this is not pop music. pop music really is meant to pull in a certain type of audience. pop music was invented in the 80's, though it was not called pop music at the time, and technically it wasn't meant for a certain type of audience. pop music nowadays are aimed at the young kids really. technically, they would fall under rock category. so much types of rock music out there now, who knows what exactly, i'm not that big of an eccentric person. mixed with other styles as well. great band

I consider this a pop song because the vocals have a Prince(y) vibe, and the synth/vocal hook is pop as fuck. Describing a song as "pop" these days is more related to a particular sound. The pure melody of this song is super accessible. And let's not forget that pop derives from the word popular. This song is everywhere. It's popular...thus pop.
