Huge Crack Back Block, Colony High School, Alaska, Cache Summers

Great hit, but not a "crack back". Referee's call if it was legal, there were no Palmer or Colony players other than these two any where near the ball. I've coached a lot of football. The play was behind the ball and more than two feet as some have suggested. He blew the kid up, but the hit did not make it possible for the ball to be advanced.

Nice comment. Pause clip at .135 sec and you will see that Palmer kid is reaching for the tackle when hit. Yes #5 has the ball. That brown, oblong thing in his right hand is a football. Yes there is another lead blocker down the field which you may assume was the ball carrier being tackled. There was no flag from the Ref, in fact the Ref commented on how clean, and good the hit was. It was a block, not a lead-with-the-head cheapshot that usually happens at this "Home Field"
