  • Just lovely and live.

I wish bands nowadays would have at least half the credibility The Saints have.

  • They are not a punk band but a 1990s indie band who have been transported back in time to 1977. Their sound is so early 1990s indie it is unbelievable.

  • Barrington on guitar. This is the line up that recorded the Monkey Puzzle album in 1981.

  • but punk wasn't defined by a particular musical 'style' or way of playing..it was an attitude, punk-writers, poet, .....

  • I like your song

  • Hey slug get a black dog up ,,and go watch and listen to some Bee Gees another good Band from Brisbane ,,lol

  • Yeah me too Tony Slug, but neither of us did, nor made dozens of albums like Ed did.

Not many true punk bands back in 76

  • @simmo2303 this isnt ed kuepper playing he left the band in 78 or 79. chris is the only original member here

  • @dronecult you're right - doesn't look like Ed at all. Pretty sure he played on the original version. A favourite band; saw them a lot late 70s - early 80s

  • @simmo2303 of course he played on the original, it was on the first saints record. wish i saw them in the 70s. lucky

  • This was at Camden Dingwalls. Fantastic. Place is still there. Excellent sound, great song, great band. ahead of their time.

  • this guitar player sucks ass I can do this way better

  • oz rokno betta

  • yeah, it's much faster and punk, thios is classic rock and roll, but still great.

  • It's faster on the album.

  • mabuhaygardens,com

  • @salsaposhpen this isn't for people like you. fuck off.

  • @salsaposhpen Dumb bitch... Listen to the music, not the look.....

  • A question for Markbirmfanclub. Do you have the full length version ?

  • Wow! I never knew others liked the drummer so much. Yes Mr Kenley I can verify there is a full length version, but I think its locked away in a video vault somewhere because I just can't find it. I do believe he would often adjust his kit. I believe his shorts were pink. Has anyone else seen this?

  • Please do show the full version. I'd love to see the drummer adjusting his kit.

  • If anyone does have the full length version

please would they post it. I've heard at one point between songs the drummer quickly stands up to adjust his kit and gives us a great view of him wearing only a pair very skimpy shorts. Can someone verify this ?

  • Ooooh yes! I like the drummer too. Isn't he just so scrummy. Someone told me he once played in the Glitter Band?

  • I think the drummer is rather cute

  • This whole gig is on video...somewhere. it's awesome. I wish someone would post more songs from it, like "In The Mirror".

  • I agree. I love "In The Mirror."

  • This is off Scarce Saints Hymns of Oblivion. Live at Dingwalls London 1981.

  • Cheers 4 that 1 - weren't they absolutely super

  • i think these guys are better then "punk" they're from before punk, they're more on the scale of the stooges, more like really loud rock'n'roll. they don't dress up and play shitty enough for be called punk- not that punk is a good or bad thing, just they're better.

  • A lot of early punk was more cranked up rock n roll Stoogesy / r n b ..but listen to this sonic intensity of I'm Stranded. Its full on extreme.

  • This is a particularly good live version...

  • monkey puzzle era...and then God created youtube...

  • but its only the singer really innit..the others were gone by then

  • ? - all the original members on this clip except Algy on bass who replaced Kym Bradshaw (who went of to join the lurkers - go figure!) - and he was with them from the second LP - the classic line up i'd say

Sham - where did this come from and have you got anymore?!!!!

  • I do apologise - they were all gone except bailey by then eh!

    So long ago - sigh!

  • read your first posting loads scratching my ead then i saw your second! Never knew Bradshaw joined the lurkers. Algy of course joined the seminal Machine Gun Etiquette period Damned !

  • A shamefully neglected band - watch as they fly!! Bring on the rum xx

  • yes..nice

  • Awesome!
