this is not a Flight simulator! this is a game like CSS. only shooting. A flight simulator would have missions that r real even by the amount of time you take to finish it. Somewhere around 1-2 hours, way longer then this game.

OF COURSE THOSE MANEUVERS CAN BE DONE!! its called The Cobra Maneuver and there's only one plane that can make that kind of turns and is the Suhkoi- 37 Terminator, recently USA Pilots have been practicing those extreme maneuvers also on some F-22 Raptors, besides of those two planes no one can make those extreme maneuvers without tearing apart in midair, and those planes are not unmanned those planes have real and living pilots .
think before you post. thats not just a cobra maneuvre, the fuckin plaine is turning from straight forward to backwards in 2 seconds without loosing speed.
thats flying with 800mph forward and just in 2 seconds flying with the same speed backwards. i think you know what happens to the human body after that.
The manoeuvre as it is shown there is impossible, yes BUT if you decrease the throttle and then flip it it would be possible. Otherwise either the plane would fragment or the pilot would die from the incredible amount of G-forces being produced.

did you actually complete the game?? it is not possible to make a 180 flip at mach 2 in real life withouth completely slowing down first and the way it is done ingame makes sure your wings would break in real life.
als recovering from stall is possible in real life, but in the game when falling just tilt the nose up and hit the throttle and all off a sudden without any forward speed you go full speed seems like an instant acceleration to me aka never seen that on a plane....

I think they have compression suits for that but to be honest a plane won't stop like that in a dogfight. that is purely fictional. F-22 would eat up su-35 with it's insanely huge RCS.

The problem with doing all that high maneuver stuff in real life is that you loose airspeed and altitude which are 2 major essentials in air combat. The USAF witnessed this kinda stuff during the last Red flag exercise where the Indian Air Force (who were invited in 2008) tried some of that high maneuver stuff with their Su30MKKs and found they lost too much speed and some altitude which allowed more conventional F16s and F15s to get into some very ideal attack positions.
Ace Combat was put on the superior system. Despite H/W failures, the Xbox 360 has better games, a better controller, and a much better Online service with standardization of voice chat. You betrayed north america by buying a PS3. and not even Solid Snake can hold the weight of that entire enterprise on it's shoulder.

the cobra has variations and its done by the migs and the su's . i think the first nato jet to be capable of that is the f22 .
although ive heard that an older mirrage dose the pugechov cobra as well.

they can do that manuver in real life, just not going quite that fast. just my guess but if you try a backfip in mach 1 you're probably gonna die from the g-force.
everytime i've seen the f22 do that at an airshow they're always going extremely slow.

It's not a cobra manouvre it's called a Kulbit, cobra doesn't do a full 360. And yes the F-22a Raptor can do it it's been done in airshows before.

Wrong. There also is a cobra flip. The kulbit is where you loop without gaining or losing much altitude for the cobra you thrust and then loop.

i agree!! one of the creators said that you can't pull of Cobra-strikes, etc off if you are in cockpit.... then tell me how the hell did the russian pilots who first did it, acomplish it with out some stupid arcade view?
But this is what you get when you get a NON gamer to make a game for Gamers. They should have at least given you the chance to try doing those maneuvers while in the cockpit:(

I'm not sure who this was aimed at, but from waht i can see on this page... there isn't anyone disrespecting it, but only sharing the POWs. I only saw that UBISOFT site explain that you can't, and no i don't have a console so i haven't gotten the demo.

The two planes that are featured in this trailer, the FA-22 Raptor and Su27-38 Flanker are both capable of these manuevers, the technique that the Flanker uses to turn around and shoot is known as the Pugachev, or Cobra, in Russian. Its the only aircraft that can pull that move off and not go out of control.

My Xbox 360 was purchased on release day, I have not had a single mechanical issue with them. Same with my 4 buddies, they don't have problems either.

The problem with doing all that high maneuver stuff in real life is that you loose airspeed and altitude which are 2 major essentials in air combat. The USAF witnessed this kinda stuff during the last Red flag exercise where the Indian Air Force (who were invited in 2008) tried some of that high maneuver stuff with their Su30MKKs and found they lost too much speed and some altitude which allowed more conventional F16s and F15s to get into some very ideal attack positions.

Ace Combat was put on the superior system. Despite H/W failures, the Xbox 360 has better games, a better controller, and a much better Online service with standardization of voice chat. You betrayed north america by buying a PS3. and not even Solid Snake can hold the weight of that entire enterprise on it's shoulder.
