I got an update for this game. And now it crashes after less than ten fuckin minutes. Dammit. Just like the old Simcity game.

@garbotron I didn't experience any crashes with the iPhone 4 OS 4.0.1 or 3GS OS 4.0.1 - I know the original SimCity release was plagued with problems, but no personal experience for the Deluxe version

Can't believe they took the original off the app store, must be a way to get my money back.

@semplew Sadly I believe there isn't a way. The issue is half EA and half Apple's fault: EA needed to distance themselves from the original poor release and wanted 'new' release to fix this; Apple try to ensure that developers do not place multiple copies of the same product on the App Store; so instead of patching the original and releasing the 'Deluxe', EA had to pull the original. It's only a theory and it doesn't make it any better for those who got screwed, but yeah... :(

@semplew Do you still have the app sitting in your itunes library? Once you've downloaded an app, it doesn't have to remain in the app store for you to be able to re-install it (as long as you still have the app file on your computer).

@aussieNickuss I know that, but games downloaded digitally, via digital distribution, should still be available for download, especially if people have paid money for them.

@Commando295 Considering Sim City has been selling in various incarnations for ~20 years I think a lot of people disagree with you. I used to love playing the original on my Amiga.
