltr 148hp. I currently have a 2006 Mazda 3 2.0 148hp A/T and if the engine performance is comparable with each other.

  • @pinoyeh Sorry for the delay - I'm nor sure about the specs - they're both pretty quick off the line -- thanks for watching my video

  • Some window tint...and done !

  • @bufbarnaby Tint it up baby! Thanks for watching my video

  • Did you know?

In Brazil this car costs $ 41,000 manual transmission.

The top model in Brazil costs $ 48,000

    Taxes absurd!"

    Thank your country!

  • @robinhucars ?

  • @robinhucars Wow! In Russia it starts from $23000. I thought, that in our country there are the highest prices on cars!!

  • @robinhucars Well in Europe this car cost 13.540 euros Top model.Very very cheap.

  • All the Elantra needs is a spoiler! :)

  • @redneon06 I've never seen it with a spoiler. That would be sweet! Thanks!

  • @TheMediaMart This is a little give for you.

  • @redneon06 It dont need a spoiler..lol.But a little one wont hurt..lol.I just bought a brand new 2012 Hyundai Elantra LIMITED:)Its da best&I cant say anything bad about the car.Im not in2performance.But its not Asports car&its good for gas mileage. It handles like a sports car&it got some kick4a 1.8L.Maybe its hard2C the blindspots but thats expected due2the design of the car.Same with the Sonata. Also the front blindspots R hard2C when U make a Left turn&people R crossing the street.

  • Is this your vehicle?

  • I got this about 4 months ago and i have been loving it. It drives great and hasn't presented any problems to me in the time i've had it so far. Love the way it looks and the way it handles. Great price for what you get as well.

  • @IIIDerekIII awesome! I love the Elantra! Good luck with it and thanks for watching my video! Tony

  • LOL "Im extremely excited about this car" and his face :/ yeah sure super hyper excited about this car LOL

  • I'm actually looking to buy this as my first car too! Which package is this? I noticed yours didn't include the volume controls on the steering wheel. Does yours have AC? I'm looking to get the package with AC and the volume control on the steering wheel, is that the GLS? or the preferred? Any response would be greatly appreciated, your car looks amazing!

  • @clipse375 I'll send you a link to the Elantra E Brochure, which is packed with great info. It looks like the steering wheel audio controls are only available on the Limited and Touring models.

Thanks for watching my video --- good luck with the car shopping! Tony

  • I want this so bad! would it be a good first car

  • @urockmysox indeed! this would be an awesome first car. Thanks for watching my video :)

  • @urockmysox it's a cool car! I hope you get it!

  • "SMALL" car? its freaking huge! what do u americans want? hummers? the elantra in other countries are considered luxury vehicles

  • @mrutuberxy it is big for a small car - listen, I LOVE this car and I'm an American so I guess I give a US point of view on these reviews. Thanks for watching! Tony

  • @mrutuberxy it's a luxury vehicle in my book too, but in the USA it is considered a small car. Thanks for watching my video :) Tony

  • @mrutuberxy ahahaha considered luxury vehicles? are you blind? whether ur in africa or australia (like i am) this car is still a economy class car. for gods sake, everyone knows what a mercedes is....and this isnt a mercedes.

  • @mrutuberxy compared to other cars here in america, its pretty big

  • will it blend?

  • @lovehina7362579 it blends! :)

  • These cars to me look nice but feel cheap, and they are actually cheap. All Korean cars although cheaper than European and Japanese counterparts but they should in fact be even more cheaper than this. These cars more of plastic toys than cars. Do you know a word called "quality" or may be safety and reliability ?

  • @Amero1 I disagree respectfully. Honda makes great products no doubt, but Hyundai is no slouch today -- get out and drive one...

Thanks for watching my video -- Tony

  • Great Review!

  • @AlexanderTrinh Thanks for watching! Tony

  • Just one question, Do you love this car?

  • @BerettaM9USAF I'm LOVIN" this car indeed!

  • Great review,

I picked our Elantra Elite (Limited) two weeks ago and it has blown me away, what a great car. Stunning design and out classes all in this sector and has a good crack at the more expensive class.

