Cyrodiil in Skyrim

It seems like if they already have the blue prints for cyrodiil you could texture and add in the entire country relatively easily. Compensate for appropriate aging and boom! We're back in Cyrodill!

For the next Elder Scrolls game they should redo Arena with the more modern graphics and with all the new things in free-rome games today

@GryphesWood yeah, it would take a lot of time, and if they would put better graphics than the ones in Skyrim, maybe even more... but I would still like to see it... :)

anyone else think that this sets us up for future downloadable content/expansions? i found a passageway/gate to cyrodiil south of that city on the bottom left of the map (falkreath i believe) then theres that gateway to morrowind close to riften thats been on the net.

@ACFriday6 I doubt it, the only reason why it's there is because it's a part of the map, that's why it's only low resolution fall-trough terrain.

@KennyGJE I think ACFriday6 is right. Bethesda has already lain the groundwork for either, possible expansions, or to make it a little easier for modders when they release the modding kit in January. I mean, they've already placed the groundwork for the Imperial city.

@VirtualLife18 There are usually skies over the map in Skyrim so you wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway. That's why they aren't completely identical.

Know what would be badass? To have an Elder Scrolls where you could go anywhere in Tamriel, like, from Morrowind to Skyrim, from Summerset Isles to Hammerfell, from Cyrodill to Elsweyr, from Valenwood to Black marsh, hell, that would be AWESOME. Like, The Elder Scrolls VI: Tamriel, :D

But it would be nice to see one with Skyrim's new system... lol I'm not a graphics whore though, I think everything in a game should be considered, not just the graphics, but I would like to see a Tamriel one with Skyrim's graphics :)

@umagarandyorton619 you really should try Arena and Daggerfall, even though they have DOS gfx (very good such) they are both really good games, if you're an Elder Scrolls fan you should give them a try. They are free to download from Bethesda's site.

@shadowedsnipa i think they mean for the next game you could travel through out Tamriel like arena, but with better graphics and lots of quests, though at this point in the games morrowind was destroyed by the red mountain and is now invaded by the argonians. so you could sill there, but it would not as beautiful as it was and it would have a bunch of agonian settlements and not as much dummer. but it would be still cool with the awesome graphics.

@umagarandyorton619 yeah i played arena and daggerfall while daggerfall was fantastic because they crafted it in a better way arena all looked the same, the map system was awful, and it was hard to tell where you were oh and don't forget HALT

Made it there on foot on the 360 version. A wall was glitched in Whiterun and I could just walk out of the city, then I decided to see if It was there, after an hour walk, I made it, but about halfway, the ground dissipated and I fell into a bottom less ocean. Eventually I saw a small vertical line in the distance, and about 20 minutes later I made it to the texture free White-Gold Tower.

@ShroomSamich They can't remove it becuase it's a part of the height-map you see when you open your map (m). You either went over the wrong mountain or you haven't downloaded the file in the description and installed it properly :)
