i think the S.O.S should be his finisher, not the trouble in paradise because the S.O.S gets the fans into the move. the trouble in Paradise is sudden and fast (good) but the S.O.S gets the fans cheering more.
@Choppaaah no he's not giving himself a DDTcos kofi's head does not hit the mat. he front flip and makes his upper back hit the mat! this move has everything in order to be a finisher and it should be.
@Choppaaah dude he lands on his upper back and shoulder area. n even so, the imact hurts orton more. unlike some other moves which clearly hurts the doer more than the doee
Am Glad new talents are using UNIQUE never before seen finsihing moves. It gives their character more edge. I mean look at Miz's finisher...Sexy Facebuster..lol...wut?!? also used by Jeff Jarret? Uninspired finisher. That's why Miz still looks like an average Joe.
@terencewoelke Actually, Jeff Jarrett's move is a forward russian legsweep. Miz's finisher is a full nelson facebuster --- which used to be one of "Grand Master Sexay" Brian Christopher's moves.
@thejakie06 Nope, not at all. Just because it's become popular to say that because someone can't do something, they shouldn't criticize it, doesn't mean I can't see what's right and what's not. That's how critics make a living. I don't necessary feel the need to adhere to every meaningless turn of phrase that comes about. I prefer to do my own thinking. ; )
@KaiserSoze679 He didn't botch it nearly enough to warrent your ridiculous level of critique. This isn't Japanese wrestling, this is WWE, and therefore the standard of wrestling is a lot poorer. So for a WWE star to even complete a technical move like this is a feat that should be commended. You keep on being critical that Kofi didn't rotate his own body that extra 60 degrees and sooner or later his move will go back to being that spinning kick. Don't knock it when the alternative is shit.
@Kolte318 Okay, you're either blind, stupid, or just know nothing about the minute details of wrestling. Yes, Randy took the bump well (its a basic back bump, any wrestler worth a damn does them instinctively) and yes, the flip was okay, but his landing was TERRIBLE. You can clearly see two distinct motions, the land on his shoulders THEN the roll forward into the pin. When done properly, it should be one fluid motion, but that'd be expecting too much of Botchi Kingston.
Kofi has never done this movie right. Not once. Search for 'how to do the ranhei' and watch those guys do it. They're unknowns in a ring in a back yard and they do it better than he does. Kofi is an impressive ATHLETE, but a terrible WRESTLER.
@Maleknia 1 ya its a bad move and 2 its not an enzuigiri its a tornado kick an enzuigiri is when they hold your leg and you jump up and kick they head with a roundhouse jeez get yoy facts right before you post stuff
@dragon61rider Here is the definition. Now admit you're wrong.
The term Enzui is the Japanese word for medulla oblongata and giri means "to chop". Thus, an enzuigiri (often misspelled 'ensuigiri' or 'enzuiguri') is any attack that strikes the back of the head. It is usually associated with lighter weight class wrestlers. It is often used as a counter-move after a kick is blocked and the leg caught (called a "leg feed"), or the initial kick is a feint to set up the real enzuigiri attack.
@Maleknia Its not an enzuigiri mate, when done right its a very hard kick to do, its a 540 Taekwondo kick which frankly Kofi does a very poor job of just as he does a poor job of the ranhei.
@Maleknia The thing is though this is American wrestling where the enzuigiri is a specific style of kick just like the American DVD ist a DVB and the American shining wizard is a shining apprentice.
But regardless of that this kick is a Taekwondo kick adapted to pro wrestling, Kofi however lacks the technique to pull it off properly, it looks a 100 times better when a TKD master does it
@Maleknia It's a Jamaican Buzzsaw kick as they call it. But it is really a spinning Enzuigiri yes. But I can't do it. He is athletic but Kofi isn't the only one who used a kick as his finisher. That doesn't make him a terrible wrestler. Shawn Michaels a superkick. Yoshihiro Taijiri a buzzsaw kick. CM Punk a roundhouse kick at times. Hurricane a basic running enzuigiri. That don't make them bad wrestlers at all. And Kofi does the Ranhei (SOS) perfectly he just doesnt have enough flip into it.
@AeroLord117 Before you comment, make sure you know what you're saying. The buzzsaw kick, made famous by Tajiri, is a kick to the head on a downed opponent. An enziguri is executed by faking a kick with one leg (feint kick) followed by a kick to the head by the other leg. In other words, Trouble In Paradise is more of an enziguri than a buzzsaw kick.
@Maleknia That's not an enzuigiri. It's a spinning roundhouse kick. And most of those muscleheads WWE likes hiring can't get their feet up nearly that high. Although I do like this move. But he stopped using it because either he or the seller would botch and one of them almost always wound up landing on their head.
@Findecan I concur. And a finishing move doesn't have to look impressive or be complex to be seen as effective. For anyone who doesn't believe a kick to the face can be bought as a finisher, I think Shawn Michaels would have something to say about that.
I'd much rather take that move than do it. taking it is just a back bump. to do it means risking a serious neck injury
