I'd personally erase all previous stanley cups to be able to enjoy winning one in the present. If I wanted to go on and on bragging about the past, I would be a Montreal fan.

@templetonbob It doesn't matter, that's past glory. Sure it was great in 2008 and 2002 winning the cup, but what does that do for right now? Currently Chicago is the defending Stanley Cup champion, so they have that to enjoy until someone else wins it.

But again if you are talking about current hockey, the hawks will be at home on a sofa watching the playoffs and have nothing to look forward to but remember last years deserved Cup. Wings are contenders for the Cup every year for the past two decades so I would take that Franchise over any other. They are the only team guaranteed to make the playoffs before a season starts.

As a fan, I personally would rather the Leafs be Chicago and have just won the cup, than have the Leafs be Detroit who won the cup 2 seasons ago, and a few seasons before that.
