I started playing wow after cata came out so i had no idea what arthas was untill someone told me to play the warcraft game and i did and now i think wow cata screwed everything up.

Blizzard killed off all the best Warcraft characters. R.I.P. Arthas, Illidan, Kael Thas, Anub Arak (Yeah i loved him until he became a dungeon boss), Kel Thuzad...and so on. Once Deathwing dies I highly doubt that WOW will give the same appeal it used to. The only people that will be left playing will be the long time players who live in the game, PVPers, and dipshits who don't care at all about the lore. Nothing lasts forever I suppose...

Somehow, he escaped and became the helmet of Arthas' armour (and the Lich King). When Arthas put on Ner'Zhul's helmet, he became the Lich King.

The way I see it, Arthas died when he took up Frostmourne. After that he was just a puppet to Ner'zhul and then Ner'zhul was prolly the driving force when they merged. I just wonder if and when Ner'zhul gains dominance over Bolvar and the scourge attacks again.

@Switch72nd In the time in witch his minions build the Icecrown Citadel, Arthas (the Death Knight) "killed" Matthias Lehner (the personification of the remnants Arthas' humanity) but also Ner'zhul. So, in the end, after he awakened, Arthas alone was the Lich King. And Bolvar took upon himself the power of the entity Lich King, but he is not influenced by no other persona.

Everything I've said became true, Tirion led a campaign against the Lich King and his armies (Trial of Champion, Trial of The Crusader), and played a big role in defeating the Lich King by striking him and breaking the Frostmourne and also killing Arthas. But beware ! The true enemy wasn't Arthas, it is Ner'Zhul which is still in LK's helmet. The war between Ner'Zhul and Kil'Jaeden isn't over ...
