Yes it has a thinklight and yes you can brighten up the display. you have to cange it in the bios. because everytime you unplug it from the AC its brighten down. this opten can be disabled in the bios. but a nice review. liked it...funny dude;)

I just bought a MacBook AIR. I love it, but I wish I had known about this laptop first... I likely would have given it a shot, considering how impressed I've been with Windows 7. The x301 costs more, but the built in optical drive, more USB ports, more RAM and insane battery life would have been worth it.

Oh well.

no Display Port is not a sucessor to HDMI, its just an alternative.

nope in the near future it will be the successor to hdmi since it can handle both hdcp, hdmi, vga and dvi... so it's basically one port for everything.

look up the specs. display port is the future ;-)

@SFseis Welp, I'm from the future of April 2011 and I can tell you that still nothing uses DisplayPort. HDMI is still king. Maybe in the future of future :)

Omg, I need to know, did that model have a 6-cell battery? I saw the battery bump in the last few seconds of the video u flipped the laptop. I hope to god the 3-cell doesn't cause that bump...

if you watch it again around 4:45 you'll see the battery isn't located at the back but at the front so no bump.
