It's competition, Vita, is faltering in Japan and it at least launched with the benefit of a holiday season, something 3DS didn't have. Yes, I did. I really did use those games along with many others, and the only games I listed without a solid release date is Snake Eater and Heroes of Ruin. Revelations is Feb. 7, Tales of Abyss is Feb. 14, Kid Icarus is Mar. 23. Fact of the matter is, the 3DS has games both currently and on the way and that has been the case for a while now. This is the same guy who has to question if Nintendo won E3 when most publications say they did, so it's hard to take him seriously.

Heck, we knew about Wii's existence (under the name of Revolution) as early as E3 2004, the controller wasn't shown until TGS 2005 and Wii shown proper at E3 2006.

Well think about it, Nintendo has screwed up countless times. That is how they created the wii. A great example is the power glove which is the first real motion control. The virtual boy was terrible. The wii succeeded in motion control and sold out because of it. The 3D is just another stepping stone for them. Retro Studios, the people who made Metroid Prime 1-3, they could have done so much with DK, they could have made a 3D version superior to rare's but what did they do? DKC returns WASTED POTENTIAL.

It can create different gameplay , but I don't personally believe the games I want will be there when I want them kinda like the wii(got it day 1), which hasn't gotten a starfox, and isn't getting the new Kid Icarus.

@ATARI800XLfan planned, but no set release date or the main fact IF THE GAME WILL BE GOOD. The main fact is 3DS while it's great tech...it's just 3D and unless it's a puzzle/mysterty games where you see "hey there's something coming out the edge of that dresser oh it's a macguffin(item that explains or moves everything along or will be important). I never bought any of the 5 halo games(you forgot Wars) and not going to buy the 6th.
oh and the same thing goes for mario, I've never with my money bought a mario game. Sony and even microsoft gave at least a release window on stage for 90% of what was on stage. Golden Eye and Donkey are classics but the fact is with Donkey Kong it looks like they're doing the same thing rare did with a 2.5D tiwst.,which will be interesting yes but good? time will tell. same with goldeneye wii time will tell if it's a good game it might bomb like Rouge Agent or the Atari as a hardware company.
It's more the fact they showed stuff they didn't take chances like they could with say instead of getting us a DK country style game, how about try to make another 3D DK game? Retro proved they can make a competent beautiful game in 3D. how about making a 3D kirby game with the same gameplay as epic yarns going for (though I do like what 2D Epic yarn is doing, it's still the basic Side scrolling with a new gameplay mechanic ). I'm think nintendo could have done better with what they had.
As you can tell from my examples, I like Nostalgia but also like some sort of progression with it or as I'll call it "Nostalgic progression". I believe Nintendo had a good showing but Sony had a killer one with it's variety,exclusives and suprise of Nostalgic Progression of twisted metal which features new vareity of airborne combat, new modes, factions that can drive any car instead of characters in one car type, new specials. See where I'm going with this?

@Flaoither3 and that's the thing consoles but they barely announced shit for wii(Zelda ,DKCR and Mario party mix, Kirby Epic yarn) only the 3DS and DS are getting 75% of the titles announced at E3.... I'm sorry but I can't let that shit go that nintendo wants us not only to buy another handheld, but that they're basically abandoing doing anything truly new with their system beside Zelda which is basically everything out wiisports resort.

@KanameTousen Dud im sorry but 60% of the stuff you just said is bs. Nintendo announced more games for thier console >Wii< that Sony did for PS3. The only DS/3DS games they announced at E3 were: DQIX, Kid IcarusUprising,and GoldenSunDD. Thats not fucking 75% of all the titles announced at E3 (or nintendo's conference)!! And also I dont see what you find wroung with the 3DS. Its graphics are far better than the PSP(the Gamecube and the PS2), its in 3D (you can turn the 3D off)

I never said there was anything wrong with 3D but nintendo has done 3D wrong before(Virtual Boy) wait you can confirm it's more powerful then a PSP I mean like going hands on and showing the best the PSP has to offer and the best the 3DS has to offer in a full game? or you just speculating of reports.

