What are the chuck rotary stops like with these? I've tried the new Bosch one and that's forever jamming because it's too weak, even if the hole is piloted.
Call me cynical, but that was a brand new drill bit and I bet that concrete block was piloted first to make that look easier. I'd like to see testing done through a 2foot thick stone wall or engineering brick.
OK, the all important questions: How long does the battery last, how long does it take to charge, and how much do replacement batteries cost!? I've personally decided that I will only buy corded tools (as a homeowner).
@Vincerama The batteries will last 2000 charges at least due to the active cooling system and the optimal charging. You can charge a 2.2Ah in 22 minutes and a 2.6Ah in 1 hour. Replacement batteries like all power tools are a relatively expensive part and you'd need to shop around to get some deals. Best starting on the Toolstop website though.
Do you think you could do a comparison video between the 36v sds drills available, makita bosch hitachi and dewalt please. Including size side by side as well as weight and importantly a speed race through a block of concrete.
This makita looks the best but hard to say without comparison.
I wish ryobi did a 36v, i got a lot of their stuff, its cheap but 18v wont be powerful enough. Do you have any inside news that they will make a 36v one? After-all they already make 36v for garden stuff.
@TheOriginalBrightIs I'm afraid as an independant dealer who deals with all the above mentioned manufacturers Toolstop cannot be seen to do a comparison video between them. Sorry about that.
i want one too but £750 i dont know. bit less than a weeks work of money makita are the best but £750. £450 £500 ok i will have one but i cant see it make me my money back fast so no.
