  • What brand is your soft box ?

  • CAJUNNSC. WHO CARES how the audio sounds! This was a very respectable posting. If you want a hi-end professional studio and video quality training... go out and PURCHASE one. This is youtube...and it's FREE! Why would these guys go out and invest in a hi-end audio system...for you? Get over yourself dude.

    Great job FirstZoom.

  • Is Phottix compatable with pocket wizards that I already own a set of ???

  • I have my opinion of fashion and you have yours. Otherwise, it's a good video review of the flash trigger.

  • @kenlor71 fashion police alert!

  • What the hell is that model wearing? She looks rediculous.

  • @kenlor71 Betty Bee is a well known local model who has her own flamboyant style. In this case, it was a new swimsuit. Please respect her choices and colour coordination. ;-)

  • @FirstZoom really? I would have told her to go home.

  • is iTTL functionality maintained with this brand? What is the flash reliability for this? Misfires?

  • What sort of sync speeds can these achieve, do they support high speed sync..?

  • I also have a question... is it actually possible to shot just with one wireless trigger? Do i have to buy two of these to use them? I guess...

  • thanks for the tips mate ;)

  • Didn't they discontinue the atlas due to a patent issue between pocketwizard aka (LPA designs)?

  • what type of lens is that?

  • @amir0103 ammm.. the smaller one, i couldnt see it but the bigger (tele) is a Canon 70-200mm L F/4 which is an absolut perfect lens for portrait and other subjects. I have it and it's really good and cheap, less then 600$ for a L lens!

  • I guess connection on transceiver is not very well designed coz it's made as 90 degree angle. What is I want to use head light together with side lights? How can I connect head flash and transceiver to the same hot shoe of my canon? Connections should be in parallel.

  • Hi, can the Phottix Atlas sync with Phottix Tetra receivers? Because I don't really like the Tetra transmitter because it is hard to reach the channel switch at the bottom. Thanks!

  • @geonlansis Hi there, just checked with Phottix and the answer is no, the two systems are not compatible.

  • Get an external audio source! You payed for a 7D, another slr, lenses, flashes, wireless triggers... it's the least you can do!

  • Can this hi-speed sync?

  • Question, let me first apologize for being a bit critical. With current inexpensive audio equipment and application software, you must invest in a bit of it. If you're not aware of it already, and I did not read all the comments so it may have already been suggested. You're audio track is well to say the least, terrible. Otherwise thanks...Good work!

  • @CAJUNNSC We do have audio equipment but for test reasons we filmed this video just with a Canon 7D as mentioned in the upper left corner. You will find that all the recent videos don't have this issues anymore as we simply don't use the audio recording on the HDSLR's anymore. Thanks for the heads up thought and we will try to improve where we can.... :)

  • i have a nikon d3000, and sb600, will this work?

  • @youjotr9876 We didn't tested them on Nikon equipment but referring to the manufacturers information they should work fine with all Nikon equipment as well.

  • whats the name of the camera strap you have? thats cool. thanks

  • @alumigas: search for "BLACKRAPID RS-5 FirstZoom Review" on our videos and you will find all the details....

  • The opening comment is hilarious in hindsight considering the maker of Pocket Wizard is now suing for patent infringement.

  • Hi!

what cable do I need to buy to remote-control a 40d?

  • when will phottex put in the right megaherznumber on teh stuff selled to the un? for that monay i will pain a little more and buy an pocketwizzard

  • VERY shifty eyes...

  • only $50 less than pocketwizrds plus II?! What's the point? might as well get the PW..

  • would this work if my setup was a nikon d100 and a nikon sb-800 flash?

  • sir,

may i know if it is compatible with Sunpak pz42x for canon?

  • hello sir, whats the difference between phottix atlas and phottix tetra flash trigger?! tahnk you.

  • I've heard it is compatible with pocket wizard plus is this true?

Can you use them together with PWs?

  • @spzphoto No, these are not compatible with PocketWizards.

  • Are these pre-production units? The ones I purchased don't have that 3rd smaller remote shutter release port...

  • @MidwestPhotoGuy These are pre-production products. The smaller 2.5mm port has been removed. Wired/Wireless remote trigger functions can be accessed through the 3.5 flash ports.

  • Hi can i know is that a monopod that you are using with the flash??

  • i have a nikon d60 and sb600 flash.how come the pop up flash still goes up while the trigger is attach on the hot shoe???.please help.

  • Great video. This got me pretty excited but these things are still pretty expensive for a phottix product. Oh well.... :'(

Does anybody know what lens that is in this video? (not the white telephoto but the one on the left right at the beginning)

  • @jarenwhitehouse: It's a Canon 17-40mm F4L lense if I am not mistaken.....

  • I would like to see photo sample. Where can I go to see them?

  • Thanks for the video. I can't find any good reviews on the Phottix Atlas.

  • auto-fp is high speed sync.. does the phottix atlas support if the shutter speed is above the xsync speed? thanks for your reply

  • would this be compatible with a 430 ex ii? im new to wireless flash triggers.

  • @k2theody Yes they will. Manual only, not ETTL.

  • Comment removed

  • Hi , are these triggers already for sale or we gonna wait for purchasing them.

Another question. Will they work also if hidden by a wall?

    thx.good review.

  • @lamonjuice AFAIK, they're available on pre-order. I'm not part of the company though so could be wrong.

  • hi, wanna ask.. does the Phottix Atlas support Auto-FP ??

  • @bymicol I'm not sure exactly what Auto-FP is. Do you know the generic term, or the Canon-specific one by any chance? These triggers are manual only.

  • I WANT 3

  • Should mention whether if it's TTL compatible? Approximate cost?

  • @chungiwang: It's not TTL compatible and costs about US$115, prices might vary regional and with different currencies

  • who is the sexy model? :P (good review) !!

  • @L76net we can arrange a shooting for you if you are in the Taipei/Taiwan area

  • How far was the indoor shoot ? You said 25 feet, that is about 75 feet.

Did you mean 25 meters ??

  • @downunder69: Yes, 25 meters or about 75 feet. We also tested it outdoors, will try to put that video up soon too.

  • Looking good. :)

  • Very nice review indeed my friend! Cheers! Michael