  • @akie64 I agree! I'm happy that you are enjoying your new car! Let me know how it goes and send me a video update and I'll post it on my channel! Tony

  • what your saying about this car is really true, i just bought one yesterday....I LOVE IT!

  • @aclau7 Great! Tell Hyundai that the average guy helped you pick it out :) Thanks for watching!

  • I agree. Lots of GLS models, very few Limited. I drove one and it was really nice...

  • @slyguyaction thanks Sly!

  • Great video, picking up my 2012 tomorrow!! Can't wait :)

  • @colevd wooohooo! enjoy your new ride! Thanks for watching my video -- send me video of you in your new car and I'll post it on my channel. Tony

  • Please do a review on the Limited with leather, a sunroof and navigation...

  • @slyguyaction I'd love to do one on the limited model - I'd like to own the limited model that has all those features, but they are hard to come by on the rental lot :)

  • @TheMediaMart you know I like where hyundai is going too!

I feel like Hyundai now is where Honda was 20 years ago.....

Excellent value, really good quality for the price.

But right now I think the exterior of the car is brutal! not feelin it.... maybe it needs to grow on me..... It almost seems to abstract. I think they need to bring out an agressive performace package for it. A "Type R equivalent" to bring out the "sport car soul" on the exterior.... Ill agree the interior is nice though.

  • Excellent review: witty, substantial and great background music. Also loved the blue Elantra. Cool color. Thanks.

  • @RichieLA1 - Thank you very much for the kind words! I loved the Elantra - it's one of those cars that you hate to take back to the rental lot :(

Thanks for watching my video :)

  • @RichieLA1 thanks for your kind words and for watching my video! Tony

  • Love the dry sense of humor. Made watching a car review fun again. Excellent video. I'm subscribing...

  • @slyguyaction thank you - I sure love doing the reviews! Thanks for watching! Tony

  • Thanks for an excellent video, very good details about the car, I leased 32 months ago a Civic LX and I'm about to lease again in 4 months and the Elantra is one of my options and after watching your video, on my list Hyundai Elantra scores again , thanks for the video!!!!

  • @MrRugbyworld thank you for watching! Good luck with your new car! Tony

  • @MrRugbyworld The Elantra doesnt even come with a spare tire. Honda is much better, and people wont make fun of you like they would if you were in a Hyundai. Hyundai has always been known as unreliable. Honda is known for the exact opposite. Stay with Honda, or buy toyota, theyre good too.

  • Honday, Hunday, Hyoondie. Any way you say it, I'm lovin' this car.

  • @palebeachbum me too! thanks for watching the video! Tony

  • I have to admit Hyundai is really improving their looks. But not crazy about their prices. Have you check out the Kia Optima yet? I am curious to know what are people's opinion on that car. I think the style is totally awesome. And of course overly price.

  • @chinabear3 hey! The Optima is much like the Sonata - in fact Hyundai owns KIA. The Optima has more of a stiff sport feel (as I've read) I'm looking forward to doing a review of the KIA vehicles soon.

  • @chinabear3 their prices are not that bad when you consider all of the standard features and the great warranty

  • @TheMediaMart Well that's true, especially the warranty. Thanks for the great info on all these new models that are out there. And I know exactly what you mean about people getting in the way while you are recording. Totally can relate to that.

  • Little FYI: Hyundai is pronounced Hyeondae, not Honday.

  • @Evisam thanks -- I'm an average guy so I need all the help that I can get!

    Tony

  • Thanks, love the review, you seemed to really enjoy the Elantra, will have to get out to test drive one soon, thinking of getting a new 2012 Elantra GLS!

  • @Zelinna12 I do love this car!!! it's one of the cars that I hated giving back. I just saw an Elantra limited today and it was SMOKIN'!!! Good luck with your upcoming purchase and thanks for the kind words and for watching my video! Tony

  • "Honday"?

  • @khunopie Monday? :)

  • Good review, thumbs up =)

  • @AllisonLyricistSA thanks!