Retro Studios, the people who made Metroid Prime 1-3, they could have done so much with DK, they could have made a 3D version superior to rare's but what did they do? DKC returns WASTED POTENTIAL.
Same thing with Project Sora and Kid Icarus which is obviously isn't going to be bulit for anything more then 3DS.

@ipodtouchhugger and what I mean by it being meh, yes it's 3D but you have to stand in a certain spot to get the 3D effect if you were looking at it from the wrong angle it'd instantly ruin the 3D effect(unless you turn off the 3D), You have your opinions but I noticed how you dodged mentioning Twisted metal, the fact Sony showed of LBP2's new functions, hell even that they gave GT5 a release date.

@ipodtouchhugger Again,Zelda was meh even when it did work, well classics don't get you everywhere especially when they are the same thing you played 10 years ago and can play now for 5 bucks off the wii shop channel. The 3DS is just a DS in 3D nothing new about it, the support for it is astounding but the tech is MEH i. I'm going to ignore kinect since what they showed was trash, and say that the Move, you wouldn't think someone was crazy asyou watch them play sports champions or sorcery

And when you look at 3DS as a product what dose it bring to the table? glasses-less 3D gaming,which only works if your directly infront of it in the sweet spot or else it looks like those holographic pictures that change when you look at them different ways. It can create different gameplay , but I don't personally believe the games I want will be there when I want them kinda like the wii(got it day 1), which hasn't gotten a starfox, and isn't getting the new Kid Icarus.

@necornhuskerfan actually with modern inflation on it's launch price the NES, The SNES then the wii is the most expensive 3 they put out, and this is newer tech that no other handheld or console has ever dealt with. Plus if it is 250 dollars or more I want you to apologize. I don't want to save up enough I'm not going to support this, you don't know the price point they're going to announce and basing it on "Nintendo tradition" isn't really going to change the cost of making the 3D screens

Nintendo didnt just win E3, they fucking raped it, you cant say they didnt win just coz the 3ds didnt have a price or release date. Fact is 3ds will be out within the next year and it will be affordable as all nintendo products are, also 3ds is gonna launch with over 25 games on day one, thats amazing. Nintendo had already won E3 just by showing off Zelda, the fact that they also showed off Goldeneye,Kirby, DK Returns and the fucking 3ds was just the icing on the cake. 3ds wont be expensive dude

@KanameTousen Just check wikipedia for a list of games being released for the 3DS there is over 70 games planned for the system. Also what is wrong with a new Goldeneye and Donkey kong, those were the classics we grew up with. That is like how they keep on releasing Mario games, or for example 4 Halo games so far. What is your point.

@ATARI800XLfan planned, but no set release date or the main fact IF THE GAME WILL BE GOOD. The main fact is 3DS while it's great tech...it's just 3D and unless it's a puzzle/mysterty games where you see "hey there's something coming out the edge of that dresser oh it's a macguffin(item that explains or moves everything along or will be important). I never bought any of the 5 halo games(you forgot Wars) and not going to buy the 6th.

oh and the same thing goes for mario, I've never with my money bought a mario game. Sony and even microsoft gave at least a release window on stage for 90% of what was on stage. Golden Eye and Donkey are classics but the fact is with Donkey Kong it looks like they're doing the same thing rare did with a 2.5D tiwst.,which will be interesting yes but good? time will tell. same with goldeneye wii time will tell if it's a good game it might bomb like Rouge Agent or the Atari as a hardware company.

It's more the fact they showed stuff they didn't take chances like they could with say instead of getting us a DK country style game, how about try to make another 3D DK game? Retro proved they can make a competent beautiful game in 3D. how about making a 3D kirby game with the same gameplay as epic yarns going for (though I do like what 2D Epic yarn is doing, it's still the basic Side scrolling with a new gameplay mechanic ). I'm think nintendo could have done better with what they had.

As you can tell from my examples, I like Nostalgia but also like some sort of progression with it or as I'll call it "Nostalgic progression". I believe Nintendo had a good showing but Sony had a killer one with it's variety,exclusives and suprise of Nostalgic Progression of twisted metal which features new vareity of airborne combat, new modes, factions that can drive any car instead of characters in one car type, new specials. See where I'm going with this?
