That was a great winner's circle. Passing usually means there is a slim to none chance of winning the money but if you really concentrate you can get it. I'm not a fan of Don Rickles so I would not have gotten that one. I guess just saying Don Rickles was acceptable since it was the "essense of the answer" as Dick always says; it wouldn't work in the 2002 era... which was not that bad. Good for her since she played well to win that money.
I agree. I also thought Donny Osmond's version of Pyramid (from 2002-04) was not bad either, but you are right. For the winner's circle rounds, the judges were very adamant about that the subject had to be guessed pretty much verbatim, otherwise, it wouldn't count. But on Dick Clark's version, yes, the judges were more lenient about how the contestant guessed the subjects.
What I found a weird about this $10,000-win was after she got the Don Rickles category, they cut to the full shot of the board as the final trilon flipped, THEN they flashed "$10,000" on screen.
You bet that was close!!! I thought she wouldn't get her answer in on time, but she did!! There have been some similar close calls in the winner's circle. If the lady had guessed that a couple of seconds later, it would have been too late.

Cold and Cool are synonyms, but refreshing is not necessarily one, as it can be a lot of things, like a shower, or a good night's sleep.
