@F1zzyHD - Thx for your comment, I used to be unclear of the difference, but this video is match moving, not motion tracking: Motion tracking is for 2D, because I incorporated 3D elements and therefore needed to solve a camera in 3 dimensional space, it's technically called 'match moving' - take, for example, the "motion tracker' in after effects versus the Autodesk program called "MatchMover" they are appropriately labelled because they perform different functions.
@F1zzyHD - okay, let's agree to disagree, but this is straight from boujou's website: "Emmy Award-Winning Matchmoving software that enables you to add computer generated effects seamlessly into your film or video footage."
@chungmanchang - yep, you're right, see my comment to F1zzyHD from two weeks ago. (I made this video two years ago, before I knew the difference, hence the wrong title of motion matching for the video. But as a 3D student at Vancouver Film School, I've learned quite a lot.)
@alta8bird THANKS! I never new the difference! I used to have some vids on my own channel of 3d motion... MATCHING.. on my old channel but called it tracking.. That makes sense now ;)
how do you know where to put that sphere? when i import the camera solve to maya i get a camera and a 2d plate where my footage is showing and some tracking dots. But dont know where to put my 3d object since the plate is 2d =/
PLEASE RESPOND!!!! Whenever im done Tracking and then i do Camera solve it stops solving half way and then when i play it it shows the blue dots following the movement of the camera and not the movement of the floor. its kinda like the blue dots are glued to the cameras lens. how do i fix this?
eZiiiify Hey, what tutorials have you watched to do this, would love to learn how to import 3D object(s) or text into some of my footage from COD4 -game.
____________
I too would like to know which tutorials you have watched to learn to do this as I too, would like to add some 3D text to my game footage, along with creating nice titles for future shorts. Please PM me if necessary, otherwise just respond a.s.a.p. Thanks in advanced!!!

@alta8bird No
Motion tracking is not just 2D space
Boujou has an x , y and z axis for 3D tracking
It even advertises itself as a moton tracking program

Did you model the orb or download it?
GavenEdmonds 7 months ago
@GavenEdmonds he probably modeled it, 'cause it's simple
ninjaspion 7 months ago
@ninjaspion Theres no modelling to it... It's just a spher with a sharp gradient meeting in the middle.
iPalmerFX 6 months ago
@iPalmerFX yep, that's why I thought that you did it, it's not so complicated that anyone would download it.

@iPalmerFX well, not YOU, but the guy who made the vid
