Between Castlevania64/Legacy of Darkness and the ones they made for PS2, 64 and LoD are darker and, in my opinion, much more fun. That's just me tho. ^^ Sure the ones for N64 didn't have the best graphics, but hey, graphics aren't what make the game. :]

One thing I loved about LoD was the music. Especially for the intro. It was also kind of cool how they remolded some of the levels and added some new challenges to them.

i remember when i was 7 i was scared of this...but the skeleton at 2:53 that falls off the roof(and seems to explode) always cheered me up :D

the castlevanias are true exemples og gothic in video games pretty much all of them are . and symphony of the night is awesomne because it captures victorian gothic very well. i cannot wait for the 2 newest games by konami. . god bless. and dont draw stupid fan art. meaning bad things.

I've seen the newer games as stated below and they are kind of weird and miss a sort of the dark/fearful looks of the undead. "I haven't played it but i'll take your word on it"

@deadlypotatoes I disagree, I think Lamment of innocence caught the grim and gothic aspect of the series very well, asn so far it remains the most well done of the the 3d titles, but I still prefer CV 64 and LoD because it hits you in the right spots

I agree the new games make the simon velmont (Whatever the main character of the game) look to gothy. And the storyline just seems so overly dramatic.
