  • You really need an update in your guys equipment,

  • @SuperTrippdaddy Why? This tie inserter is really not that old & does it's job fine. This railroad TLE&W RR is all run by volunteers & is a non-profit organization. We don't have the funds around to by brand new equipment. In order to purchase new equipment we usually use donated money & passenger train ticket revenue. If you wolud like to donate to us to get newer equipment let me know & I can send you a link to our website so you can donate, thanks

  • awesome

  • @pwalpar Thanks Walter

  • Ive watched the ITM In Noblesville use one of these a few times.. Pretty neat stuff!

  • @TheZeke1974 Thanks, track MOW equipment is neat

  • Looking good!

  • @bgsudude81 Thanks! we still have a lot to do but, we are getting there

  • Was the tracks abandoned?

  • @DouglasP201 No, we are just doing more trackwork on our line to get it up to FRA standards. We have been using this line for well over 30 years

  • Cool catch. I've caught CSX in action while doing this, their machines are much larger though. Good stuff!

  • @Engine201 Thanks, yeah they make alo sort of size track MOW equipment

  • I remember this day. I derailed the tie inserter. lol.We need a few more like this!

  • @ohiofoamer7612 LOL thanks Bryce

  • Great Video man! MOW work is awesome!

  • @MNCRR4191 thank you, MOW work is fun but, it will tire you out after a long day of work!

  • @metraF40PH163 Definitely. Especially on the NEC, but now that the entire line has concrete ties there isn't that much maintenance involved with it except for the overhead wires and signals which tend to have problems a lot on the NEC.

  • Thanks for the vid, very interesting.

  • I noticed at 0:14 that the tie behind the wheel was kinda massed up. The spikes were just hangin there

  • @tartopfan It is an old tie that has seen better days. Right now we need to focus on every 4th in order to run our train. If we could we would replace every tie but, right now we don't have the funds for that. That tie probably could use some tamping though

  • @metraF40PH163 true I wonder what the line looked like in N&W days especiall during steam :D

  • @tartopfan It was actully NKP, though the N&W did own it for a while they never ran steam on it. If you go on our website & go to photo's you can see a photo of a Nickle plate Road steam locomotive going over our bridge

  • @metraF40PH163 cool hey how old are the rails they should say on the side

  • @tartopfan Most are from 1924

  • @metraF40PH163 our main is from the 40's & the spurs are 1929 the year my pop paw was born & still livin

  • @tartopfan Neat, what rail line?

  • @metraF40PH163 NS AGS North District 10 trains a day & most of my videos are on that line

  • @tartopfan Neat

  • @metraF40PH163 go look at them when you can

  • Not to sound rude, but those tracks needed upgraded anyways.

  • @mbta1000 What do you mean? That's what we are doing upgradeing them to FRA standards

  • @metraF40PH163 Well thats good, I have riden TLEW, but those tracks look a bit old, but thats cause N&W used to roam the rails, but whatever keeps the FRA happy is fine by me.

  • @mbta1000 They are old. The rails are from 1924 but, are in great condition. Some ties are old to but, that's because we have limited funds & manpower. we are not a class 1 so our tracks don't need to meet class 1 standards

  • @mbta1000 We don't need to fix our track to class 1 standards anyway since we will only be running a few ties on the weekends and maby once through the week. We don't have enough money to fix our track to class 1 standards as of now. we plan to in the future but our main goal is get the train running!
