Once every ten years or so, I come across a song that touches me.

Baby You're Mind was a magical song for me. I was living in Cebu, Philippines the fall of 2007 and would hear this at the Waterfront Casino nightly. Basia's voice is beautiful and this song had all the elements of reaching all of my musical senses. The beat, the flow, the rythmn, the voice...all blending into something delectable. Maybe, it also had to do with my loving the Philippines so much.

I've always loved this song and video.

I once waited in line for hours at one of Basia's signing sessions (with Danny) at a Tower Records in Manhattan, just after "London Warsaw New York" was released.

When it was my turn, I went up to Basia and told her how much my girlfriend (now wife) and I love her songs, and even planned to dance to one at our wedding. "That's what we like, happy couples!" she said. She seems to be a genuinely warm person. It's reflected in her music.
