So if you're squatting 400lbs and the sticking point is the bottom, you can put 425lbs or whatever on there and then attach bands. The bands will assist at the bottom but as you come up you receive the load and finish with the 425lbs..
I could never really understand reverse bands... Doesn't it help him bring it up? Or is that the purpose so it's not as hard at the bottom of the hole and harder near the "lockout"?
is this really that healthy or good for a 18 year old kid in the long run? doing all these weights is great but I am sure it shaves years off of his life!

That is pretty good, but it's not considered "deep" as he didn't break parallel, still a great feat of strength though.
