excellent rendition, however Stevie originated and did it best...Michael Jackson with J5 is a relatively close second...this version is good but she sings these vocals in a bit too much of an organized structured way. Stevie you could really feel that he was lost in the emotion of the song. Michael Jackson was able to reproduce that emotion as well.

I agree with you -- 50% -- N'Dea just rips this up and stirs up emotions with this song---but the other half of me goes with Michael Jackson and his brothers background vocals on this from the early 70s off the ABC album. MJ's young, forceful voice just tears at the heart -- and then when his brothers join in -- it's real heavy man!!:)

NDea Davenport had incredible control over this track she was definitely in the pocket & sang on the parts she needed to. Every time I hear this version... I keep waiting for it to take flight.. and it never does. She did a GREAT job... but she made a grave error in recording the song in the same key as The Jackson 5. The high notes in the song were at the top of her range and you can hear her playing with melody because she had nowhere to go as the song climaxed. If you listen to the J-5 version.. Michael gets more intense... higher in register and totally surrenders to the song. She should have lowered the key.
