Well Evansco2, I Understand what your saying...he was Young there..and MrGeorgestrait97, Let them talk. they dont know what they are missing..The King is awesome and i think we all would agree to that. Weather they are from around there or not they are just to get noticed. Long Live the King:)
I think this was recorded at some point in mid to late 1991 or 1992 at the latest and not 1998. I remember this commercial airing on TNN a lot in the early '90s.
The hits appear to cut off in early 1991 after "I've Come To Expect It From You", which spent 5 weeks at #1 starting in December 1990 and running into January 1991. This commercial could have re-aired in 1998 but it's origins are the early '90s.
@ACcountryFan: Great point. The commercial mentions that he had 22 #1 Singles and 14 Gold Albums -- numbers he would have LONG since surpassed by 1998. On the Billboard Charts, his 23rd #1 was 'I Cross My Heart' in late 1992, and while albums sometimes take a while to reach Gold status, he currently has 15 Gold albums from 1981-1991.
My tape with this ad is definitely from 1998, but I'm changing the year in the title to 1991 -- the most likely date of production.
oh...sorry...I didn't mean anything by it. It's just the way we talk around here. Boy doesn't mean boy literally and it definately wasn't a slam to him.

It also says Entertainer of the Year which he won twice. Once in '89 and again in '90. So my guess is very early 90's.
