I always imagine Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys writing this song as a memory of them visiting echoing, half-empty seaside resorts as kids and a single organ man is entertaining a few ageing couples in a melancholic beach pavilion theatre. The commentator near the end is simply thanking the attendees for coming and introduction the "band". Gorgeously melancholic tune.
This is such a gloriously beautiful song. Don't we all have those "Once When I Was Six" moments in time? It makes me so happy to have grown up in 1980's. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark forever beautiful.
