It's so important to get help at the very onset of symptoms, and be willing to try medications. Also, I wish that everybody in the world knew that if it all gets to bad, you can always ask your general practitioner if they know of a hospital mental health treatment program that you can admit yourself to. Lets face it, upwards of 90% male in the fashion industry (uh, for instance Project Runway) are in fact gay for which there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Then too, I'm sure you are aware that his Sister finally came out as a Lesbian (Jessica). It can't be easy being gay in the Osmond (Mormon) family. My comment was in no way negative. I was merely speculating on the reason for his suicide. Stereotypes are only bad if used in a negative way but statistically they are none-the-less valid.

That was my first thought. He was gay and could not handle the rejection and pressure of his church, his friends and family, and a celebrity mother whose life is under the microscope. Dealing with being different is so hard at that age. I am sure these were factors. I hope one day the stigma of being gay will end. RIP Michael.
