Incredible sound quality! That song absolutely ruled back in the early 80's! All the cover bands played it in all the venues. Now here in St. Louis, KSH-E 95 will play it occasionally on their Sunday morning 'Classics' show. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
WOW! another song I haven't heard in 20 years. I was in a Touring Cover Band called "WOLF" We played this song every night from 1984 to 1990 in many Rock Clubs throughout the States. Excellent song.
Great song but can NEVER find a good sounding version of it. I've all but given up on it's quality. Still love the song. Brings me back to my last year of middle school. Last year before heading off to high school.
@ricoboxer .... Makes sense that you saw them open for Kiss, this song was written by Paul Stanley. I saw them do this the summer of '79, when the song was released,at the Music Inn-Lenox MA.They opened for The Outlaws. The owners of the venue hired the motorcycle gang the Warlocks as security for another show later that summer(can't remeber who)but they beat up several concert goers. Subsequently, the place was shut down. Too bad it was a host to alot of great shows.
memories can be alive again... John Fannon is going to start performing this spring.... follow him on Twitter- he just made an account- so pumped! John_Fannon
The melody of the voices and the strings, with the guitar chords always in the background....classic. Brings back memories of cruising back and forth through town in my Trans Am....I blew 3 sets of speakers in that car...lol
Killer tune! I don't understand why these guys didn't make it huge, this song is so much better than the majority of the disco crap that was coming out during this time period
awesome !!! I have this vinyl and actually found the cD as a japanese import 6 years ago and paid 65 bucks for it !!! What a great song- they played the heck out of this my senior year in high school ...
I don't know what made me think of this song but I know youtube is great for finding the rare.Growing up in Massachusetts, I remember how I played air guitar to this one back in the day.
Maybe someone on here knows of a band called Storm, they did a song called Machine Gun, anyone know where to find it? 1. GARY MOORE: Back On The Streets 2. POINT BLANK: Penthouse Pauper 3. GILLAN: Back In The Game 4. AXE: You're Out Of Line 5. NEW ENGLAND: Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya 6. STEPPENWOLF: Born To Be Wild 7. STORM: Machine Gun 8. AXE: Fantasy Of Love 9. TYGERS OF PAN TANG: Don't Take Nothin' 10. BUDGIE: Breadfan 11. LYNYRD SKYNYRD: On The Hunt 12. WISHBONE ASH: Runaway
Excellent!... I've been trying to find a comperlation album i had back in 1980 that had this band on it, for the life of me i couldn't remember what it was called, i do now, Precious Metal, it got played to death and was lost somewhere, must ebay it... Thanks for posting this...!!!
Wow... excellent quality!! Thanks.... Grew up in New England. This is a serious blast from the past. As well as PUNK and Turn Out The Light. Glad to know these songs are not forgotten even if they are on the fringe...
Truly an underrated song, this is a gem, I would bet it would make a big comeback if it was featured in a movie or something - Where are these guys today? anybody know?
Goes to prove you can find *anything* on YouTube! Such an obscure track - but one that defines 1979 for me: a holiday in the south of France, complete with severe sunburn and trying to pull tanned French girls at the disco!
In 1980, My Band Medusa covered this song. Great 3rd set song to "Lock in the Girl you've been hitt'in on all nite" Had to show them our "Sensitive side". Thanks for the Great Memories!!
There was a Cleveland area band called "Jester" that covered this great jam. I saw and recorded them many times. Jester did such a great job with any song they played. They did full sets of old "Genesis" that were incredible. Full "Peter Gabriel" costumes and everything! Those nights they played at "Harry O's" in Brunswick Ohio will never be forgotten by anyone who was luckey enough to know it was going on in this little out of the way bar! THANKS Joe, Steve, Bazo, Mike, Vince and the roadies!
I never, ever thought I would come across this song again.....this was one of the songs that defined my adolescent years where girls where concerned; talk about reminiscing big time! Not too many people know that this one hit wonder band was the work of Paul Stanley of KISS.....I just wish that New England would've made it as big as KISS.....I remember buying this album just for this one song along!!!
Let me add my thanks!

This band was awesome when they came out. To bad they were a one hit wonder!

I remember when this song first came out in 1979 here in Canada... It did not get the airplay that it deserved...
THIS beats the crap out of the so called "music" that they play over the airwaves today, hands down!

Wish we could stay young forever, but time ages our bodies and sometimes our minds but it will never diminish a great song.
