I first saw the Loved Ones at the Bottom of the Hill around '92 at the record release party for Better Do Right. I saw this show too and many others. Whenever Xan gets back in SF and the band gets back together for a show, I'm there. When they perform together you realize how truly special The Loved Ones are. I wish Xan would hang up on Cake and get back with Bart, John, and Mike. Nothing these guys do separately is as good as when they play together as The Loved Ones.
