easier way of finding "pikachu" in the safari zone is having a pokemon (ex. Pikachu, Raichu, Electrike, Manetric etc.) with the ability "static" in your team/party

Here's a little hint to get a Pikachu, since they are rare, to appear more often in the safari zone, you just have to catch a more common pokemon like mareep (after you get the other part of the safari zone unlocked) and since mareep has the ability static it'll attract pokemon of the electric type. So just put your static ability pokemon in the front of you party and you will have Pikachu's coming to you like mice to cheese. Hope this helps for those trying to find a Pikachu.

Catching Pikachu with lightball: Have a pokemon with compoundeyes in front of your party as it increases chances of a pikachu with held item. let it faint. then have a pokemon with static(i heard boy pikachu works best) behind the pokemon with compound eyes. static helps find more electric type pokemon. it works real good. got it on my first try in Heart Gold.

This is the hack way.

To be legit, you catch a Pikachu at Safari zone, and see if it is holding a Light Ball.

Give the light ball to the breeding Pikachu/Raichu and make them have "Ditto sex" in the daycare. Come back later, you'll get a Pichu with Volt tackle, seems easy? Getting the Light ball is the hard part.
